Our Commitments + Contributions Integral have provided technical support and sponsorship to the World Green Building Council’s Advancing Net Zero and Better Places for People projects. Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment Integral are founding signatories of the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment, and worked closely with WorldGBC to develop the technical criteria underpinning this program. Integral are using the WorldGBC’s 5 step plan to commit to reducing emissions across all our offices, and plan on offsetting all our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in 2020 and beyond. We disclose our performance in our annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report, and commit to creating a process which will provide a net zero pathway for every design project. Bringing Embodied Carbon Upfront Embodied carbon describes the climate change impact of construction materials and products. We were peer reviewers for Bringing Embodied Carbon Upfront. The report is a call to action for all new buildings, infrastructure and renovations to achieve 40% lower embodied carbon by 2030 and net zero embodied carbon by 2050, in addition to meeting net zero operational carbon. Better Places for People - Case Study Library We are the technical advisers to the WGBC Online Case Study Library, a digital platform that showcases projects that either achieve net zero energy or net zero carbon in operation, or verified health and wellbeing benefits, or both.
