Are Your Clubs Right for You? G’day, Brett Ogle here. The technologies in Golf Clubs have changed a lot from the days when I first started playing golf with persimmon woods and blade irons. Now we have Titanium drivers as big as my old wooden tennis racquet as well as oversize irons, hybrid clubs and a plethora of wedges to choose from. The question I get asked a lot by golfers is; “Brett, what clubs should I use?” The reality is no one can truly tell you what clubs you need by just looking at you. You need to be properly fitted. This is true for all golfers, regardless of your ability or how much you want to spend. Whether it’s 300 bucks or $3000 on your next set, you need to get the clubs that best suit you at the price you’re happy to pay. This is where Drummond Golf can help you. They have a world first in computerised fitting; it’s called CLUBFIT and it’s exclusive to Drummond Golf. CLUBFIT takes all the guesswork out of buying a set of clubs and ensures you get the best clubs for you at the 2

price you want to pay. Best of all it’s FREE. Selected staff at every Drummond Golf stores are CLUBFIT trained so you can have complete confidence in what they do. There are a lot of fitting programs on the market, but most of them are based on one brand. The beauty of CLUBFIT is it allows you to choose from all the great brands that Drummond Golf stock. The information stored in CLUBFIT is supplied by the manufacturer. This guarantees that you receive the best available option(s) based on the manufacturers’ designs and the parameters of their “custom-build” programs. Not all golfers are made equal and don’t I know that. We all come in different shapes, sizes and abilities. That’s why all good manufacturers have a variety of styles of clubs to choose from. Not only do you need the right length, lie angle, grip size, shaft kick point, shaft flex and shaft weight, but also the style of head to best suit your game. Organise the configuration of your set to

suit your strengths; if you’re a better wood player, carry more woods or hybrid clubs; if your short game needs improving, consider carrying more wedges. And again this is where CLUBFIT and your friendly Drummond Golf staff member can help you to make the right decisions to get the best out of your game. Remember this, the most important thing when buying clubs is not the clubs, it’s YOU. At Drummond Golf with CLUBFIT, they’ll lift your game. Good golfing and hope to see you at our next Drummond Club golf day. Brett Ogle

story

The Story of PING For the better part of 50 years John Solheim, C.E.O. of PING, worked alongside his father Karsten designing and manufacturing golf equipment that has revolutionised the game. It could be argued that the technological revolution in golf has stemmed from Karsten & John’s ability to challenge the thought process of what was (and some say still is) a very conservative industry. Since Karstens death in 2000 John has carried on Karsten Solheims legacy, and with the structure John has put in place at PING that legacy will continue for some time yet. PING has come a long way since its 1950’s inception in Karsten Solheims garage. The very first prototypes were literally made from alloys melted down on the Karsten kitchen stove. Given that Karsten still worked full time as a wholesale buyer for a sports retail chain and John was in high school, every evening was devoted to their passion for designing putters. In those days Karsten would work on the designs and John did the production. Whilst they might not have realised at the time, they were turning a very close father son relationship into a formidable business team. John recalls the many visits to their garage by leading tour players such as Johnny Miller and Gary Player, such was the reputation of Karsten to not only design but also to custom fit players to putters and irons. Given the inconsistency of some iron sets in those days, Karsten would quickly identify the ideal specs of the player by asking them which was their favourite club and essentially replicate the specifications of that club throughout the entire set by ensuring the lies and lofts of the set correlated to the favourite club. It was not uncommon for a player to win their very next tournament! The first PING putter patent was filed in 1959, however the true defining moment for PING and probably the golf industry as a whole came in 1966. This was the year that Karsten finalised the design for arguably his greatest putter, the only challenge remaining was to name it. Karsten felt this putter was the answer to golfers’ putting woes and it was his wife Louise who suggested that perhaps it be called the “Answer”. The name “Answer” would be too long to fit on the putter, thus the “Anser” putter was born. Through all this time, John Solheim was absorbing the knowledge and skills that enabled him to succeed his father as President of the company in 1995. Whilst design and production were the cornerstones of PING’s existence, John also recalls how his father inadvertently taught him to be a business man; “My dad found out that I’d applied for a job, all of a sudden, he wasn’t too happy. That’s when I started getting paid. But my deal was I got $2.50 a putter that I built, but if I needed help, I had to pay for the help. So it kind of taught me how to be a businessman back then, right from scratch because I had to figure out my own thing.” Whilst John reflects on the amazing journey of the past half a century, a recent near death experience has certainly helped to

Pictured from left to right: Mark Abeyaratne (Managing Director Drummond Golf), Jamie Cooke (Product Director Drummond Golf), John Solheim (President & C.E.O. of Ping International), Brad Glass (Ping Australian National Sales Manager) and Paul Roser (Managing Director Ping Australia).

shape his outlook on the future. In mid 2003 after 22 years of enduring an ailing kidney, John underwent a kidney transplant donated by his sister in law, Marion Prince. That said, this was no “garden variety” transplant as John explains; “I still have my own kidneys. They’re both ticking away. They put a new entry into my bladder that doesn’t affect my existing kidneys. I get the function of my two kidneys in addition to the new one. I probably have more function than my donor now” After the transplant John’s personal and business goals changed a little. He knew he had to structure the company in a way that it survive and remain family owned and operated in the event that he couldn’t continue. Today John’s brother is Executive Vice President whilst his other brother Karsten Louis serves on the Board of Directors. His sons John K. and Andy are both involved in the management of the company. With such a strong family involvement in the running of the business, a commitment to looking after it’s people and a continued passion for designing and producing state of the art golf equipment, it appears that PING is well equipped to continue it’s role as one of the premier brands in golf for many years to come.

Out of left field, may well be the call for John Whitford. After growing up in Melbourne and spending more than 30 successful years of Retailing and Management in Automotive Parts & Accessories, John and his wife Raelene made the decision to move to Hervey Bay, or Paradise as they call it, in 2006 to open their Drummond Golf Store. John is a passionate golfer, who admits to being ‘never too old to learn’. With the help of his Assistant Manager, AA Rated PGA Professional Colin Baynton, John’s game has rapidly improved, with his handicap down to 24.6. To date, John’s biggest achievement was chipping in from 50m out for an eagle on the 10th at Eatonvale Golf Club and finishing with nett 60. With wife Raelene, John tries to get onto the course weekly and likes to play as many different courses in their region as possible, but they call Hervey Bay Golf and Country Club home. Away from golf, John’s other interests include avidly following Essendon in the AFL and being involved with his three fantastic children and beautiful grandchildren. So why not call in at Hervey Bay and experience the Drummond Golf way. John, Raelene & Colin are more than happy to help you lift your game.

destination feature

Our first destination feature on South Australia takes us to the Fleurieu Peninsula this issue, one of South Australia’s most exciting leisure destinations. Our inaugural SA Drummond Club event was held at the Fleurieu Golf Club in May this year, and we took the opportunity to also spend some time exploring the region’s attractions and discovered a truly unique destination.

and ocean, the course offers golfers smooth and subtle bent greens, long undulating fairways and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The Par 3 on the 17th hole is a magnificent hole, with the coastline in the distance, tufted grass in the rough and ample bunkers – you know you are on one of the truly great links courses.

Located just 1 hour south from Adelaide, The Fleurieu Peninsula is the perfect destination for both day trips, a longer weekend getaway or family holiday where you can relax, unwind and enjoy the peaceful pace of the Peninsula Lifestyle.

Located on the West Coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula at Yankalilla Bay, Links Lady Bay is just 1 hour’s drive south of Adelaide and you will enjoy stunning coastal scenery as you wind your way along the coastal route to Lady Bay. The region’s magnificent white, sandy beaches, boutique wineries, tranquil coastal towns, array of water sports and horse riding are just some of the other activities available in the region.

The region has a fascinating history dating back to 1802, when both the English Explorer Matthew Flinders and French Explorer Nicholas Baudin were circumnavigating Australia and met near the mouth of the Murray River. The French Explorer Nicholas Baudin, aboard the ship “Le Geographe”, named the region after his sponsor, French Navy Minister, Charles de Fleurieu. Adelaide was founded in 1836 and the region’s renowned food and wine industry was later borne. Today, the region has developed a reputation as one of SA’s premier wine-growing regions and is home to several championship golf courses, including the Links Lady Bay Golf Course at Yankalilla Bay on the West Coast – currently rated as the No 3 Golf Course in South Australia (No 1 public access course) and within the Top 50 Golf Courses in Australia. Planning a group golf trip to the Fleurieu Peninsula can combine not only great golf courses, but an array of other leisure activities including wine-touring, gourmet food trials, pristine beaches, catch a ferry to Kangaroo Island, see the beauty of the Coorong National Park, or explore the history and quaint coastal townships of Port Elliot, Goolwa and Victor Harbor. The Fleurieu Peninsula is the ideal touring destination where you can enjoy all of the above, and now regarded as one of South Australia’s best golfing destinations.

LINKS LADY BAY GRAND MERCURE As South Australia’s No 1 public access course, the Links Lady Bay golf course lives up to its name. Here you can also take a daily ferry service over to Kangaroo Island to explore the tranquil, natural beauty of this idyllic Island. Established in 1911 this “classic” golf course is regarded as one of the best country courses in South Australia and one of the best private clubs on the Fleurieu Peninsula. It issues a challenge for both the beginner and experienced player. The first tee is spectacular, regarded by many as the “Best first tee” in Australia and without doubt the Club’s signature hole. While only 5962 metres in length (Par 72), the course is well laid out, with lush fairways and true greens. Fairways are tightly lined with native gums and bushland vegetation hosting a proliferation of wildlife. Kangaroos, blue wrens, and kookaburras complete a great golfing experience. It is also regarded as the home of “Ambrose” in Australia after the late Dick and Mary Ambrose introduced the game while playing with local members. In 1968 the first club event of Ambrose in Australia was played at Victor Harbor. The South Australian Ambrose Championships are now played every year in March at the course. Placed adjacent to the first tee the clubhouse provides spectacular views of Encounter Bay and surrounding country side, and an ideal place to sit and enjoy a quiet meal and drink. For wine buffs the club is located close to arguably some of the best wine regions in Australia, The McLaren Vale and Fleurieu wine districts. FLEURIEU GOLF CLUB The Fleurieu Golf Club is located in the heart of South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula in the township of Mt Compass and is just a short 45 minute drive from Adelaide’s CBD. Opened in 1996 and designed by Neil Crafter, this 18-hole golf course (Par 72 – 6116 metres) is modelled on the traditional links-style courses of Scotland and Ireland and offers a challenge to golfers of all grades. The course is set amongst a natural bushland setting with gentle undulating terrain and surrounded by wetlands and the region’s indigenous flora and fauna. The course design features include large greens, numerous water hazards and 89 bunkers to test your skills.

Other facilities include fully licensed club house and bistro (open for lunch and dinner) with picturesque views overlooking the golf course and surrounding bushland setting. There is also a 10 bay driving range available on-site. The Fleurieu Golf Club is also ideally positioned between the McLaren Vale wine regions in the North and the townships of Victor Harbor and Port Elliot to the South. The Southern Fleurieu Peninsula wine region is also easily accessible and boasts an array of boutique wineries all within a short drive of the golf course. With its close proximity to Adelaide also, the Fleurieu Golf Club is ideal for day trips or an inclusion in your next golfing adventure to the Fleurieu Peninsula. Drummond Club Member Offer: *Save $10 off standard green fee rates. Offer extended to Member and 3 guests (max 4 players per group booking)

SOUTH LAKES GOLF CLUB The South Lakes Golf Course comprises 18 holes of lush fairways and greens. The design of the course provides golfers of all ages, with differing skill levels, the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf without the use of motorised transport. The relatively flat terrain makes the course a pleasant walk while listening to the waves crashing on the beach in the background. The course is not long but still provides a challenge to the low handicappers as accuracy is the priority, particularly approach shots to the greens. For the avid golfer, South Lakes is a mere 20 minutes drive from the Victor Harbor Golf Club and McCracken Country Club – ideal for those who wish to stay on the South Coast and play the fine golf courses in the area. South Lakes Golf Club is located in the historic river port of Goolwa – a popular gateway to the Coorong National Park and the lakes system at the mouth of the mighty Murray River. The township’s historic past dates back to the 1850’s when it was a bustling sea port. Today, Goolwa is a busy regional centre with an array of restaurants, cafes, galleries, micro-brewery and many other attractions to enjoy on your next visit. McLaren Vale Wine Region – McLaren Vale is recognised as one of South Australia’s premier winegrowing regions, and is the “Gateway” to the Fleurieu Peninsula, just 37kms south from Adelaide’s CBD.

destination is made easy, by visiting the McLaren Vale & Fleurieu Visitor Centre - located in the heart of McLaren Vale and at the gateway of your next golfing adventure to the Fleurieu Peninsula.

McLaren Vale’s heritage is linked to such well known names as John Reynell and Thomas Hardy who are synonymous within the Australian Wine Industry. Grapes were first planted in the region in 1838 and today the region produces some of Australia’s best premium wines. This region enjoys a Mediterranean-style climate with four distinct seasons, and is best known for producing outstanding Shiraz, as well as other popular varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Grenache, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling.

Parri Estate

Parri Estate is unique within this region with a vineyard operation and cellar door in both McLaren Vale and Mt Compass on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The contrasting wine styles from the 2 regions have produced an interesting range of quality wines.

There are more than 60 cellar doors in McLaren Vale, which include many small-medium sized boutique wineries mostly family-run operations which are distinctive of the region’s style. You will also find such well-known established brands here such as Wirra Wirra Vineyards, Tatachilla, Rosemount and Hardy’s Tintara. The Southern end of the Fleurieu Peninsula also offers a diverse range of wineries and wine styles with distinctly different characteristics to the McClaren Vale region. Touring around the Peninsula, you can visit an array of boutique cellar doors in the townships of Mt Compass, Langhorne Creek, Currency Creek and Goolwa. The region is also renowned for its diversity of fresh local produce. There is an abundance of local restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy sampling the local wines and food and tour the many gourmet food trials throughout the region. Planning your tour to this exciting

Parri Estate recently won both the Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism awards in the ‘Wine tourism’ category as well as the McLaren Vale tourism awards in the same category. A family owned premium wine producer, Parri Estate last year opened a modern new wine tasting and administration centre on its original vineyards south of Mt Compass. The innovatively designed and attractive new building showcases spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and is located just off the Victor Harbor Road opposite the Alexandrina Cheese Factory. A strong focus is placed on wine-tourism and families at the site as well as wine tasting, quality merchandise and regional produce. For visitors wishing to combine a day’s golf – The Fleurieu Golf Club is located only 5 mins from this cellar door. Drummond Club Member Offer: Save 15% off retail on all wines at cellar door including McLaren Vale and Mt Compass cellar doors.

Gateway to the Fleurieu Peninsula Wirra Wirra is an aboriginal name meaning “amongst the gumtrees”. It was established by Robert Strangways Wigley, a former state cricketer and well known eccentric. Following his death in 1924 the vineyards were sold by his family and the cellars fell into disuse. It remained that way until 1969 when the site was bought from Vern Sparrow, son of Wigley’s foreman Jack Sparrow, by cousins Greg and Roger Trott. Assisted by Roger and armed with a few old photos and sketches, Greg re-built the derelict Wirra Wirra winery from two remaining walls and some slate fermenting tanks, transforming it into the handsome winery it is today. Trott did this all in his own inimitable style – always passionate, always iconoclastic, always fun and always unique. Trott lived by a simple philosophy; “Never give misery an even break, nor bad wine a second sip. You must be serious about quality, dedicated to your task in life, especially winemaking, but this should all be fun.” Owners Alice, Peter and John Phillips originally established the 82 acre vineyard at Mt Compass in 1998 and in 2001 purchased a smaller property on Ingoldby Road, McLaren Vale where a cellar door has also been established. Parri Estate produces a range of premium wines including Sparkling Pinot/Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier/Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Pinot Noir from both the warm climate and cool climate vineyards. The McLaren Vale cellar door is open daily from 11–5 and the Mt Compass cellar door is open on weekends from 10.30 to 4.30 or midweek by appointment. Groups and buses by appointment are welcome.

Wirra Wirra Vineyards

Wirra Wirra is situated 37 km south of Adelaide in South Australia’s famous McLaren Vale wine region. It is an historic site, which was originally built in 1894 and which by 1903 was producing a substantial quantity of wine that was primarily exported to the rest of the British Empire.

After a long illness, Trott passed away in 2005, but his spirit and sense of purpose is alive and well at Wirra Wirra. The winery has built a reputation for its classic McLaren Vale reds and elegant Adelaide Hills whites and has been described by James Halliday as “the best small to medium producer in McLaren Vale and up there among the nation’s finest.” Visitors to the historic ironstone cellars at Wirra Wirra will get a touch of Greg Trott’s philosophy which is built around the celebration of life: great food, stimulating conversation, marvelous music, and of course a fine bottle of wine. From the massive post and rail fence, known as “Woodhenge”, to the giant Angelus bell that sits atop the winery, Wirra Wirra has discoveries that have helped make it a must-visit destination in the McLaren Vale wine region.

*MOI – Moment of Inertia – In golf marketing terms this is the head design property that has a bearing on the amount of ‘forgiveness’ a club-head offers for off-centre strikes. The larger the club head and the more weight dispersed to the perimeters of the head, the higher the MOI of the club-head. The higher the MOI the less the head will twist in response to an off-centre hit and less distance will be lost from that off-centre hit.

Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club, NSW Situated on the NSW Central Coast right along the edge of the Pacific Ocean this eighteen hole traditional “links” style championship course designed by renowned architect Ross Watson, was recently voted ‘Best Resort Course in NSW’; ‘Best New Course in Australia’ and ‘No. 6 Resort Course in Australia’, Golf Australia Magazine 2007. The layout and design of this course reminds you of the many great courses of Britain and Ireland. It consists of two loops each of nine holes. The front nine starts off to have you heading south overlooking the Pacific Ocean and on the other side Tuggerah Lake. The first nine holes are beach holes with magnificent ocean views with the 9th green only meters away from the main clubhouse by electric cart. The back nine have you heading north along rainforest and national parks, finishing with a challenging and interesting eighteenth (Par 5) that brings you home to a magnificent clubhouse. No lines of trees, streams or lakes here; the fairways are wide and open to the winds blowing in off the Tasman Sea, with natural swales and bounded by rough, bushland and around 70 bunkers. The course has a good practice facility, consisting of putting greens, a warm-up driving range and chipping green with bunkers.

Pilates for Golf The Foundations of Good Movement Patterns How to Build them for a Great Golf Swing How often have you had a golf lesson where the coach has taken you back to the basic stance, set up, alignment, and grip. They are the foundations of a good golf swing; Jack Nicklaus in an article once spoke of how at the start of each season he would spend time going over the fundamentals of his set up and refining it.

by David Grech, Pilates Instructor, Golf Pilates Trainer Dip H Sc. Medical Massage

the hips as you engage your abdominals. It is also one of the most basic actions of the spine yet for many people it is quite difficult to do. After about 8 to 10 repetitions stand up and address the ball and ask yourself does it feel any different? Can I feel my abdominals tightening slighty? How does my lower back feel now?

A good golf swing comes from efficient and repeatable movement patterns. These patterns are easily learnt but need practice and repetition to become engrained. Pilates focuses on training efficient movement from a strong foundation or core. In Gary Players book Gary Player On Fitness and Success (1979), he speaks about his lower back injury in the late 70’s and an exercise he used to manage it called the pelvic tilt. The pelvic tilt also called the pelvic rock and is one of the fundamental exercises of Pilates. I use the pelvic tilt with all my clients when they first start Pilates. It is a key component to strong efficient and repetitive movement patterns, one of the best for developing basic core strength, improving spinal flexibility and taking a great deal of pressure off golfers lower backs. So what is the pelvic tilt? If you look at a picture of the spine side on you will see that it is not straight rather it is S shaped. These curves enable the spine to withstand the stresses imposed on it when we move and rotate in different directions. The pelvic tilt gently mobilises these curves whilst activating and strengthening the core muscles (pelvic floor or abdominals) To start with lie on your back with your knees bent and feet hip width apart, arms relaxed gently by your side: • Inhale slowly feeling your lungs expand. • Exhale & draw your abdominals in, imagine they are narrowing from the front and both sides. To help, you can place your hands around your waist. As you breathe out, feel your waist drawing in away from your hands. Do this a few times just to get a feeling of the abdominals contracting slightly. Then imagine your pelvis is a clock, 12 would be near your navel and 6 your groin: • Exhale slowly and gently tilt the imaginary clock towards the 12. • Inhale. • On your next exhale tilt the pelvis towards the 6. • As you breath continue slowly rolling/tilting your pelvis from the 12 to 6 and back. There no should be no pain and if it is stiff or uncomfortable work in a range that is pain free and comfortable for you. As you do the pelvic tilt towards 12, you will feel your lower back gently flatten, as you tilt towards 6 it will gently arch. The amount is not important provided it is comfortable and pain free. This arching and flattening of the spine helps to loosen your lower back and mobilise 24

The pelvic tilt is very subtle and does not require extreme exertion to do. It is gentle in its action and should be performed pain free. However don’t underestimate the effectiveness of Pilates because of the subtleties of the work. In our next article we will discuss a case study where the Pilates has not only helped a client recover from a chronic lower back that would become aggravated roughly every 4-6 weeks but has helped This style of Pilates for Golf him lower his handicap from 14 Training is unique and we to 8. He now plays 2 to 3 times a week at least. If you have any questions feel free to contact David on 0417 554 294 or email him at tmassageaust@yahoo.com Sessions are available at The Melbourne Golf Injury Clinic or at The Golf Club St Andrews Beach.

Greenside Bunker Recovery For many the bunker shot represents the most feared and possibly the most misunderstood shot in golf. Cries of oh no don’t go into the bunker ring out all over golf courses across the country each day. The truth is that most elite golfers would actually prefer this rather than the alternative of the ball finding the greenside rough. The reason for this is that generally speaking you will be presented with a relatively good lie. By following a few simple fundamentals your bunker play will become more consistent and who knows you may even start to enjoy the challenge of the sand game.

Priorities During Bunker Play The following will provide a reliable execution out of the bunker every shot. 1. Begin by shuffling your feet into the sand to create a comfortable and supportive base for your swing. 2. Take an open stance to the target and open the clubface to match. Ball position is to be slightly forward of centre. 3. Relax your grip pressure, soft hands promote and enable the wrists to hinge and re-hinge. Develop a backswing similar to a pitching action. 4. Learn to splash the sand out of the bunker, strike the sand approximately 3-5 cm behind the ball. 5. Maintain an open clubface throughout impact & accelerate through the ball.

Tamar Ridge Tamar Valley, Tasmania Vineyards were first established in Tasmania during colonial settlement. Only in relatively recent years, however, has viticulture emerged in the beautiful Tamar Valley to forge a reputation for varietal and sparkling wines of the highest quality. In less than a decade Tamar Ridge Wines has established its own acclaimed success story as part of Tasmania’s modern wine industry. The first vines were planted at Tamar Ridge in 1994, and the first vintage was released five years later in 1999. The company continues to grow strongly and is today a leading producer of Tasmanian cool climate table wines with sales in every Australian state and a growing list of export markets. Great wines are made in the vineyard and it is the exceptional fruit grown at the Kayena Vineyard that forms the cornerstone of the Tamar Ridge and Devil’s Corner range of wines. Located on the western banks of the Tamar River, 40 kilometres north of Launceston, the Kayena Vineyard is planted to a range of cool climate varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. 7 days, 10am -5pm 653 Auburn Road, Kayena, TAS 7270 TEL: 03 6394 1111 www.tamarridge.com.au CELLAR DOOR: ADDRESS:

Lovely soft, full cherry and plum fruit flavours filling the front of the palate. There is a good mid-palate fruit weight and soft, silky tannins flowing through to the finish and giving the wine length and persistence.

CELLARING AND SERVING SUGGESTIONS :

CELLARING AND SERVING SUGGESTIONS :

This is a very attractive, easy drinking style of Pinot Noir with ripe primary fruit flavours and soft, supple tannins. It is enjoyable now and will develop and improve with cellaring of from 2 to 4 years. Pinot Noir is a versatile food wine. The classic combination is Pinot Noir with duck, but it can team equally well with rabbit, lamb as well as fish such as Atlantic Salmon or Ocean Trout

This wine has been sealed under a srewcap. This seal provides the best possible protection for the wine and ensures slow, controlled maturation free of taint. The fruit and acid balance in this wine will allow it to age gracefully for many years building intensity and complexity.
