Rising Star Vignesh Kumar “Being a cycle mechanic, my father, Mr. Kanagarathinam repairs cycle in his roadside small cycle mart. Due to financial constraints, he could not afford my education after intermediate. My mother, Ms. Lakshmi is a homemaker. She always inspires me about my career and education. After the examination, I was sitting idle at home searching for a right course that leads to an employment. Then I started working with my father in his mart as an additional hand by sealing the punctured tubes. The days have passed quickly. Mentally I was prepared to inherit the profession for the rest of my life. I came to know about DB Tech through my mother. One of those days when she visited her native place in Singaranellar to attend a family function, she saw a poster of Bosco Academy for Skills and Employment (BASE) highlighting three months placement assisted training programme at one of the DB Tech centres located in Madurai. Convinced enough, my mother decided to enrol me in the vocational training program. We visited the centre together to collect gather details related to vocational training. The information provided by the trainers certainly helped me choose Retail and Sales course. I chose this domain for the reason that Retail sector is the fastest growing sector these days. At the training, I got the chance to learn a lot about Retail and Sales. I collected so much of knowledge about the trade. We were taught various traits related to the field and how important it is for the salesperson to satisfy and convince customers. Today, after completing my three months training, I am working as a Salesperson in Reliance Super Market at a monthly salary of Rs. 6500. My family is happy with the job I am doing. I am satisfied with my monthly salary with which I am supporting my family. I used to give my entire salary to my father for additional financial support. I will always be thankful to my trainers of DB Tech, who has made my future bright. At the end, I would like to mention that DB Tech gives chance to the poor and deprived youngsters, who do not have any other options in life. Thanks to DB Tech who is giving safe, secure and blissful life to the younger generation of our country.” Vignesh Kumar
