Everything Old is New Again: Antisemitism…Ancient Hatred, New Challenges
Advertisement
More and more incidents of antisemitism are being reported every day. Assault, harassment and vandalism against Jews and Jewish property remain at near-historic levels in the U.S. Yet this plague of hatred is not new to this time of social media and post-pandemic rhetoric. This course will discuss the 2000-year-old roots of antisemitism and its distinct historical memes that have evolved throughout the centuries. We will also explore what the present and future holds for the Jews as antisemitism becomes more and more part of our modern-day society.
