From the PhotoCake home-screen click on “Photo”. Collages can only be created using customer provided photos/images.

2 Select Edible Paper

Select the correct type of topping.

3 Add the First Photo

Click “Get the Photo”. Select location of photos. Crop the image, if necessary. Click “Edit the Topping”

4 Add a Photo

Click the button underneath the “Photo” label to add an additional image.

5 Edit the Collage

A. Add another image to the collage B. Remove an image from the collage C. Move image up in order (place an image on top of another one) D. Move image down in order (place image beneath another one) E. Add text.

How It Works... 1 Save a Job

On the “Print” screen click “Save Job”. Licensed images and frames can not be saved. Name the job and click the green check mark.

2 Access a Saved Job

On the home screen, click "Saved Job". Click the job you want to reprint.

3 Delete a Saved Job

On the home screen, click “Settings". Select "System Settings". Click "Delete Saved Jobs". Select job to delete and confirm by clicking "Yes".

Update Installation Instructions/Instrucciones para Actualizar el Sistema Updating your PhotoCake Print on Demand system is very simple!

Select the power button to power on your PhotoCake System. 2. Place the Update DVD into the DVD drive. Touch the DVD drive button and the tray will open, touch it again and it will close. 3. Select the “Shut Down” button on the Main Screen. 4. Once the System is completely shut down, restart it by pressing the power button. 5. Read the on-screen calibration instructions that alternate between English and Spanish. Select the language with which you would like to proceed. 6. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your System. 7. Select English or Spanish to choose a language for the remaining installation instructions. 8. Enter in the Key Code (found on the cover and on the DVD) into the key pad and select “Enter”. 9. Select “Install Upgrade”. 10. The DVD will eject from the DVD drive when complete. Remove DVD and select “Reboot”.

REMINDER: Always power the PhotoCake System off by selecting the “Shut Down” button located on the left side of the Screen. Never power the System down from the Power Strip.

To ensure a successful installation process, follow the steps as outlined below.

Choose the Artwork by scrolling and selecting the Image, selecting the alphabet tab or entering the number into the keypad.

Technical Tips

Never power the PhotoCake System down from the Power Strip. Always power the PhotoCake System off by selecting the “Shut Down” button located on left side of the Screen.

General Maintenance & Tech Tips • Clean the scanner glass and underside of the scanner lid with a mild detergent applied to a lint-free cloth once a month. DO NOT SPRAY ANY LIQUIDS DIRECTLY ONTO THE SCANNER. • After giving the system a command, wait for the system to respond before entering a new command. You can stall the system by giving it too many commands to process.

. • Be patient when browsing for images from a CD/DVD or memory card. There will be a slight delay from when you press the scroll button until you see the system respond.

Printer & Media Tips Edible Paper Seems Too Soft • Let paper sit out at room temperature for 15–20 minutes. • Then place paper in freezer for 30 seconds. Printer Will Not Print • Make sure the front door on the printer is open and the output tray is attached before sending a print job. The Power Light Flashes Orange — Error Codes When an error occurs, the alarm light flashes orange. The number of orange flashes indicates the cause of the problem. Two Orange Flashes — Out of Paper • If no paper is loaded in the auto sheet feeder, or if the paper is not loaded correctly, set the paper correctly and press the Resume button ( ) on the printer to continue printing. Three Orange Flashes — Paper Jam or Paper Feed Error • If edible paper has jammed in the printer, carefully remove the jam and press the Resume button ( ) to continue printing. Four Orange Flashes — Cartridge Inside of Printer is Out of Ink • Replace the empty tank and press the Resume button ( ) to continue printing.

Edible Paper Will Not Feed into the Printer • Look for any obstructions in the paper feed slot on the back of the printer. • Open the printer lid and clean off all of the excess ink on the rollers. • The light on the printer should be solid green before starting to print. Regular Maintenance • Perform color test on the printer upon starting the system up for the first time each day. Make sure all cartridges are functioning properly. If colors are not printing on the sheet and/or if there are broken lines within the color or black grids, perform a print head cleaning. • It is recommended that you replace your printhead, at minimum, every 6 months, depending upon usage.

Si los colores no imprimen en la hoja y/o si aparecen líneas entre los colores o líneas líneas quebradas entre las líneas cuadriculadas negras, limpie el cabezal usando la opción “Print Head Cleaning”.

• Si la hoja comestible está atascada en la impresora, cuidadosamente remueva lo que está atascado y toque el botón “Resume” ( ) pare que continúe imprimiendo.
