Directed by Fernando León de Aranoa, this film is the Spanish entry for Best International Feature Film. Let It Be Morning Eran Kolirin directs this drama, based on the Hebrew-language novel of the same name by Sayed Kashua, about Sami (Alex Bakri), a Palestinian-born Israeli citizen who is suprised to find himself unable to return home to Jerusalem following his brother’s wedding because of a military blockade. This film has been submitted as the Israeli entry for Best International Feature Film.

Drunken Birds Directed by Ivan Grbovic, this Canadian drama follows Willy (Jorge Antonio Guerrero), a Mexican drug runner who falls in love with the wife of a cartel leader who both flee out of fear. Willy believes his love fled to Montreal, so he takes a job as a seasonal worker at Ferme Vinet in Quebec. Unbeknownst to Willy, his presence creates a rift in the Vinet family which sends him down a path that leads him to be accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Tereza37 Lana Baric stars as Tereza, a 37-year-old woman who has been married for a long time and suffered through several miscarriages. When her gynecologist makes a joke that she should try to sleep with someone other than her husband to get pregnant, Tereza begins to question her marriage and relationships. Directed by Danilo Šerbedžija, this drama is Croatia’s entry for Best International Feature Film.

Luzzu Written and directed by Alex Camilleri, this drama follows Jesmark (Jesmark Scicluna), a fisherman trying to support his family. When his baby is having health problems and he needs money, he turns to the risky world of black-market fishing. Titane Winning director Julia Ducournau the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, Titane merges the world of horror and the erotic symbolism of automobiles. After a series of crimes, Alexia (Agathe Rousselle) flees and assumes the identity of a young boy who disappeared 10 years prior. Living with Vincent (Vincent Lindon), the father of the boy, becomes increasingly difficult as Alexia’s pregnancy has some strange side effects. Prayers for the Stolen/ Noche De Fuego Directed by Tatiana Huezo, this Mexican drama takes place in rural village Guerrero, which has been plagued by the drug trade and human trafficking. Three young girls approach adolescence as they deal with life in a town at war. This film was chosen as the Mexican entry for Best International Feature Film. ROWDY PICTURES
