Solar shading is becoming recognised as part of a building’s energy saving strategy. Effective and efficient solutions meet regulatory compliance, as well as the reduction of energy bills.

Care is taken in selecting the correct woven polyester composition. The uniform weave and stable structure of the high quality fabric allows for flexibility.

The collections are ideal for safeguarding the duty of care in clinical, industrial, hospitality, institutional and commercial applications.

Easy handling and reliable hanging characteristics ensure a fully operational and high quality blind.

Key interior trends have been applied to the plain colour palette to bring style and fashion to commercial internal environments.

Presented in neutral and bright colours there is a variety of colour ways to create a focal point, co-ordinate with settings and add style to the contract environment. 5

Designed with safety standards and practicality in mind, the Unicolour® collection fulfils an essential requirement for Fire Retardancy.

To meet the demands of various contract environments we offer the flexibility of different fabric widths.

The Unicolour® polyester fire retardant fabric is sourced to with Confidence in Textiles OKEO-TEX® Standard 100 accreditation.

We ensure that the highest standards are met in terms of the duty of care for all occupants.

Roller fabric is available in 2m and 2.4m widths.

Rigorous testing on the material, ensures there are no harmful substances used in any stage of the textile process. “Confidence in Textiles” is a world renowned, independent certificate for textiles, tested against harmful substances.

Unicolour® is a chemically treated polyester fabric that is tested to ensure its fire retardancy for the life of the fabric. This type of technology and process meets the British standard for fire retardancy BS 5867 (2008 Part 2, Type B), as well as German and French standards M1 (according to NF 92-503).

Vertical fabric is available in 89mm and 127mm widths. Depending on the size of the window and the level of light control required, Unicolour® and Unicolour® ClinikaTM can create a seamless aesthetic in any window.

The test label therefore provides an important decision-making tool for purchasing textiles.

Controlling and improving the internal environment is the key function of window blinds. When correctly specified, window blinds can enhance the internal environment, reducing heat gain and glare, while adding to the overall aesthetics of the room.

Unicolour速 can meet the needs of new build or renovation projects where natural light is considered within the design and planning stages.

11

The Unicolour速 ClinikaTM collection is treated with silver ions to create a protective coating and therefore retain antimicrobial properties throughout the lifespan of the product.

A structured plain polyester weave, Unicolour速 ClinikaTM offers all the same benefits with the advantage of being ideally suited to medical environments. Unicolour速 ClinikaTM is offered in a variety of neutral colours that can provide a calming and relaxed atmosphere in a room with the peace of mind that protection is guaranteed. Silver is a chemical element and as such cannot be broken down, hence Unicolour速 ClinikaTM retaining anti-microbial properties throughout the lifespan of the product. Tested to ASTM E 2149 standard, to determine the antimicrobial activity of immobilized antimicrobial agents under dynamic contract condition.

13

In clinical environments, such as hospitals, a higher degree of standards require the utmost protection from the spread of infection.

Silver’s association with antibacterial properties has long been established. Quite simply, silver interrupts the bacteria cell’s ability to form the chemical bonds essential to its survival. These bonds produce the cell’s physical structure so when bacteria meets silver it breaks down therefore removing any harmful effects.

Silver reacts against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria, stopping the spread of bacteria including Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) ATCC 6538 and Klebsiella Pneumoniae (Respiratory condition) ATCC 4352. Many hospitals are employing silver-imbedded equipment including surgical tools, catheters, needles, stethoscopes,

furniture, door handles, blinds and even paper files. Unlike other metals with antimicrobial properties, it is not toxic to humans.
