With the passing of Amendment 1, the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Amendment, 2018 proved to be a historic year for conservation in our state. For the next 10 years, our Department of Natural Resources will have an estimated $20 million per year to maintain our WMA’s, create new hunting and fishing opportunities, and more – all without raising taxes. Georgia Wildlife Federation has worked for decades to see this kind of dedicated funding become a reality — and YOU HAVE BEEN PART OF THE TEAM. Every time you purchased a ticket to Georgia Wildlife Federation’s Buckarama or Fisharama/Turkeyrama, you supported the mission work of the Federation, including the necessary advocacy work to make sure Georgia’s abundant hunting and fishing heritage stays strong. We want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for your support through the years. How can you continue your conservation work in 2019? First, come see us at the 2019 Fisharama/Turkeyrama. It’s a fun-filled day-out for the family and a chance to hear terrific seminars from the experts, get up close and personal with some of our state’s most interesting wildlife, watch our retrievers in action, and an opportunity to fill your tackle box and turkey vest with the latest and greatest gear from our vendors. And, your ticket to the show keeps GWF mission programs strong. Second, be sure to stop by the GWF booth and sign up for the Camo Coalition. This free, online service from GWF is the best way for you to stay informed on legislation that can potentially affect your hunting and fishing opportunities. With the click of a button, your elected officials will hear from you when it matters most. Looking forward to seeing you in Perry, Mike Worley, President Georgia Wildlife Federation Georgia Wildlife Federation thanks the sponsors, processors, and all those participating in the Georgia Hunters for the Hungry program.
