It is a movement that will b’ezras Hashem take the world by storm. It is a movement that will unite the most popular not-for-profit organizations and largely support them. And it is also a movement that will reawaken an age-old custom and bring it to the forefront.

So what exactly is Project Ignite? In the following pages, you will find a detailed outline of its system, advantages, and program. If you choose to accept the incredible offer that will be described in depth within this brochure, please respond immediately. I urge you to make your decision as soon as possible since the amount of organizations that will be able to own the rights to this project is limited to five.

INTRODUCTION

The

table is set with the finest crystal and silver and the room is filled with an other-worldly aura as the mother of the home, the Jewish Woman, approaches the candles and readies herself to light them. It is with a happy heart that she fulfills one of her only mitzvos. She welcomes the Shabbos Queen with royalty and as she brings her hands to her face, soft tears lightly fall. “There›s so much to pray for,” she thinks. And she starts to beg. As she sways softly and speaks to Hashem, her children gather around her. The older daughters watch in silence while her young son tries to peek. And only after she feels that she›d said enough does she uncover her face and kiss each child softly. With every “Gut Shabbos” she says, another sweet voice responds, “Gut Shabbos.” Finally. Finally the Jewish Mother can now take a seat and a deep breath. She has made it. Once again, the chicken soup is bubbling softly on the hot plate and the heavenly scent of freshly baked challos are permeating the air. And she is relieved that she was able to accept the Shabbos Queen at the right moment despite her many obligations. But when she sits back on the couch, siddur in hand, she sighs as she remembers. She remembers that she forgot. Once again, the age-old custom of giving tzedaka before candle lighting slipped her mind. She was too busy. There were so many last-minute obligations to which she hurriedly tended because the zman was fast approaching. And in her rush, she did not remember. It bothers her so. She has the soft, kind heart of a Jewish Mother, who carries a thousand responsibilities yet cares about a thousand souls. She cares about the women who have not yet been blessed to bear children, about those whose poverty restricts them from preparing even a simple Shabbos meal, and about those who are lighting the candles in a dim-lit hospital room, praying fiercely for their child’s recovery. And she vows that next week, next week, she will put some coins into the pushka. Then next week comes. And goes. She forgets again.

MISSION

Enter Project Ignite. What is the mission of this novel, dual-purpose project? To form an alliance between five respected not-for-profit organizations with the united purpose of raising money despite the difficult economic situation. By promoting an effective means to reconnect (ultimately 250,000) Jewish families to an age-old custom, this project will contribute tremendous sums of money to the organizations involved. Hundreds of thousands of women around the world want to fulfill the age-old custom of giving tzedakah before candle lighting; somehow, their wishes are not fulfilled. In the hectic moments before tranquility envelops their homes, most women do not remember to put some coins into the pushka. In order to sustain this beautiful tradition, Project Ignite was born. Through this project, Jewish families across the globe will have the opportunity to sign up to join klal yisroel's automated erev shabbos pushka. While they will reconnect to the mesorah, they will at the same time support five world-renowned organizations.

What is Project Ignite’s objective? The approximate total outreach for year 2012 is 15,000 people. The Project will reach out to every candle lighting Jew around the world, regardless of his/her affiliation to Judaism. It is our vision that by 2015 the Project Ignite database will contain 100,000 donors, and by 2018 200,000. Over time, no Jew will light Shabbos candles prior to giving tzedakah to the automated erev shabbos pushka.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION | THE MEMBER’S SHARE

Every Project Ignite member will donate a specified sum of money on a weekly basis, at candle-lighting time. The money that the member donates will be added to the five-organization alliance fund. When a person decides to join Project Ignite, he/she can sign up in one of two ways: • The member’s credit/debit card will be charged weekly • The member will pay in cash for the coming year Once a person signs up to become a member, he/she may choose to donate one of the following amounts: • The minimum amount of $2 US (5 NIS, 1 pound) weekly, or larger specified amount • $1 US (2.5 NIS, .5 pound) weekly for every candle the member lights • A specified amount at every time when it is customary to give tzedakah (before lighting Chanukah candles, performing kapparos, etc.) Members who sign up within the first three months of Project Ignite’s inception will enter a weekly raffle to win $180 at any given week throughout the year. Every Project Ignite member will receive the following: • a welcoming package which will include a brochure from each of the five organizations • a log-in number, through which s/he can access his/her account on the Project Ignite website to manage donation amounts and edit locations • a weekly text alert, which will include the candle lighting zman in his/her neighborhood and the name of the weekly raffle winner • a bi-annual newsletter, in which each organization will receive two full pages on which to describe what has been accomplished with the Project Ignite funds • an annual receipt (continued on page 6)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION | THE MEMBER’S SHARE

Every member must commit to a one-year contract. After the year has elapsed, the member will receive the option to cease his/her donation; otherwise, the contract will be renewed automatically. If a member chooses to withhold the donation for a specific week, decrease or increase the tzedakah amount, or add a donation in addition to the specified weekly amount, he/she can do so in one of several ways: • Reply to the weekly text • Log on to the member account on the website The specified amount that the member chooses to donate will be wired from his/her account at the time of the candle lighting zman in his/her location. If the member pays in cash at the beginning of the year, the entire sum is placed into a designated account and every week a specified amount is wired therefrom. When a yom tov lasts two days, twice the amount the member usually donates will be wired from the account to the automated pushka on the first day. In addition to the steady donations that Project Ignite will raise on a weekly basis, people will be able to sponsor the Project on a given week as a zchus for themselves or a loved one in a time of illness, financial struggle, for a shidduch, or any specified yeshuah. Corporate sponsors will be welcome, as well. A member may not withhold his/her donation from a specific organization; rather, the funds are divided equally amongst all five.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION | YOUR SHARE

The novelty of Project Ignite is remarkable. As the head of a not-for-profit organization, you have undoubtedly struggled while trying to raise funds, due to current economic turmoil. However, since Project Ignite is collecting a small amount of money from each member, and the member list has potential to grow into several digits, the chances of raising large sums are great. Because Project Ignite will become a movement, Jews around the world will join willingly and the organizations involved will not have to appeal for donations. Once an organization joins the alliance, it is the responsibility of Project Ignite- not the organization- to promote the Project and raise funds. Every Friday evening, while families across the globe reignite a beautiful ageold custom, large sums of money will be donated to the automated erev shabbos pushka. The money will be distributed as follows: • the company that runs the Project will receive 25% • all marketing expenses will be covered • the remainder of the sum will be divided equally amongst the five-organization alliance Each of the five organizations that will own a right in Project Ignite will receive the following benefits: • return on investment • name recognition via publicity and exposure • free access to Project Ignite’s worldwide mailing list • a full page on the Project Ignite website • advertisement on every piece of Project Ignite literature The accumulated funds will be wired electronically into each organization’s account on the first day of the following month. (continued on page 8)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION | YOUR SHARE

In order for an organization to own a right (for the coming five years) in Project Ignite’s five-organization alliance, the head of the organization must: • pay $50,000 in cash, which will be reimbursed if the organization does not receive this amount until five years from the day of the Project’s inception • commit to promote Project Ignite at organization events • specify a particular cause within the organization for which Project Ignite funds will be used (This measure is being taken to expand the amount of Project Ignite members.) • submit two endorsement signatures from a prominent rebbe, rosh yeshiva, or mekubal (to develop member database), approved by the Project Ignite organizers, who will attend the meeting with the personality • prepare and print a brochure of the organization which will be added to the welcoming package • submit two pages of information and success stories due to Project Ignite funds, bi-annually

| OUR SHARE

As the organizers of Project Ignite, it will be our responsibility to: • promote the Project through every possible venue • reach out to every Jewish family across the globe • raise as many funds as possible

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Project Ignite will target Jews: • in both genders, specifically women • of all ages • of every affiliation • from the entire financial spectrum, wealthy to poor

As a business coach, I have had the privilege to deal with several not-for-profit organizations who have, despite their struggling financial situations, helped many unfortunate souls. When I reflected upon the plight of these organizations, I thought hard to create a medium through which I would be able to help raise large sums of money, collectively. It is my dream and wish that Project Ignite will be that medium. Through reawakening the beautiful tradition of giving tzedakah at candlelighting and raising money on behalf of five of the Jewish world’s most recognized organizations, may we be able to Ignite the Jewish spark in every soul and Unite as a nation as we greet Moshiach.

NUMBERS

Let’s take a realistic look at Project Ignite from a practical point of view. Suppose that 1,000 families join the initiative within the first month. That’s a minimum of $2,000. After 25% is deducted thereof, $1,500 remains. After subtracting marketing expenses, approximately $1,000 remains. That’s $200 as a starter amount. And no obligations or marketing responsibilities on your end. Within several months, approximately 5,000 families will join the Project. That’s a minimum of $10,000. After 25% is deducted thereof, $7,500 remains. After subtracting marketing expenses, approximately $6,000 remains. That’s a minimum of $1,200 weekly. And no obligations or marketing responsibilities on your end. As the member database will grow, bezras Hashem, the funds will increase dramatically, reaching amounts as high as $10,000 weekly. Project Ignite is, therefore, a win-win situation for every organization involved. It does not entail any marketing efforts, and the initial $50,000 investment will be reimbursed if the organization does not receive the said amount within five years from the Project Ignite inception.

in his own words

Every person has visions. To actualize them he needs to work. During my career as a business coach, I’ve met many people with visions. Trust me; all of them are working hard. Very hard. So why are they seeking my guidance? It’s simple - their vision is all but a vision. Sometimes, we work and work and we›re obliviously going around in circles; not reaching a destination. We concentrate on the bulk and lose focus of the little details so crucial to success. However, it is the successful businessman that will grasp the impact of every little detail along the road to success. Because success is about every little detail that was done right. I’ll quote the age-old words of a wise man: “To live through an impossible situation, you don’t need the reflexes of a Grand Prix driver, the muscles of a Hercules, the mind of an Einstein. You simply need to know what to do.
