Junior Tennis Program Red

The Deerfield Park District partners with LifeSport Management to provide year-round indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball instruction. LifeSport Management and their team of professionals have been creating quality programming for adult and juniors of all levels since 1986. The goal is to nurture a love of the game and provide a foundation of sound mechanics for every student.

Junior Tennis Orange 2

For players that are just starting to play tennis. Students will focus on learning the ABCs of tennis agility, balance and coordination. Students are introduced to tennis games that allow them to have fun, while developing basic skills, like proper stroke technique required to send and receive shots.

Orange 2 is for players that have completed ORANGE 1 or understand basic stroke technique and can rally. Class will work on reinforcing stroke technique and ball movement. Introducing point patterns and strategy to help players prepare for Orange Ball tournaments.*Make up classes must be pre-approved by tennis instructor PRIOR to missing a class.

Junior Tennis Program Green 1

Junior Tennis Program Orange 1

Orange 1 is for junior players who have minimal experience playing tennis. The focus at this level will be on developing on-court athletic skills while learning and refining the techniques necessary to serve, rally, and score.

Green 1 is for junior players with limited tennis experience. Class is taught using a green dot ball and focuses on developing sending and receiving skills, sound footwork, and racket mechanics, while incorporating comparable athletic skills developed in other sports. Players learn proper positioning to execute groundstrokes and volleys, hit with purpose, serve and sustain a rally.

Junior Tennis Program Green 2

Green 2 is for junior players that have completed ORANGE 2 or GREEN 1. Players must understand stroke technique and can rally. Class will work on executing patterns of play, varying the spin and pitch of their shots, demonstrating the correct footwork pattern to strike the ball. To prepare players for Green Ball tournaments.

Junior Tennis Development Program

Junior Development is designed for the junior high/high school age players. The program is a perfect fit for those desiring to make the High School team. Drills will be designed around stroke execution along with improvement of the serve. Point play is also a regular training component. Location:

High School is designed for the player who is a rising Freshman or currently plays on their High School team. Drills will be designed around stroke execution along with improvement of the serve. Point play is also a regular component.
