Dubai chocolate

A Swiss From Dubai
Haveyou tried Dubai chocolate yet? Now you won’t have to go to Dubai to try it out. A Swiss manufacturer, Lindt, has launched it on the market with a limited production run of 500 packs. Visually, Lindt Dubai chocolate bars have an attractive design. Each tablet is hand-packed in a high-quality box.
Dubai’s first chocolate was created in 2021 by Sarah Hamouda of FIX Dessert Chocolatier and went viral thanks to influencers Kiki Aweimer of Kikis Kitchen and Maria Vehera on TikTok. Now the Lindt Maîtres Chocolatiers adopt this trendy recipe and proudly present their Lindt Dubai chocolate, which invites you on a journey into the luxurious world of Dubai chocolate.
In fact, it was initially only on sale in Dubai ($20 for the 200-gram version). The video posted on TikTok (from December 2023 to October 2024) has accumulated more than 60 million views and pistachio chocolate has triumphed on social networks, to the point that many users have tried to replicate it. The chocolate bar has become famous for its filling based on pistachio cream and kadayif (or in other variations with vanilla, caramel, nuts and cookies).
The Swiss chocolatiers, as we have already mentioned, were not surprised and launched their “Lindt Dubai” in Switzerland. The sales of this special chocolate have caused a real stir. People would literally queue for hours to get it and then try to resell it on eBay at prices of up to $350. The same thing happened a few days ago when Lindt chocolate was introduced in Germany, a group that is not the only manufacturer of this item either. In Hamburg, many people spent the night in the cold to be able to access among the first in the store when it opened in the morning. In online marketplaces the product was sold on Amazon for 400 euros. At this point it is human to wonder what the ingredients will be to achieve such demand.
Exquisite ingredients, skilfully combined by hand, give Dubai chocolate bars a unique taste and transform every bite into a taste sensation. It’s the consistency that makes it special: the milk chocolate, which melts in your mouth, envelops an incomparable filling with a particularly high flavor of very fine pistachio flesh (24%), crunchy kadayif and velvety tahini.
Kadayif are thin strands of dough, also known as angel hair, which have a long tradition in Levantine or Arabic confectionery and give the crunchy texture to this popular type of chocolate. Tahini is a paste made from roasted and finely ground sesame seeds. It originates from Arabic cuisine and is used in sweet and savory dishes to give them a particularly creamy texture.
For our latitudes, considering that while there is life there is hope, my advice would be to go on TikTok and discover the recipe, possibly adding some Mexican ingredient and then call it “chococun”..... . .
