La existencia de una ciudad depende de la memoria
Al nombrar el proyecto en chino en honor al “Brocado de Nanjing”, un artículo tradicional famoso por sus colores parecidos a nubes y patrones intrincados, China Overseas Land & Investment rinde homenaje al patrimonio de una ciudad, el lugar donde se encuentran las mejores telas del país. se produce: la “Quinta Fábrica de Algodón”.
El molino ha sido parte de la cultura china durante generaciones y es el principal ejemplo de cómo el espacio puede convertirse en una memoria simbólica. Tal es la conexión entre el molino, la ciudad y la sociedad, un diálogo entre arquitectura, espacio y personas.
El espacio se siente como si el diseñador hubiera dispuesto un transportador dentro de una caja de vidrio para generar formas fluidas y esculturas dinámicas que se asemejan a las formas sinuosas del brocado de Nanjing o a las extensas dunas de arena que transforman el tiempo en patrones musicales orgánicos.
En el arte, el pasado y el presente se superponen mientras lo viejo y lo nuevo establecen un diálogo único.
El diseñador toma elementos de la naturaleza y la memoria y los tuerce en hilos que tejen un brocado arquitectónico, utilizando curvas flexibles para proporcionar tensión artística al entorno circundante, combinando recuerdos con espacio físico.
Los recuerdos se materializan ante nuestros ojos como tejidos con finos hilos de seda. Innumerables hilos voladores se condensan día y noche en una escultura alada, un enhebrador que se mueve rápidamente entre cintas gigantes en el espacio.
Una escultura de cincuenta y dos metros de largo y nueve de ancho se eleva hacia el cielo y se extiende por todo el espacio interior de la propiedad. La inspiración para la pieza proviene del brocado chino, que gira y danza, entrelazados y dispersos al mismo tiempo, delineando la forma de un bucle infinito, apuntando hacia el futuro.
“Destacamos las características culturales de la industria algodonera en China, utilizando el espacio como vehículo que conecta el pasado con el futuro, a través de un impulso dinámico que perfila la belleza de la vida en flor con elementos únicos del pasado y formidables vistas del futuro. ”.– dijo el diseñador.
El diseñador adoptó un lenguaje artístico único para definir Brilliant Prospect –el nombre del proyecto en inglés. Este enfoque creativo define un hito distintivo, compuesto de elementos artísticos y culturales.
Y así, curvas sinuosas crecen alrededor del espacio, entretejiendo segmentos de tiempo en grupos particulares, orquestando múltiples ideas en una sola. Como una ópera épica, sus magníficas formas fascinan a la gente con un encanto distintivo.
Libera tu imaginación, abre tu mente a una perspectiva brillante
Complementando la escultura principal, una escalera artística se convierte en la entrada simbólica a un túnel del tiempo que distribuye elementos imaginativos por encima y por debajo del suelo. En el centro de dos escultóricas escaleras curvas se encuentra una instalación llamada “Time Shuttle”.
El diseñador establece la principal zona funcional de la propiedad en un patio hundido donde áreas espejadas vastas como el cielo y los lagos proporcionan una gran profundidad de campo, separando todo el interior de la propiedad de las complejidades del mundo exterior. La zona del salón frente a la barra de libros interpreta la convergencia del tiempo con formas geométricas.
El “tiempo” es la esencia detrás de Brilliant Prospect
Todo el espacio está dotado de un carácter sagrado y de
tranquilidad similar al de una iglesia. Cultiva una vida de elegancia con poesía, vino, flores y té; reuniendo la esencia de la vida a través de elementos como el ritmo, la suavidad y un ambiente confortable para disfrutar de la compañía de viejos y nuevos amigos.
La casa club es una extensión del hogar, un tipo único de compañerismo que refina e integra aún más los círculos sociales. Una vez más, el “huso” se convierte en el principal símbolo artístico del espacio. Esta vez, la forma cuelga del techo, concentrando la luz proveniente de un “océano de conocimiento” circundante.
Así, el diseñador transforma el espacio en una placa de Petri de curiosidad y creatividad, despertando recuerdos y dándoles forma. El espacio se siente como una “danza congelada en el tiempo” a punto de comenzar de nuevo, provocando una melodía impresionante que transforma los objetos en seres vivos y significativos.
El diseñador espera crear una “coreografía” artística entre tiempos reales e imaginarios, brindando a los invitados infinitas posibilidades del futuro, en un banquete, reunión o fiesta en los tiempos modernos.

The Existence of a City Depends on Memory
By naming the project in Chinese after the “Nanjing Brocade” –a traditional article famous for its cloud-like colors and intricate patterns, China Overseas Land & Investment pays homage to the heritage of a city, the place where the best fabrics in the country are produced: the “Fifth Cotton Mill”.
The mill has been a part of Chinese culture for generations, it is the prime example of how space can become a symbolic memory. Such is the connection between the mill, the city and society, a dialogue between architecture, space and people.
The space feels as if the designer had arranged a carrier inside a glass box to generate fluid forms and dynamic sculptures resembling the sinuous shapes of the Nanjing brocade or extensive sand dunes that transform time into organic musical patterns.
In Art, Past and Present Overlap while the Old and the New Establish a Unique Dialogue.
The designer takes elements from nature and memory and twists them into threads that weave an architectural brocade, using flexible curves to provide artistic tension to the surrounding environment, combining memories with physical space.
Memories materialize before our eyes as if weaved with fine silk threads. Countless flying yarns condense day and night into a winged sculpture, a threader moving swiftly between giant ribbons in space.
A fifty-two-meter-long and nine-meter-wide sculpture rises toward the sky and extends through the whole interior space of the property. Inspiration for the piece comes from Chinese brocade, revolving and dancing around, both intertwined and scattered at the same time, outlining the shape of an infinite loop, aiming toward the future.
“We highlight the cultural features of the cotton industry in China, using space as the carrier that connects the past with the future, through a dynamic momentum that outlines the beauty of life in bloom with unique elements from the past and formidable sights of the future”. – said the designer.
“Time” is the Essence behind Brilliant Prospect
The designer adopted a unique artistic language to define Brilliant Prospect –the project’s name in English. Such creative approach defines a distinctive landmark, composed of artistic and cultural elements.
And thus, sinuous curves grow around the space, weaving segments of time into particular groups, orchestrating multiple ideas into one. Like an epic opera, its magnificent forms fascinate people with a distinctive charm.
Unlock your Imagination, Open your Mind to a Brilliant Prospect
Complementing the main sculpture, an artistic staircase becomes the symbolic entrance to a time tunnel that distributes imaginative elements above and below ground. At the center of two sculptural curved stairs lies an installation called the “Time Shuttle”.
The designer sets the main functional zone of the property in a sunken courtyard where mirrored areas vast as the skies and lakes provide a deep depth of field, separating everything inside the property from the complexities of the external world. The salon area opposite to the book bar interprets the convergence of time with geometric shapes.
The whole space is bestowed with church-like sacredness and tranquility. It cultivates a life of elegance with poetry, wine, flowers and tea; gathering the essence of life through elements such as rhythm, softness and comfortable surroundings to enjoy the company of old and new friends.
The clubhouse is an extension of the household, a unique kind of companionship that further refines and integrates social circles. Once again, the “spindle” becomes the main artistic symbol of the space. This time, the shape hangs down from the ceiling, concentrating the light coming from a surrounding “ocean of knowledge”.
Thus, the designer transforms space into a petri dish of curiosity and creativity, awaking memories and shaping them. The space feels like a “dance frozen in time” about to begin again, prompting a breathtaking melody that transforms objects into lively and meaningful beings.
The designer hopes to create an artistic “choreography” between real and imaginary times, providing guests with endless possibilities from the future, in a banquet, meeting or party in modern times.

Vibraciones del mar Egeo en Fort Lauderdale
En la última obra maestra frente a la playa de Perla Lichi Design, Perla integra principios modernos sofisticados con divertidos motivos Hamza. La vista del comedor de la ciudad en expansión y el vasto cielo azul, la pared de inspiración geométrica y la excelente integración de los LED evocan un ambiente chic y elegante, derramando un brillo glorioso desde el piso de mármol blanco pulido. Intrincadas esculturas de figuras adornan la escena y expresan la sensibilidad vanguardista del arte elevado.
Al ingresar a la sala, los visitantes se encuentran con ventanales de piso a techo que bañan el espacio de luz natural, resaltando los pisos de porcelanato blanco pulido que brillan como una perla. Los lujosos sofás color crema y las relajantes sillas azul real están estratégicamente ubicados para invitar a la conversación y la relajación. Los diversos tonos azules del tema de los ojos de Hamza están salpicados por todo el espacio habitable, manifestados en los patrones fluidos que simbolizan las olas del Atlántico que se pueden ver desde el balcón. Una alfombra llamativa, diseñada a medida por Perla Lichi, es un caleidoscopio de azules y grises explosivos. La impresión es la de un océano salvaje e indómito, pero al mismo tiempo relajante y sereno como la espuma del mar flotando a lo largo de la costa de Florida. Sobre la zona de asientos hay un amplio techo reflectante de varios niveles con un elegante halo LED que irradia y envuelve a los huéspedes como un abrazo amoroso.
La cocina se integra perfectamente con la sala de estar, creando una sensación de flujo abierto. Aquí, los tonos azules son más sobrios con un tono más brillante y aireado. La hermosa y monolítica encimera de losa de mármol azul no solo es una audaz y majestuosa firma de Perla Lichi, sino también una superficie práctica y resistente. Aegean Sea vibes in Fort Lauderdale
In Perla Lichi Design’s latest oceanfront masterwork, Perla integrates modern sophistifuture principles with playful Hamza motifs. The dining room’s view of the sprawling city and vast azure sky geometric-inspired feature wall and fine LED integration evoke a chic and elegant mood, showering glorious radiance from the polished white marble floor. Intricate figure sculptures adorn the scene, expressing the avant-garde sensibilities of high art.
Entering the living room, visitors are met with floor-to-ceiling windows bathing the space in natural light, highlighting the polished white porcelain floors that gleam like a pearl. Plush creme couches and calming royal blue chairs are strategically placed to invite conversation and relaxation. The magnificent and monolithic blue marble slab countertop is not just a bold and stately Perla Lichi signature, but also a practical and sturdy surface. Its sophisticated majestic perfection just might inspire the next step in human evolution, and it is back lit, making it the sparkling jewel of the apartment. The cool blues dissipate moving into the master bedroom and shifting to a softer muted warm gray hue. The kingsized bed itself is platform style, upholstered in a plush misty gray fabric, creating a cloud-like impression. The striking headboard undoubtedly draws all eyes of any visitor and depicts an abstraction of a cresting wave, mirroring the coastal view only a few steps away from the balcony.

Tobermory es una pequeña ciudad situada en el norte de la península de Bruce en Ontario, Canadá, conocida por su gran belleza natural. Tuve la oportunidad de vistar este destino turístico popular en primavera y aunque no era el mejor clima, me pude ahorrar multitudes y tomando tours a precio justo. Yo recomendaría visitarlo durante los meses de verano, para poder ir a el Parque Nacional Marino Fathom Five, famoso por sus aguas transparents ideales para el buceo y el snorkel, así como por sus numerosos naufragios y formaciones geológicas submarinas.
Otra atracción que es imperdible es el Grotto, una cueva costera, situada en el Parque Nacional de la Península de Bruce, donde puedes acceder mediante una corta caminata. La isla Flowerpot, parte del mismo parque marino, es conocida por sus formaciones rocosas únicas en forma de macetas gigantes, a las que se llega mediante excursiones en barco, existen dos opciones de transporte en la bahía central de la comunidad.
Pude observar que Tobermory ofrece una variedad de actividades como el senderismo, paseos en barco que te permiten ver desde otra perspectiva las hermosas vistas, así como cabañas donde puedes disfrutar con familia, pareja y amigos. La comunidad tiene una rica historia, incluyendo su legado como puerto de pesca y su desarrollo como destino turístico, ofreciendo una variedad de alojamientos que van desde campamentos hasta hoteles y cabañas, así como varios restaurantes de cocina local.
Algo que me pareció muy atractivo es que Tobermory está comprometido con la conservación del medio ambiente, con esfuerzos comunitarios y de parques nacionales dedicados a proteger su belleza natural y biodiversidad. Tobermory, aunque es poco conocido mundialmente, es un destino perfecto para los amantes de la naturaleza y las actividades al aire libre, ofreciendo una mezcla de aventuras acuáticas y terrestres en un entorno amigable y receptor.

Tobermory is a small town located in the north of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario, Canada, known for its great natural beauty. I had the opportunity to visit this popular tourist destination in spring and although it was not the best weather, I was able to avoid crowds and take tours at a fair price. I would recommend visiting during the summer months, to be able to go to the Fathom Five National Marine Park, famous for its clear waters ideal for diving and snorkeling, as well as its numerous shipwrecks and underwater geological formations.
Another attraction that is not to be missed is the Grotto, a coastal cave, located in the Bruce Peninsula National Park, which you can access via a short hike. Flowerpot Island, part of the same marine park, is known for its unique rock formations in the shape of giant flowerpots, which are reached by boat excursions, there are two transportation options in the community’s central bay.
I was able to see that Tobermory offers a variety of activities such as hiking, boat trips that allow you to see the beautiful views from another perspective, as well as cabins where you can enjoy with family, partner and friends. The community has a rich history, including its legacy as a fishing port and its development as a tourist destination, offering a variety of accommodations ranging from campsites to hotels and cabins, as well as several restaurants serving local cuisine. Something that I found very attractive is that Tobermory is committed to environmental conservation, with community and national park efforts dedicated to protecting its natural beauty and biodiversity. Tobermory, although little known worldwide, is a perfect destination for lovers of nature and outdoor activities, offering a mix of water and land adventures in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Un encuentro con tiburones

Hace unas semanas fuimos convocados, varios amigos, por Alfredo Chedraui, para realizar una expedición de buceo a la isla de Nassau, en las Bahamas, con el objetivo de bucear con los tiburones que habitan en esas aguas, en su mayoría son de la especie conocida como gris de arrecife
Así fue como a finales del mes de mayo del 2024 , nos encontramos 9 amigos ajustándonos nuestros equipos de buceo para realizar nuestra primera inmersión en los mares de Bahamas que se llevó a cabo en un barco, que por su tamaño, me imagino que fuera un carguero. En cubierta estaba todavía su gran guinche, un tanque, me imagino para aceite, en su interior una escalera, en su casco colgaban esponjas de tubo y gorgonias. Las gruesas cuerdas que sostiene el ancla nos sirvió para hacer unas fotografías.
El siguiente buceo lo realizamos en un arrecife muy bonito en donde su mayor atractivo fue un pequeño tiburón gata que apenes escucho las burbujas se acerco muy amistoso a recibir las caricias que Alex le brindo. En este mismo lugar vimos a nuestros primeros tiburones
Al día siguiente nos llevaron a un sitio en donde atraen a los tiburones con algo de carnada, todos nos sumergimos felices y los escualos asistieron puntuales a la cita. Eran varios y no tenían ningún temor de nosotros, atraídos por la comida, nos pasaban muy cerca y por todos lados. Fue muy bonita experiencia.
El siguiente buceo también se realizo en otro naufragio este presentaba mayor deterioro, pero lo disfrutamos. Aunque el buceo en barcos hundidos es muy interesante, nosotros queríamos más adrenalina. Yo no se como fue que Alex convenció a los guías de que nos llevaran a bucear con los tiburones en la noche.
Con cierto nerviosismo rompimos el espejo del agua y nos sumergimos a una profundidad de 15 metros, solo iluminado por nuestras linternas. En cuanto llego el guía cubierto por una malla de acero, empezó el espectáculo. Lo tiburones aparecían de la nada levantando arena del fondo con su po-
tente cola y haciendo que nuestra visión no fuera tan clara, a pesar de eso detalle fue un buceo increíble y de mucho aprendizaje, pues comprobamos que de día o de noche los tiburones no están en los mares para atarnos como se a creído durante tantos años.
Después de esta experiencia renuevo mi compromiso de tratar de salvarlos utilizando todos mis medios posibles.

Afew weeks ago, several of us friends were invited by Alfredo Chedraui to carry out a diving expedition to the island of Nassau, in the Bahamas, with the aim of diving with the sharks that live in those waters, most of them are of the species known as reef gray
This is how at the end of May 2024, we were 9 friends adjusting our diving equipment to make our first dive in the seas of the Bahamas, which took place in a boat, which due to its size, I imagine was a freighter. On deck was still her big winch, a tank, I imagine for oil, inside a ladder, tube sponges and gorgonians hung on her hull. The thick ropes that hold the anchor helped us take some photographs.
The next dive we did in a very beautiful reef where its biggest attraction was a small cat shark that as soon as it heard the bubbles came very friendly to receive the caresses that Alex gave it. In this same place we saw our first sharks
The next day they took us to a place where they attract sharks with some bait, we all dived happily and the sharks attended the appointment on time. There were several of them and they were not afraid of us, attracted by the food, they passed us very close and everywhere. It was a very nice experience.
The next dive was also carried out in another wreck, this one showing greater deterioration, but we enjoyed it. Although diving in sunken ships is very interesting, we wanted more adrenaline. I don’t know how Alex convinced the guides to take us diving with the sharks at night.
With some nervousness we broke the water mirror and dived to a depth of 15 meters, only illuminated by our flashlights.
As soon as the guide arrived covered by a steel mesh, the show began. The sharks appeared out of nowhere, raising sand from the bottom with their powerful tail and making
our vision not so clear, despite that detail it was an incredible dive and a lot of learning, as we found that day or night the sharks are not in the seas to bind us as has been believed for so many years.
After this experience I renew my commitment to try to save them using all my possible means.

¿Sabías que “LACOSTE“ nació por la broma de un tenista?
Jean René Lacoste era un tenista apodado „el cocodrilo“. Tenía un aspecto débil para ser un atleta, debido a su delgado cuerpo y baja estatura. Sus saltos y movimientos bruscos, pero certeros, le dieron la popularidad para lanzar su marca de ropa: „Lacoste“. Aquí tienes la historia:
René era hijo de una adinerada familia francesa. Sus padres no estaban seguros de que llegara a ser un tenista profesional por sus condiciones físicas, pero decidieron apoyarlo con la condición de convertirse en campeón del mundo.
Logró los primeros puestos en varios torneos de Europa; incluso la medalla de bronce en los juegos olímpicos de 1924. En un campeonato en Estados Unidos en 1927, observó un accesorio que lo maravilló completamente: un maletín de piel de cocodrilo. Su compañero ofreció regalárselo si ganaba el partido, pero lamentablemente perdió el encuentro y se bromeó con la anécdota.
Un periodista de Boston escuchó la historia y decidió llamar a René como „Le Crocodile“, debido a su agresiva forma de jugar y el encanto por aquel maletín.
En aquella época, los jugadores de tenis usaban un atuendo „elegante“. Se jugaba con camisa, chaleco y pantalón de vestir. Hay que señalar que ese deporte era practicado por la alta sociedad. René mandó a diseñar polos de algodón con cuello camisa, y en el bolsillo del pecho, la imagen de un cocodrilo verde con la boca abierta para reemplazar su anticuado uniforme.
En 1933, lanzó su marca de polos: „Lacoste“ para deportistas de tenis, golf y vela. El nombre de la marca le hacía honor a su apellido; y el pequeño cocodrilo verde, es símbolo de su historia, pasión por el tenis y tal vez, por aquella broma sobre el maletín que nunca llegó a conseguir.

Jean René Lacoste was a tennis player nicknamed “the crocodile.” He looked weak for an athlete, due to his thin body and short stature. His jumps and abrupt but accurate movements gave him the popularity to launch his clothing brand: “Lacoste.” Here is the story:
René was the son of a wealthy French family. His parents were not sure that he would become a professional tennis player due to his physical condition, but they decided to support him with the condition of becoming world champion.
He achieved first places in several European tournaments; even the bronze medal at the 1924 Olympic Games. At a championship in the United States in 1927, he saw an accessory that completely amazed him: a crocodile skin briefcase. His teammate offered to give it to him if he won the match, but unfortunately he lost the match and the anecdote was joked about.
A journalist from Boston heard the story and decided to call René “Le Crocodile”, due to his aggressive way of playing and the charm of that briefcase.
At that time, tennis players wore “elegant” attire. It was played with a shirt, vest and dress pants. It should be noted that this sport was practiced by high society. René had cotton polo shirts designed with shirt collars, and on the breast pocket, the image of a green crocodile with its mouth open to replace his outdated uniform.
In 1933, he launched his brand of polo shirts: “Lacoste” for tennis, golf and sailing athletes. The name of the brand honored his last name; and the little green crocodile is a symbol of his history, passion for tennis and perhaps, for that joke about the briefcase that he never got.
