With the advancement of technology and the increasing popularity of remote work, digital nomads are a growing group worldwide. They travel the world in search of their own way of working and living. However, with this comes a lonely journey - far from family and friends, unable to make deep connections with locals during their short stays, and perhaps even feeling alienated and rejected. To break this dilemma, I chose Ollolai, Sardinia, Italy, a historic yet aging city, to establish it as a new home for digital nomads and local residents, bringing new vitality to the city. It is not only a place to work and live, but also a community center that facilitates interaction between digital nomads and local residents, sharing experiences and co-creating new ideas. This shared space not only meets the needs of digital nomads for flexible working, but also provides them with opportunities to engage with different cultures and people, facilitating the collision of ideas and the birth of innovation. Whether they are travelling digital nomads or residents rooted in this land, they will find their place here - a home that is no longer lonely and full of possibilities.

Environmental impact
Digital nomads travel frequently for business and pleasure, which often means that they need to rely on disposable items on a regular basis, which generates more waste.
Commodification of culture
Housing crisis
Digital nomads exacerbate housing crisis in Mexico Lisbon and beyond.
Locals resent the "occupation" of Bali by digital nomads. Some locals see tourism in and around temples and religious ceremonies as a way of transforming what they hold dear - the subtle spiritual aspects of their culture - into experiences that can be bought and sold.
'Like a ghost town': how short-term rentals dim New Orleans’ legacy
New Orleans, almost half of all properties in the historic Tremé district— one of the oldest Black neighborhoods in the U.S.—have been converted to short-term rentals, displacing longtime.
Wearning out their welcome
Venice is a prime example of this, with large numbers of digital nomads putting a strain on the canal city's fragile infrastructure.
Ollolai, which is at risk of becoming a ghost town, has offered to sell hundreds of abandoned houses for 1 euro. The agreement with the municipality provides for a symbolic rent of €1 for five years, after which the rent will rise to €250.
Ollolai, located in the center of Sardinia, is the second largest island in the Mediterranean and of one of the five places in the world called “blue zones ” because a significant part of the population is over 100 years old.
a new program from the municipality of Ollolai that aims to bring experienced professionals to work from Ollolai rent-free. You just need to pay €1. "All the community asks for in return is that those who obtain the visa share their knowledge with the local community," the visa’s application page reads.

In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the game between rapid urban expansion and natural ecology is growing dramatically. With the development of large tracts of land, the destruction of agricultural land and vegetation, water scarcity issues, and deterioration of water quality have had far-reaching impacts on communities on the edge of the desert. Particularly to address the problem of surface flooding, we chose to combine Riyadh's rich spice culture with its natural landscape to address flooding and ecological issues. Spices are an important part of daily life in Riyadh, demonstrating the city's vibrancy and tradition. And the local natural landscape, wadi, provides inspiration for the drainage system. By utilising these local resources, a sustainable urban landscape is created. The overall design is a three-step process of site selection, intervention and promotion to save the desert borders and complete the revitalisation of the desert city. This innovative ecological intervention not only mitigates the effects of natural disasters, but also injects new life and culture into the desert city, moving Riyadh towards a greener and more harmonious future.

As one of the most economically developed cities in China, Shanghai's fast pace and high cost of living puts many people under tremendous work pressure, leading to increasing psychological problems such as anxiety and depression. To alleviate this phenomenon, we have designed four different types of healing spaces to help people find a moment of peace and relaxation in their fast-paced lives. Each space has a unique function and atmosphere, with some focusing on meditation and relaxation, others on natural experiences and so on. Each of these spaces will be a habitat for the souls of city dwellers, allowing them to find inner peace in between their busy work and life. It's not just a physical space, it's a habitat for the soul, a place where people can find a place to belong in the midst of the hustle and bustle. We hope that this healing place can help more people to reduce stress, relieve anxiety, restore inner peace and vitality, providing a personal haven for every soul in the heart of the city.
Shanghai still has some problems even though it is one of the best cities in China in terms of economic development. The fast pace and high cost of living makes many people feel stressed.

From the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden in Genesis to the character of salvation in the Book of Revelation, the symbol of the tree is central to the Christian story. Once covered in forests, Ethiopia's original trees have nearly vanished due to deforestation for agriculture. Only small patches of virgin forest remain around the churches. In order to protect this island of biodiversity,I chose to use the local endangered hoofed rabbit as the key species of the ecological chain, establishing a symbiotic relationship between the forest church and the hoofed rabbit. The design mimics the natural habitat, incorporating rocky terrain to provide a habitat for the hare. Vegetation restoration areas and outdoor worship areas are designed around the church, inviting believers to pray and meditate together with nature, echoing the symbiotic relationship between man and nature, the soul and the earth in Christianity. This will gradually restore the balance of the local ecosystem and provide a new space for the intertwining of faith and nature, thus becoming a bridge between biodiversity conservation and religious spiritual exchange.

In Ethiopia, rapid population growth, widespread poverty, agriculture, productivity and lack of alternative sources of income mean that rural people often expand their farmland into woodland, resulting in the destruction of forests and natural vegetation in densely populated areas.

2021
During my freshman and sophomore years, I drew sketches and pen drawings in order to improve my hand-drawing skills and aesthetic quality, as well as to deepen my understanding of landscape plants.
