AGJA Seeks All-Around Award Sponsor
The American Gelbvieh Junior Association (AGJA) continues to serve more than 350 members annually throughout the U.S. Of those members, on average, more than one third will attend the annual AGJA Junior Classic held each summer.
We, the elected board of directors of the AGJA, strive to uphold the vision and mission of the AGJA in all that we do: Vision: To unify, educate and develop leaders of the beef industry. Mission: By instilling a sense of responsibility, dedication, pride, and professionalism, we develop and enhance the leadership and education of our members, stressing the importance of ethical practices in marketing a sound philosophy for the future of the beef industry.
Each year AGJA members from across the country gather for a week of friendship, growth and competition both in and out of the ring. Participants are encouraged to engage in any of the twelve contests held, in addition to showing cattle, at the Junior Classic.
For the past eight years, Eagle Pass Ranch of Highmore, South Dakota, has provided a heifer to the winner of the All-Around Contest at each summer’s Junior Classic. The AGJA cannot thank Eagle Pass Ranch enough for their contribution over the years and continued support of this program. We wish them the best of luck! However, due to their recent Gelbvieh and Balancer® dispersal they have elected to give another operation the opportunity to support the AGJA in a similar fashion.
With that, we are excited to announce the opportunity for a new name to grace the AGJA program. By donating a heifer, an operation will have the opportunity to showcase their genetics by providing future winners of the AGJA All-Around Exhibitor with a heifer. Following the AGJA Online Fundraiser, held March 25-28, 2021, the names of those interested in serving as the All-Around Exhibitor sponsor will be added to a list and a name will be randomly selected. The AGJA will open up this sponsorship opportunity each year to allow new families to contribute. To keep the opportunity fair to all interested individuals, we ask for those who wish to contribute in such manner to contact an acting AGJA board member, or Jake Renner, AGA youth and membership activities coordinator, with any questions you may have.
As our AGJA program continues to grow and strive for excellence in providing an inclusive atmosphere for the next generation of industry leaders, we appreciate and recognize each of our supporting members and contributors. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
AGJA Board of Directors
