Nashville’s 2022 regular season kicked off in late February with 8 straight away games. Starting in May, the Boys in Gold finally get to return home and play at their new home stadium, GEODIS Park. The 30,000-seat stadium is the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States and Canada, featuring a 360-degree canopy, a 65-foot-wide shared concourse and a safe standing supporter’s section. The inaugural home match on May 1 will be showcased on the national stage on ESPN with kickoff slated for 3 p.m. against Philadelphia Union. If you plan to attend a match in 2022, here’s what you need to know: chased online at Ticketmaster, for around $23, but prices vary.

Options include 11 on-campus parking lots, three off-campus lots with shuttle service and seven alternative transportation options.
Making history
Nashville SC rose to historic heights in the club’s second season in MLS after clinching the third seed in the Eastern Conference and reaching the Eastern Conference Semifinals for the second consecutive season. The Boys in Gold became the first modern expansion club to win a playoff round in each of its first two seasons of existence, while becoming the seventh team in history to go a full season unbeaten at home.

Defender Walker Zimmerman elevated to national recognition in 2020 after winning the MLS Defender of the Year award and being named a part of the MLS Best XI. Other players to watch are striker C.J. Sapong and current scoring leader, midfielder Hany Mukhtar.
