We appreciate the time and effort for those of you who look over our offering in this catalog and who have invested in our genetics in the past. We truly hope the animals you have purchased in the past have lived up to your expectations. And we also truly believe the genetics are moving forward in a positive way because the bulls in this sale are some of the best we have produced in this, our 30th year, in the Gelbvieh business. Our Balancer Futurity for the National Western this year was one of the best we’ve ever raised; however it was not to be because he died two weeks before we left for Denver. If there is any good news to come from that, it’s that there are several good half-brother Yarborough sons in this year’s sale. Besides the Yarborough sons, don’t overlook the offspring by King James, BARB 114Y and our newest herdsire, Edison. Once again a supplement sheet will be available sale day with yearling weights, ultrasound data and scrotal measurements. And most importantly, we’ve had two grand babies in the last 60 days (Rhett Thomas by Cody and Samantha and Karlee Marie by Matt and Sarah). First breeding season begins at turn out and ends September 1st of the year of the purchase. Death loss is the buyerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s risk as one can purchase mortality insurance.
