This guidance has been produced to support County Durham Primary Schools with delivering on their Primary Premium.
Who We Are County Durham Sport is one of a network of County Sports Partnerships operating across England. We work together with local, regional and national organisations to raise the profile of sport and physical activity within County Durham and co-ordinate sports development and physical activity opportunities within the county.
Introduction This guide has been produced to enable primary schools to make the most of the support available from National Governing Bodies (NGB’s). The document pulls together, in one place, a range of NGB offers to support primary schools to better understand the products, programmes and resources that are available and can be delivered locally. Original guidance on the Primary School PE & Primary Offer was developed nationally by the County Sports Partnership Network (CSPN) and County Durham Sport has used this information and tailored it to fit local need. Each NGB within this guide has been consulted to ensure the products are suitable, appropriate and available in County Durham and each NGB has confirmed the exit routes into local clubs and programmes. Each page is dedicated to an individual NGB and identifies the following: • • • • • •
The most appropriate local NGB contact for schools Description of the product Useful links to describe the product in more detail Product breakdown Support available from the NGB Links to local clubs
