Summary I was one of the location audio engineers, gathering ambient and b-roll audio, and I also was tasked with mixing the audio in post-production.

Beginning: • Upbeat music plays as the graphic is shown. • This beginning of this video will focus on the dogs and cats of the shelter. • Where they live, where they play, etc. • A shelter employee will discuss how they are a non-profit organization. • They will talk about the shelter’s goal and how outside donations are one of the ways the shelter is able to continue. Middle: • Another employee will discuss what the donations go towards and how the donations directly help their efforts. • Food, shelter, and vet expenses. • Video of dogs and cats will be placed according to the discussion. End: • Back to one of the employees. • People can donate and help out. • This will help people want to donate. • Employee gives an end statement about how people can find them online or on Facebook. • Plug their webpage at the bottom of the screen. • Picture and Audio fade out.

Title: “Dog and Kitty City� Authors: Emily Greenwood, Roy Villarreal, Deanna Skiles, Austin Atkinson, and Rudy Armendariz Genre: Promotional Video Format: Short Video TRT (anticipated): 2 minutes Short Synopsis: Dog and Kitty City is a non-profit animal rescue center in Dallas Texas. They are a no kill shelter that houses multiple dogs and cats that have been left on the streets or dropped off by their owners. The shelter runs off of public donations, so they are all gearing up for North Texas Giving Day where they will promote their shelter and receive donations. This video will help showcase our skills at teamwork, audio, and video, as well as help convey the hard work and kindness of the volunteers at Dog and Kitty City.

Music volume lowers: Employee: “Cost of veterinary care, how the donations help the shelter, why the shelter is important, etc.” Pick up music again. Music volume lowers: Employee: “End statement about how people can donate or help, and where they can find them.” Music fades out.
Mixing Notes This was an extremely fun project to produce and to mix! The most time-consuming aspect of mixing came to cleaning up the interviews and making sure the music lined up with the visual direction.
