ch01 Galeries Lafayette Remodelling In collaboration with: AMANDA LEVETE ARCHITECTS (AL_A) APD Developed Design (Stage 3) Sept 2017 - Dec 2017 The relationship between the beautiful colour-glassed coupole at the center of the building and the new retail boutiques surrounding it conceives the essence of the remodelling project. This is achieved through the meticulous design of the ceilings that wrap the spaces. Within this scope, I was able to acquire a strong level of technical detail and coordination among the existing structural/architectural condition and the new design .

ch02 MAAT Lisbon Museum In collaboration with: AMANDA LEVETE ARCHITECTS (AL_A) Tender Review + Construction Phase March 2015 - Aug 2015 As a dialogue with the old Power Station in front of it and an extension of the riverfront, the museum softly blends with its surroundings expanding the public space at two levels, the rooftop and the riverside. During the development of this project, I gained valuable technical drafting skills, developed competent inner-project packages coordination skills and construction knowledge dealing with a range of innovative materials and techniques.

ch03 Europacity Music Venue In collaboration with: AMANDA LEVETE ARCHITECTS (AL_A) Competition Sept 2017 The aim of this project is to provide the user of Europacity with an ‘urban living room’. A place to walk through looking at the views towards the park, a place to sit and enjoy a chat, a place to enjoy the biggest music concert or the most intimate one... Within this competition I had the opportunity of developing a full set of drawings within a team of young architects, from the concept to the architecture and the atmosphere. I tackled subjects such as sustainable techniques, efficient logistics and large scale public space design.

The strip is activated through the reinterpretation and implementation of the Traditional Majorcan Market, conceived as an alternative strategy for a more local touristic model. The project aims to sew back together a broken social and urban tissue by connecting locals and tourists as well as the city and nature, unveiling the urban qualities of the neighborhood and the presence of local life, and engaging with local culture.

The Market Experience through Technique Through the exploration of technique and architectural detail, the market space is designed to be flexible and able to accomodate different types of markets, events as well as different time scales. The triple envelope provides the space with sunshade where specifically needed, in addition to cross ventilation, storage space and a beautiful play of lights through the vegetation facade, metal mesh and the wood paneling.

hh HOUSING

hh01 Housing in Guizhou DESIGN STUDIO VI HONG KONG UNIVERSITY, FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE Professors: Tao Zhu, Chad McKee Jan 2016 - May 2016

Inspired by Oswald Mattias Ungers’ The Neue Stadt understanding of the urban fabric and architectural design, this project is based on the consideration of the city as an interconnected network of individual rooms. The natural disposition of the project site makes it bond to develop a response to a situation of transition between the rural and the new city. The housing complex gradually transforms from a state of compactness to a state of dissolution. But this goes further beyond. This project explores the limits of urban inhabitation. It understands urbanity as a cluster of rooms composed in the appropriate way to host human life. The tension between urban inhabitation and public interaction. This is analyzed through the project in 3 different layers of complexity which correspond to 3 different architectural compositions.

di DESIGN I N N O VAT I O N THROUGH TECHNIQUE

di01 A drop in the landscape DESIGN STUDIO III IE SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN Professor: Lina Toro Sept 2014 - Dec 2014

Through the exploration of the smallest scale technique, the project smoothly manipulates the existing landscape introducing the layer of water as a continuous flow along the Lidget Park forest in Budapest. The development of a defined and complex modular catalogue drives the project to the generation of rich and varied atmospheres, where the public and the private realm meet in the careful spatial arrangement of the different elements.

di03 Pitch Pitch Multisport Centre In collaboration with: AMANDA LEVETE ARCHITECTS (AL_A) Concept Design Phase Dec 2017 The Pitch Pitch project is conceived as a modular stackable urban multisport centre that aims to be easy to transport, easy to build and easy to use. More similar to an industrial product than to a conventional architectural building, the system of stackable pitches is understood as a prototype ready to manufacture in large quantities. Allowing for maximum flexibility in the introduction of program, the project is designed as an intelligent modular lightweight structural system that can be dissassembled and stored in a total of 28 containers, and then recomposed in a two-day time.

NOSTALGIA

Is the old city of Segovia a neighbourhood? This project arises from the awareness that something is missing in the town of Segovia, Spain. There is a mismatch between the student life and the traditional Segovian lifestyle. But the city holds all the necessary variables to be a neighborhood.

So through understanding what the perceptions of the city and among the different social groups at play are, then mapping the barriers that these social groups face through their neighbourhood integration process, this project intends to break those limitations that impede the citizens become real neighbours.

ul02 Eresma River Greenway LANDSCAPE WORKSHOP IE SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN Professor: Barbara Pons Giner Oct 2016

A garden, a smile. Un huerto, una sonrisa. With the aim of relinking the ‘forgotten generation’ -the elderly, with ‘the urbanite generation’, the project takes the natural realm as an opportunity to recall the area’s identity of the traditional rural lifestyle; engaging the community in new activities related to nature, intensifying the presence of nature and creating a new network of social & economic connections along the greenway of Eresma River.

ct ARCHITECTURAL C U LT U R E & THEORY

ct01 Sociology through Architecture CULTURE & THEORY IV IE SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN Professors: Roberto Gonzalez & Ivan Lopez In collaboration with: Nadine Kabbani Jan - May 2015 This theoretical research explores the links between sociology and architecture throughout worldwide history. Attempting to avoid semantic preconceptions between east-west, north-south, the socio-architectural diagram is designed in a non conventional way, that tackles subjects such as architecture, art history, economics, politics and religion in a universal way.
