Band VIII (mit s- anlautende Stichwörter) enthält die materialreichste Wortstrecke und wird deshalb in zwei Teilen erscheinen.

The Dictionary of Old High German, planned in ten volumes, has been published by the Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities since 1952 and has been edited by Ulrich Schimd since the installment of V/15. Volume VIII (words starting with S) contains the run of words that is richest in material and will therefore appear in two parts.
