What are your goals at this moment? First of all, I want to open more shops. I played tennis for over 20 years, and was always planning on going pro. I lost a match in college, and I burnt myself out. I quit tennis the same time I graduated college, but the mentality that I practiced with every day to become a number one player has always stayed with me. If I’m going to put my time into something, I want to become the best at what I’m doing, and I plan to be that in this field too. I want to hire more employees, and create better customer service as well. I think that anyone can become beautiful. The only reason some people don’t realize that is because the people around them didn’t let them know how beautiful they are, or they just didn’t have the opportunity to realize their own beauty. I want to create stores that can help customers realize their beauty and instill a positive outlook.

尾形優希さん 山梨県出身。SOHO Fashion Brea / Mission Viejo店オーナー。幼少の頃か らテニスを続け、プロを目指すも大学卒業とともに引退。米国に移ってか らは美容のプロとして活躍中。“一期一会”をモットーに人との出会いを大 切にし、また周囲に大切にされチャンスを掴んで来たビジネスウーマン。 顧客と信頼関係を築くアフターケアには定評が。
ビジネスを始められた経緯を教えて下さい。 アメリカに来たのは6年前。以前から 「アメリカで働いてみた い」 という思いがあり、それが渡米の理由でもありました。渡 米した当初から、日本語環境に身を置いてばかりではなく ローカル企業で働いてこそ本当のアメリカ生活だと感じて いたので、学生を終えて就職活動をする際も米国企業への 就職しか考えていませんでした。最初は友人の紹介でSOHO FashionのMission Viejo店で店員として働き始め、2年程働 いた後に帰国も視野に入れて人生設計について考えていた 時、マネージャーポジションのオファーがあり米国に残るこ とにしました。前オーナーには入社時から目をかけて育てて もらっており、昨年Brea店をオープンする際、彼女から直接 「マネージャーではなくオーナーとしてやってもらえないか」 と相談され、悩んだ末に受けることにしたのがビジネスを始 めたきっかけです。人にもタイミングにも恵まれていたと感じ ています。前オーナーは、当初他に買い手が決まっていたに もかかわらず私にやって欲しいと言ってくれたので、その期 待に応えたいという気持ちは今も強くあります。 もちろん自分 一人でいきなりお店のオーナーになったわけではなく、アメリ カに来た当初から支えてくれているパートナーや、店舗で働い ていた時から一緒にお店作りをして来てくれたスタッフ、友人 を含めた周囲の応援があってこそ実現したのだと思います。
SOHO Fashionとはどんなお店なのでしょうか？ スワロフスキーを使用したヘアアクセサリーや、ヘアエクステ ンションを取り扱うお店です。質の良いスワロフスキーは、ヘア スタイルに高級感を与えてくれるだけでなく、表情も明るく見 せてくれます。アメリカにはパーティーが日常的に行われ、文化 として根付いているので、ヘアアクセサリーが活躍する場が多 くあります。品質が良く、輝きの強いSOHO Fashionのジュエリ

What are your favorite cafes and shops in L.A.? My favorite cafe at the moment would have to be Urth Caffe. They have latte’s and the organic matcha green tea with boba. I may or may not have ordered both a latte and a matcha green tea one time because I couldn’t decide on which one to get.

Q 3 . What made you decide to create your YouTube channel? I started as a fan who enjoyed watching these inspiring girls on YouTube. I attended a networking event knowing a bunch of my favorite YouTubers were going to be there and I actually became good friends with a few of them. After that, they were the ones who encouraged me to start my channel and now here I am :) Going to that networking event was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
YouTubeチャンネルを作ったきっかけは何ですか？ 元々YouTubeで多くの人に影響を与えているような女性のチャンネルを観るの が好きで、YouTubeスターが集まるイベントに参加したの。その中の数名と友達 になって、彼女たちに自分のチャンネルを持ったら良いと背中を押してもらった のがきっかけ。そのイベントが人生の転機になったのよ。

It must be a lot of work posting your videos as frequent as you do? How do you do that? I honestly enjoy it so much that I don’t consider it as work. It’s kind of like this quote, “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”

Getting to meet my viewers in real life is such a rewarding feeling for me. I’m so used to sitting in my room and talking to my camera so it always makes me happy when I’m able to chat and hug them in real life.

Keiko ad Makoto’s wedding was held on the anniversary that they met. Their wedding was just the two of them, and so romantic that it looked like it was straight out of a movie. They chose to say their vows in front of the beautiful Waimanalo Bay Beach, surrounded by a clear blue ocean and a big blue sky. Located on the east side of Oahu, this beautiful beach has been selected as one of the top ten beautiful beaches in America. The two of them walking on the beach looked like a scene from a romantic movie. The bouquet made out of orchidaceae flowers, the green lei, the couples’ bridal beach sandals, and the groom’s wedding shorts style made the whole wedding very Hawaiian. The local Ukulele musician played Hawaiian music and created a wonderful atmosphere.

The popular girl group “Nylon Pink” preformed, there was a fashion show, and “Rirakkuma” even made an appearance. JPyモデル野津萌さんが今年もチョークアートフェスティバルで大健闘！ The Pasadena Chalk Art Festival was once again held this year on Father’s Day weekend. This art event brings artists from various places together and drew on the streets with chalk under the hot sun for two days. With over 600 participating artists in this major event, Moe has won two straight years and aimed to make a threepeat. With a Michael Jackson’s album cover as the theme, her piece was just shy and regrettably was runner up. For the canvas painting silent auction, she obtained 1st place. We hope Moe’s efforts will continue to flourish in this challenging competition.
