ALS MR S & S REBEL YELL 16J

Mr S & S Rebel Yell 16J has been a standout since birth. If a picture is worth a thousand words then I won’t have to say a lot more. He’s everything we look for in a breed improving herd sire. Strong performance and EPD profile backed by a solid cow family. 16J nursed a 2-year-old Sam daughter that has a full brother on her side that’s just as impressive. His grand dam is a Dam of Merit. All in all, Mr S & S Rebel Yell 16J reflects 10 generations of our breeding that includes the dam of Maverick 70T and ultimately Ms Cajun 442J (one of our first Gelbvieh purchases in 1982). There’s a good chance he will be heifer acceptable. His impressive EPD profile places him in the top 30% for growth and carcass traits, top 2% for milk, top 10% or better for reproductive traits, stayability, docility, scrotal and $Cow Index. Genomic EPDs will be available by sale day. We are retaining 50% semen interest for in herd use. If you’re looking for a sure thing, study this one close. He’s as good as the picture.

Mr. Slaughter and I had a couple of deals a few years ago that my grandfather would have referred to as a “round turn and a tangle.” One of the products of those deals was some embryos out of Ms S&S Highlight 64X ET. If you need to add some growth to your cow herd with a high percentage Gelbvieh bull, this could be your ticket.

Mr. S & S Lifeline 6J is the ultimate combination of pedigree and performance. He is the son of EGL lifeline B101 the most use bull in the breed three years running. This gentleman has been built like a herd-sire and wanted to be a pet since he was a few weeks old. His dam is a moderate unassuming Godfather cow that produces a good calf every year. He is homo-black and homopolled and has a well-balanced EPD profile with WW and YW EPDs in the top 2% and 4% of the breed.
