As June rolls around and the summer heats up at Deering Bay, I wanted to introduce myself and thank you all for the wonderful welcome I have experienced here at DBYCC. I am grateful to be able to join a great team of staff and take in the all aspects of what makes Deering Bay a very special place.

As the final event of the summer rolls around in the Memorial Day Celebration, we look forward to seeing everyone on the tee and celebrate the holiday by taking part in to the Flag Tournament; remember, the farthest flag wins! Junior Clinics are starting shortly during the summer and we are looking forward to hosting all the players and diving into new games and activities for the juniors. Whether as an introduction to the game, or to enhance their skills, it is sure to be a great time. As the summer days warm up, I have come to find that the South Florida breeze helps alleviate the harsh humidity. While the heat may ramp up, the daylight allows for a nice summer round late in the afternoon to sharpen your game! Coming from North Carolina, I have enjoyed South Florida weather thus far, and have seen my share of Deering Bay’s many crocodiles. I look forward to seeing many of you around the clubhouse this summer and wish you all safe travels if you may be headed out of Miami. Thank you to all that I have met thus far, and I look forward to meeting several more of you down the road!
