It has been a crazy few months! As we are still dealing with the pandemic and safety concerns, be assured that Sisterhood and the Congregation are working together to make our events safe so everyone is comfortable attending either in-person or via Zoom. With that being said, let me update you on what is happening with Sisterhood.

The Nominating Committee, led by Robyn Rosengard, is working to put together an excellent Board of dedicated leaders for next year’s Board. We are always looking for new members who want to be more involved, and a position on the Board is a great way to do that. We would love for you to join us. Please reach out to Robyn at rgard4@gmail.com.

Our annual Sisterhood Shabbat Service will be held on Friday, February 4th. We hope that you can join us for this special service. If you cannot attend in-person, you can still watch the service through our CBS Livestream -

On Thursday, February 24th, Roberta Rosenthal Kwall, the author of Remix Judaism: Preserving Tradition in a Diverse World, will discuss this new book via Zoom.

Please join us on Sunday, February 27th to play some of the classic table games – Mah Jongg, Canasta and Bridge at the annual Jan Blum Memorial Game Event which will take place at the synagogue. Ellen Grossman, Sara Weinstein and Andy Widen are working hard on planning this event. We hope you will join us for some fun and games.

Finally, celebrate Torah Fund’s 80th Anniversary at our Torah Fund Event featuring JTS Cantorial Student, Josh Ehrlich, on Sunday, March 6th . Torah Fund is the dedicated philanthropy of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism which supports scholarships and programs in the worldwide Conservative/Masorti institutes of higher Jewish learning. Over the last 79 years, Torah Fund has raised nearly $106 million. Thank you to Matty Shechtman for arranging this event and for all of her hard work on getting us to our Torah Fund goal donation for the year.

With so many great events coming up, we hope to welcome you as we meet safely and comfortably.
