THE THIRD PLACE EUGENE, OREGON

The city of Eugene is a vibrant place with a thriving arts community with one exception. Access to performing arts for children and teens is lacking and when available is quite expensive and inaccessible. This performing arts center located in the heart of downtown provides a third place between school and home as an opportunity for kids and teens to explore the arts after school. With a flexible performance space, Kesey square transforms into a venue for the community to inhabit in nice weather.

MAP CHOCOLATE SPRINGFIELD, OREGON Located in the growing downtown district of Springfield, the Map Chocolate storefront brings an educational and interactive experience for customers wanting to learn more about the chocolate making process. Inspired by the Starry Night chocolate bar, this project creates a moody atmosphere that elevates the experience of the shopper.

ASH BENCH FURNITURE DESIGN

RORVIG CANDLESTICKS

Inspired by a set of 1970s Danish candlesticks, this bench was designed and manufactured with Ash wood. The proportions of the candlesticks were maintained in the design of the bench and fenestrations create a rhythm similar to that of the inspiration piece. The grain of the wood enhances the linear design emphasis and accentuates the natural beauty of the wood.

SENIOR HOUSING STUTTGART, GERMANY

Located at the historic Weisenhoff Estate in Stuttgart, Germany, this senior housing complex provides several apartment configurations as well as many communal venues. A series of interlocking colored class boxes on the roof of the building separate the program areas creating a variety of spaces for residents to enjoy. Views of the city below are capitalized upon while maintaining the spirit of the historic building.
