DRAWING MARATHON COURSE ID: FA0185 Instructor: DCAD Faculty ONE SESSION Saturday, Jan. 17; 9 AM – 9 PM Non-Credit Tuition: $30 in advance, $35 day of event Since 2008, the Delaware College of Art and Design has welcomed the community to our Drawing Marathon, created to develop your artistic vision, sharpen your skills, and energize your studio experience through figure drawing. DCAD’s event is inspired by the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting & Sculpture which founded the Drawing Marathon over 20 years ago with the belief that drawing is the basis of understanding of one’s experience of the world. Today, drawing marathons are a worldwide trend, spanning the U.S. and globe. We again welcome you to become one of the over 500 participants who have joined us in over 100 hours of drawing. For this special event, DCAD’s Toni & Stuart B. Young Gallery in DCAD’s historic landmark building will be transformed into a 5,000-square-foot studio where from 9 AM to 9 PM you will work alongside DCAD’s faculty, staff, students and artists of all experience levels.

Come for one hour or stay for all 12! DCAD faculty will be on hand to provide critiques, if desired, during breaks. Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own drawing or painting supplies. Please note that seating is limited for this very special event. Advance registration is strongly recommended. All participants will be invited to exhibit their work in the summer 2015 Continuing Education Exhibition. Call 302.622.8867 x.110 to register.
