Dear Cattlemen, We would like to extend a big thank you to our past customers for your support of our program and invite you to our 2019 Private Treaty Sale at the ranch. Bulls and heifers are for sale at any time with a special open house at the ranch, starting at noon on February 23rd. 2018 was both a challenging and exciting year. Extremes in weather challenged everyone from winter weather extending into late spring calving to a cold and wet weaning. We have had an exciting year with both Bailey and Cheyenne getting married last fall. Calves are raised on grass and motherâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s milk only, without creep feed. Starting at weaning the bulls are fed Harvest States Bull Challenger along with free choice hay. We target a moderate 3.5 pounds average daily gain to ensure good structural development and longevity. The bulls that have been polled and coat tested are noted within the catalog. A select number of 2-year-old bulls are also available and cataloged for those wanting bulls that can cover more cows. All registered replacement heifers are listed in this catalog. In addition, there are a number of commercial heifers also for sale. The heifers have been fed chopped hay with corn mixed in for a very modest gain. We believe in sending replacement heifers out to pasture ready to grow and breed easily in the spring. We strive for problem free calving, excellent disposition and performance in our cattle. A good disposition and excellent udders are a must and you will find both throughout our entire herd. Our cows have to be moderate framed & good footed in order to travel across pastures, as they are not pampered. Our cows are proving to be productive and have ve good longevity as we are seeing up to six generations all still producing in our herd. We were honored to be the home of 35 Dam of Distinction & Dam of Merit cows. All of these cows were born & raised here at GBG. We were also listed in the top 20 Dam of Merit and Dams of Distinction Owners and Breeders in the AGA for these elite cows in 2018. Raising cattle is our livelihood and we are happy to visit with you regarding your bull and heifer needs, which bulls will work best in your program and to show you the cattle at any time.

Golden Buckle Gelbvieh is retaining a 1/3 semen interest in all bulls selling and reserves the right for in herd use of semen from any bull offered for sale. BREEDING GUARANTEE: All bulls are sold as guaranteed breeding animals. We will semen test any bulls left at our facility. If you haul your purchase home before that date, we encourage you to have a breeding soundness exam completed before turnout. Any bull failing a semen test, or shown to be a non-breeder at that time will be replaced if possible, or the buyer will receive a credit (not to exceed the purchase price of the animal), minus salvage value, towards a purchase within the next year.

FEEDING and DELIVERY: We are offering free feeding of the bulls until April 1. After that time we will charge $2.50 per head per day. Free delivery within ND will begin approximately April 1st. We will work with you on delivery if located outside of ND. INSURANCE: We will make every effort to manage any bulls left in our care in the same manner we manage our own herd bulls, however we understand that accidents do happen. All animals become the responsibility of the buyer at the time of sale. We highly recommend insuring your purchase. Please talk with us about the options available. GOLDEN BUCKLE GELBVIEH COW HERD HONOR: The American Gelbvieh Association releases Dam of Merit females and Dam of Distinction females for the Gelbvieh breed on an annual basis. Less than 5% of active Gelbvieh cows qualify for Dam of Merit and only 1% of active cows qualify for Dam of Distinction. In 2018, GBG had 35 of our eligible cows combined that qualified for Dam of Merit and Dam of Distinction. We were also listed in the top 20 Dam of Merit and Dam of Distinction Owners and Breeders in the AGA for these elite cows in 2018.
