When starting to look for a Purebred outcross from Leverage, Black Impact, Granite, Carolina Fortune we came across this Canadian opportunity. We wanted someone to add power, function, eye appeal, and found it in Alberta, Canada from the same farm that raised Freedom 178F. Velocity’s best-known son, SLC Viper 7E, sold in the 2018 National Sale for $66,000 while another son, SLC Longmire 188F, brought $20,000 for half interest. This will only be the second time this opportunity is available in the United States (here and the 2020 National Sale). If you are looking for pounds, style, and a true outcross in a purebred bull then here is your opportunity. Selling one semen package of 20 straws.

Bandit is one of the most complete bulls we have offered from our program. His pedigree combines eye appeal with performance, maternal and a balanced EPD profile. Check out his individual performance: 74 pound birth and 870 adjusted weaning. That kind of spread is difficult to achieve! His dam flat knows how to turn in the scale crushers. You’ll want to keep all his daughters for your herd’s expansion. Note that Bandit is a 17-month-old bull who is ready for service.

PCFS Brace for Impact is bull we are having a hard time letting go of. A BW of 73. He is built to work, solid from top to bottom, big stout legs and feet, sound and smooth. He was a Division Winner at the 2019 North American. He is the type of bull that will work in a commercial herd looking for pounds or a show cattle operation. We can’t say enough about his docility, if you wanted to continue his show career, your youngest showman could tote this guy around. Also take a look at his stacked pedigree on both sides. This young bull is sure to add value to any operation. Just named 2020 Reserve Grand Champion Gelbvieh bull at the Dixie National!

This guy has been a standout since birth and has actually been the favorite out of the 2018 fall calf crop! 844 is the type of cattle we have worked long and hard to produce and the type we strive for with each mating at Green Hills: Cattle that have the structural correctness to last without sacrificing the actual performance and do ability needed to be profitable to producers; all while keeping them with an attractive phenotype that makes it fun to go out in the fields and look at your cattle. This guy is awesome structured, huge footed, big middle, tons of power from behind and man I don’t think you can make one with this kind of performance any better looking. Sired by the Shear Force herd sire who also sired the dam of the Man O War bull who was the $57,500 high seller in the Boys of the South bull sale and NWSS champion and out of a picture-perfect Krugerrand sired dam who weaned him at a scale busting 882 lbs and hit the 365-day mark at 1324 with just an 82 lb start up. I don’t know about you but that sounds like true performance to me no matter what the paper says. Don’t miss out on this one we truly think this guy has a ton to offer any operation and will leave a lasting impact for years to come just as his sire is doing for us. Retaining ½ semen interest.

3G Ghost Town 913G (1449448) is the ultimate culmination of pedigree, performance and presence. Sired by Baldridge 38 Special, a son of one of the most legendary and prolific angus cows in the industry, Baldridge Isabel Y69, gives him a top of the charts performance and carcass EPD profile. Ghost Town ranks in the top 3% for WW & YW and the top 3%, 30% & 15% respectively for CW, REA, & MARB. Couple this with convenience traits of a negative BW, double digit CED and the fact he is Homo polled and slick haired and this one has unlimited realworld production potential. As a bonus he has the phenotype to be named the Grand Champion Balancer Bull at the 2019 NAILE and Reserve Grand Balancer Bull at the 2019 American Royal.

Mr. Blue Moon 1G is a young bull that is homozygous polled and has a lot to go for him. He was born unassisted out of a first calf heifer. Then had an outstanding 820 pound 205 weaning weight. He has the EPDs to possibly be a heifer acceptable bull. He is a deep bodied clean fronted bull that still has a youthful look. He moves around the pasture with ease and is easy for the eye to look at.

Gabby will meet all the criteria. Sired by PMFG Challenger, KY State Fair Grand Champion and NAILE Division Champion, she is typical of his outstanding progeny; thick made, broody, structurally correct and good fronted. She sells halter broke and ready for the summer-aged classes this show season. Juniors, you’ll want her in your string, this summer. Don’t miss her sale day.

Here is just a May heifer who we think has a world of potential. This girl came off the cow a little skinnier than we had hoped and wasn’t ready for our online sale, so we elected to hold her back and give her a little more time and boy are we glad we did! She has flat turn it on and once she turned the corner she sure hasn’t looked back. This Trump x Kali female is one that is not only royally bred but one we think has all the right parts to be a big contender come next summer and into the fall. So good built, bold centered and extra sound and flexible on the move with the attractive, square build that we are coming to expect from the Trump calves. Add that with the winning ability that the Kali cow family has proven time and time again to have and I think it’s pretty clear this girl is bound for big things both in the show ring and after in production.

Here is a very competitive, Late Spring Red Show Heifer prospect that has lots of future as an outstanding cow prospect, just like Pleasant Meadows strives to make them. She is a Maverick daughter and out of Carrie’s famous (now 15-year-old) many times show champion heifer and great producing momma cow- “RILEY”! Her sire remains one of the most used, positively impacting sires of the Gelbvieh breed. Unfortunately, bad weather kept her picture from the catalog deadline. Trust me, she will not disappoint you, when you see her. Gracie is a true brood cow prospect with a sound structure, soggy made, well-muscled, moderate frame and feminine look. She’s halter broke and super gentle, just like her dam. Here’s your golden opportunity to place a great one in your herd. She sells open and ready to compete in the AGJA Eastern Regional Show this year in Kentucky. Mark her “Impressive”!

WAM Taylor 902G is the kind of heifer that is had to let go of. She represents the kind of cattle we are striving for. She is big middled and stout while still having the femininity and look that catches your eye. Taylor is an outcross to much of the popular Gelbvieh and Balancer genetics which offer a lot of interesting mating options. We defiantly feel this heifer is destined to be a donor some day and we look forward to seeing what her future holds.

Want one of their best purebred spring 2019 heifers to competitively show and later become a nice female to your herd? Look no further; PMFG Ginger 976G ET fits the bill. She’s a Red ET full sister to the 2013 Reserve Grand Champion NAILE female, “Eye Candy”. Ginger sells halter broke and ready to compete. Unfortunately, weather didn’t allow for a picture before the catalog deadline. Be assured you won’t be disappointed when you see her. She’s correct, structurally sound, stands on a big foot, soft-made, and feminine. She sells open and ready for your show barn or front pastures. She can also show at the AGJA Eastern Regional Show hosted by KY G A this summer. Mark her as “WOW!”

Here is one that I think flat screams donor cow prospect and one that we are probably nuts for letting go of! If there was ever a no miss mating and a close to sure bet female to leave our place this girl is it! A Homo Black Homo Polled Purebred out of Blues Impact and Austin’s Jenna donor cow who not only was a Bred and Owned champion at Jr Nationals herself but has produced most all of Austin’s bred and owned cattle through the years. This girl is exactly what we looked forward to when we bred Jenna to Blue’s Impact super powerful, extremely low maintenance/ easy keeping, massive in her center body yet still super sound and comes with an attractive brood cow look. No matter if you are in the market for a purebred show heifer or your next donor this girl will fit the bill because I can promise you once she hits production and the donor pen she is sure to become a highlight in any program. AIed on 1/20/20 to JRI Secret Link 214D98 (AMGV1351066) then pasture exposed to GHGF Zeus 61Z (AMGV1233394) from 2/4/20 to 3/4/20.

Here’s the culmination of what the cattle business is all about! This is your opportunity to buy an outstanding BA75% first calf heifer by Lifeline out of a double-bred Maverick son, Sampson with a new balancer show heifer prospect at her side by PVF Insight. Nobody could write a better script to be in the seedstock business than this lot has to offer. Fredonia has been shown successful by the Tilghman’s grandson from the National Junior Heifer Show to the KY State Fair and both the NAILE Junior Show and Open Show and was Pleasant Meadows 2019 NAILE Futurity entry. Weather kept us from getting her picture for the catalog, so they allowed us to use her NAILE 2019 picture. The only things missing are to see her perfect teat and udder and that outstanding PVF Insight heifer calf at her side. Super gentle, super correct, super feminine, and just flat super good! Nuff said! Pedigree perfect and balanced EPD’s, and super performance make her a great breeding piece. Heifer calf (tattoo # 025H) is sired by the great Angus sire: PVF Insight. Cow rebreeding information announced sale day. Mark this pair as: “Super nice, must own!” A – Homo black heifer, BD: 1/4/2020, BW: 62 lbs, Sire: PVF Insight (AMAN16805884), Tattoo: PMCJ 025H

This ¾ Blue’s Impact is easily one of my personal favorites out of the fall heifer group this year and has been since the get go. 866F is exactly the kind of female we have come to expect from Blue’s Impact and it’s her kind that you can really never go wrong with because you can always count on them to do their part of paying the bills. Moderate, extremely sound, easy keeping, super maternal in their build and come with the added power and body it takes to be the front pasture kind. Add that with the fact that she charts 8 traits in the top 35% or higher for the breed and comes from a no miss cow family that has been around since Walter and Lee started in the breed well over 30 years ago and I think it’s safe to say the guess works done for you on this girl. Boys did we dig deep in the replacement pen on this girl. One of the top fall heifers all year long and one you can’t help but like. 132F is a homo black homo polled 75% female who not only offers a great phenotype but backs it up with a tremendous set of EPDs and a pedigree that’s second to none. Ryan F. Quarles Commissioner
Kentucky Department of Agriculture Dear friends, Welcome to the 34th Annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo! Through the ups and downs of the beef cattle market, the Beef Expo has held steady, averaging a million dollars in annual sales over the last five years. We hope this year’s event will be no different. At the Beef Expo, cattlemen show and sell some of the best cattle in the country to buyers looking to upgrade their herd genetics or take home a show project. The leading beef cattle state east of the Mississippi River, Kentucky, truly is the place to be for the beef industry on the first weekend in March. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) is hard at work to help cattle producers succeed. The KDA seeks new domestic and foreign markets for Kentucky Proud agricultural products, and last year I named a longtime leader in Kentucky agriculture, Tim Hughes, to head up our trade efforts. The Office of the State Veterinarian works with our partners at USDA, Kentucky’s two veterinary diagnostic laboratories, and private veterinary practice to protect Kentucky livestock and poultry from foreign animal diseases and eradicate disease outbreaks when they occur. While you’re in Louisville, we hope you’ll take the time to enjoy Kentucky Proud foods in some of the dozens of restaurants in Louisville’s nationally acclaimed local food scene. Again, welcome, and best wishes on an enjoyable and successful Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo. If I or any of my staff can be of service to you, please don’t hesitate to ask. Sincerely,
Ryan F. Quarles

For the last 34 years, the Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Beef Expo has served as a premiere showcase of some of the best beef cattle In the region, and this year will be no exception. Whether you are buying, selling, showing or spectating, the expo is the place to be to see just how strong the cattle industry is in this state, and why Kentucky has become one of the top beef cattle producing states in the country, and certainly the largest east of the Mississippi. We are very proud of that fact and are fortunate to be in a place where our producers take such great pride in being a part of one of the top sectors of our entire agricultural industry. Over the years we have seen Kentucky’s cattle industry, as a whole, grow in numbers and quality which not only benefits our cattle operations, but other ag sectors in our state, as well. The cattle industry here represents 12 percent of the state’s overall farm cash receipts of $5.9 billion. With these kinds of numbers, it shows how important Kentucky’s cattle farms are to the efforts of keeping our rural communities sustainable, and a vital component of the Commonwealth’s economic development endeavors. We hope you enjoy your time at this year’s KFB Beef Expo, and we look forward to many more years as a top beef cattle marketing event in this state and the surrounding region. Sincerely,
Mark Henry President “Voice of Kentucky Agriculture”
