Youth in focus The Swarnajayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana (SGSY) under the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt of India, aims to provide employment-linked, market-oriented training to youngsters in the age group of 18 – 35 years from below poverty line families across the country. The scheme is instrumental in providing livelihood skills to the youth and mainstreaming opportunities in the sunrise sectors of the economy. Under the SGSY Special Projects, the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt of India has granted four projects to DB Tech which will give a new life to thousands of youngsters across the country.

DB Tech – Skilling India DB Tech is the network of 125 Don Bosco skill training centres spread across 25 states of India making it the largest NGO engaged in livelihood training in the country. All these centres provide employment-linked, market-driven vocational courses of short duration to the economically and socially marginalised youth. With an unmatched skill development infrastructure and a rich heritage of over a century-long work in underprivileged youth training and development, DB Tech enjoys an unrivalled reach across rural India comprising of 6,38,000 villages harbouring 72.2 per cent of the population.
