5 Princely State Notes of India in 5 Different Denominations



• Let’s take a look at five Princely State Currency Notes today in five different denominations. The first one is a machine made 1 Rupee note that was issued in Azar 14, 1329, featuring a signature of Fakhr-ud-Din Ahmad and Prefix A. • The obverse side depicted the text Sarkar-e-Ali in Urdu and an image of a Hyderabad One Rupee Coin. The 1335 Hijri year is specified on the top left corner of the obverse, while the Regnal Year 8 is shown on top right corner of the reverse side.



• If you like collecting princely state rupees then you must look for these 5 Rupees notes that were issued on 1 Farwardi 1347, with the signature of Fakhr-Yar Jung and a prefix ranging from MD to MF. • The obverse side depicts the text Sarkar-e-Ali in Urdu along with a six digit serial number repeated twice on both sides. Denomination is mentioned in Marathi, Telugu, O.S. Rs. FIVE, Kannada and PAANCH RUPYE in Urdu. O.S. stands for Osmania Sicca.



• This 10 Rupees princely state currency note was issued in the year 1 Aban 1333 featuring the signature of Hyder Nawaz Jung and a prefix ranging from AL to AP. • The obverse side depicts the Urdu text Sarkar-e-Ali along with a five digit serial number repeated twice. The denomination is shown in Marathi, Telugu, O.S. Rs. TEN and Kannada. DUS RUPYE is printed in Urdu in lower two corners.



• This 100 Rupees note from Hyderabad features a signature of Sir Reginald R. Clancy and a prefix that ranged from PR to PS.The note is signed as "Moni-ul-Muham Finance". Its title and signature is overprinted. The text "Balda Hyderabad Deccan" is printed in Urdu in bottom right. • A ship named S.S. Egypt carrying a consignment of Hyderabad notes of 5, 10 and 100 Rupees from England to India sank off the French coast. These unsigned notes have a rubber stamp showing the details of the shipwreck. They are also known as 'Sea Salvage' notes.



• These beautiful 1000 Rupees Princely State Notes were issued in the year 1 Aban 1334 featuring the signature of Hyder Nawaz Jung and a prefix AA. • The denomination is shown in Marathi, Telugu, O.S.
