“Receiving the scholarship means that I will have more opportunity to excel in my classes as I won’t have as much of a financial stress and I would like to tell the donor thank you so much. I really do appreciate it and I will definitely pay it forward in my studies and future career. My career plans are to do something in the criminal justice field, even to become an attorney. I am a first generation college student and I chose North Central Texas college because it was close to my home and I felt more comfortable here than I would at a huge university”.

Business Major

Van & Ruth Ward Scholarship

Bowie, TX

“This scholarship means a lot to me because I have been working while taking classes. It has been very stressful trying to come up with the money for my next semester. This money will help with lifting some of the stress off my shoulders. Thank you so much for helping me get the education I need for my future career.

NCTC has been a blessing when it comes to getting great education for a great price. I have loved everything about this college so far and can’t wait to see what my spring semester has in store for me”.

Surgical Technology Major

Ben Turbeville Scholarship

Muenster, TX

“I am currently working to become a surgical technologist. To me, this scholarship gives me the comfort to be able to take some time off work to be able to focus on my studies. Being a financially independent student means I pay for everything by myself and this scholarship gives me a leg up to give me more time to focus. I would like to tell the donor thank you very much for investing in me. One day I hope to be able to give back like you are doing now. It truly means the world to me”
