Spectacular nature, world-class food and drink experiences, a vibrant artistic community, and our famed wellness offerings are some of what makes the Daylesford and Macedon Ranges region popular, year-round.

For tens of thousands of years, Indigenous people have seen the area as a place of gathering and healing. More recently, the wealth driven by the gold rush bestowed upon us some beautiful villages and unique Swiss Italian culture. Another cultural legacy is the ‘makers and creators’; you can join one of many classes and workshops, or buy some beautiful pieces of art. For many though, it is the natural beauty that brings them back again and again. Hiking up Hanging Rock, riding the Goldfields Track, or sampling the many natural mineral springs are just some of the activities you can do. And after a full day of exploring, why not treat yourself to an amazing meal? You can try hatted restaurants or buy supplies at a Farmers’ Market and cook up a storm.

Approximately an hour by car from Melbourne’s CBD or Melbourne Airport, or a short train journey from Southern Cross Station, you’ll soon be immersed in the revitalising air of the Daylesford and Macedon Ranges region.
