Description: Tipiralacil, also known as TPI, is a thymidine phosphorylase inhibitor (TPI). Tipiracil is one of the active components in TAS-102, which is an anticancer drug candidate currently in clinical trials.TAS-102 is an antitumor agent composed of a combination of trifluorothymidine (FTD), a nucleoside that incorporates into DNA and inhibits a variety of genetic functions required for the proliferation of cancer cells, and tipiracil hydrochloride (TPI), an inhibitor of thymidine phosphorylase (which degrades FTD) that maintains an effective blood concentration of FTD. Tipiracil protects trifluridine from being broken down when taken orally.

Store at -20°C (desiccating conditions).

Handling: Providing storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to 24 months. Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20°C. Generally, these will be useable for up to one month. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.
