BEHIND THE LENS
I have graduated in 1998 as a Master in Photography; As a portrait and reportage photographer, I have travelled both through my home country and abroad, commissioned by several publishers and media houses such as Roularta, Sanoma, DPG, Bold & Pepper, Wavemakers, Lannoo and Borgerhoff & Lamberigts. My photos have appeared in various magazines and newspapers like Knack, Focus Knack, Weekend Knack, Le Vif/L’Express, Trends, Wilfried, De Morgen, De Tijd, L’Echo, Klasse, Libelle and The Sunday Times.

Today, the evidential value of a photo is close to zero. And quite some people are eagerly taking advantage of that. Because in the quest for those precious ‘fifteen minutes of fame’, a staged or manipulated image is considered nothing more than an innocent white lie.
I looked for 12 photogenic people who unabashedly put themselves into the minds of world record holders. Their stories were collected in a book.
