POSI-PRESSURE HEATING SYSTEM

One of the unique design features of FireplaceX® Elite™ fireplaces is that you can use fresh air which is drawn from outside the home for both combustion and heat transfer through a unique concept called “Posi-Pressure.”

Posi-Pressure technology draws outside air into the cavity around the fireplace and heats it, then circulates it throughout the home via a quiet, remote blower. The heated air naturally “seeks out” and penetrates cold spaces, warming the entire home evenly while “sealing” cracks, leaks and other drafty spots by preventing cold air infiltration.

From start to finish this process requires focus, stamina, and an artful eye. A Cool room air is naturally pulled into the bottom of the convection chamber surrounding the firebox.

B If the convection fan is turned on, the heated air is returned to the room above the fireviewing glass.

FRONT VENT OPTION

C The CoolSmart TV Wall™ allows a TV to be safely installed above the fireplace, either flush or recessed up to 4-1/4" into the wall.

The American Lung Association discourages the use of vent-free fireplaces for health and environmental reasons. They recommend homeowners choose only sealed, direct vent gas fireplaces to preserve indoor and outdoor air quality and to prevent by-products such as carbon monoxide, soot, and nitrogen dioxide from entering your home. In direct vent installation, combustion air is drawn into a sealed firebox and flue gases are exhausted through a co-linear or co-axial intake/ exhaust pipe. Direct vent gas fireplaces also prevent excess moisture from building up in your home. All Fireplace Xtrordinair® direct vent gas fireplaces are sealed and meet the guidelines of the American Lung Association’s Health House program.

Power Exhaust Vent Kit Option

Our Power Exhaust Vent Kit allows you to install our gas fireplaces virtually anywhere in your home, by accommodating even the most difficult venting restrictions. This Power Exhaust Vent Kit allows vent runs up to 100 feet, or up to 50 feet either horizontal or vertical, with a maximum of 12 elbows! This option requires electricity to operate your fireplace. The Power Heat Duct Kit is perfect for times when you want to enjoy the beauty and ambiance of your fireplace without all the heat in the room the fireplace is located.

Each kit consists of a 130 CFM fan and gives you the ability to redirect up to 50%* of the heat from your fireplace into one or two additional rooms within 20 feet of the fireplace. Continuous Pilot or GreenSmart™ Pilot:

This switch or your GreenSmart™ remote allows you to run your stove in either Continuous Pilot mode or GreenSmart™ mode. In Continuous Pilot mode, the pilot flame stays on and is ideal during cooler temperatures when maintaining a warm flue ensures reliable operation, keeps chimney caps free of ice and snow, and reduces condensation on the glass. Tested to EPA’s Cord Wood Standard. Cord wood testing mirrors home use by burning split cord wood pieces and measuring the emissions through the entire range of a unit’s operation. Most manufacturers test to the old crib wood standard, which produces great lab results, however does not give you real world measurements on how the unit will operate in your home. Testing to cord wood produces true real world measurements that can be duplicated in your home.

Cast iron door features a raised, pinched door seal and secure locking door handle that ensures an air-tight seal around the glass, so the door will never warp or flex. The frame also protects the glass gasket from direct contact with the fire.

Lopi uses real kiln-fired, refractory firebrick in the firebox. This is the same material used to line commercial boilers and furnaces, and is twice the weight of typical brick. The brick protects the steel while increasing the internal temperature within the firebox.

The Liberty™ is a large stove made for heating large homes and living spaces. At only 2.5 grams of emissions per hour, it is one of the cleanest burning large stoves approved by the EPA. The huge firebox and fire viewing area allow you to load wood up to 24” long and fully appreciate the splendor of the fire. It also features a single control to adjust air flow, making it easy to achieve burn times up to 12 hours. This stove uses a 6” diameter flue, compared to the more expensive 8” flue required by other large wood stoves.
