Popular children's recording artist Zak Morgan will be performing once again at Kidchella.

A free day of community, music, treats and more is in store as Cincinnati Family pulls out the stops!

Celebrate summer with Cincinnati Family on Sunday, August 8 during the 5th annual Kidchella Music Festival! Live performances will be by Zak Morgan, Miss Joanie and more. There will be giveaways, tasty treats available from The Mobile Cone, an amazing playground, fun vendor booths and much more. In addition, Cincinnati Family is excited to announce a new partnership with CancerFree KIDS. The local non-profit works hard to eradicate childhood cancer, and to date, CancerFree KIDS has funded 142 research projects, totaling $5.3 million. A portion of the proceeds raised during Kidchella will go to CancerFree KIDS. Come on out for a day of fun on Aug. 8! Paddlefest is back for 2021, part of the new Outdoors for All Expo uniting all kinds of folks who love to float and more!

Outdoors for All Expo (Pre-Paddlefest!)

Paddlefest — the kayak and canoe race down the Ohio River — is back for it’s 20th anniversary, and with it comes a brand-new night of nature-enthusiast fun! The Outdoors for All Expo takes place the night before Paddlefest, Friday, August 6 at Schmidt Recreation Complex (2944 Humbert Ave.). The festivities run from 4 - 9:30 p.m. and include bike test rides, camper van tours, farm-to-table snacks, canoe rides, live music, local beer and food and more. Paddlers can also spend the night by the river with a $20 reservation.

New Code Ninjas Locations

Children who enjoy STEM learning and video games will love coding at Code Ninjas! Green Township has a new location at 6507 Harrison Avenue. There is also a Code Ninjas located in Anderson Township (7426 Beechmont Ave, Suite 210) and another new location coming soon in Montgomery. At Code Ninjas, children ages 5 - 14 years old can explore coding and technology to solve problems while working together and engaging creative thinking skills. Tallant Music Studio Now Open

Northern Kentucky families have a new destination for music lessons. Tallant Music Studio recently opened up in Fort Thomas (122 N Fort Thomas Ave.) to offer a variety of music lessons including voice, songwriting, composition and instruments ranging from bass to viola. New students can check out what Tallant has to offer with a four lesson trial period; term lessons are available in 30, 45 and 60-minute sessions with each session culminating with a recital.

CPS' Back-toSchool PreK

Little ones looking forward to school have the opportunity to get back into the swing of things with the new Cincinnati Public Schools Jump Start program. CPS-enrolled incoming preschoolers and kindergarteners can get accustomed to a school schedule with this fourhour school prep course offered in the morning from August 9 - 13. Students will enjoy breakfast and lunch during the program which will focus on math, reading and social-emotional learning. Transportation will be available for all kindergarten students and preschoolers with disabilities.
