Wholesale Catalogue On the edge of the Peak District, in the small town of Glossop, there is a small workshop. In this workshop you will find a potter called Deiniol. In this workshop, Deiniol creates beautiful medieval inspired earthenware tiles.
The designs and patterns are inspired by traditional medieval tiles, as well as the geometric patterns found within medieval architecture. The designs are screen printed onto the tiles either with clay slips or onglazes. All the tiles are individually stamped with my makers mark and fired to earthenware. Great care is taken in their production along with a strong attention to detail. I am working on expanding the ranges so even if you don’t see anything suitable now, I am happy to take on board any thoughts or comments for future products.

Terracotta with ‘Honey Yellow’ Print
‘Copper Green’ with Black Print
White Glaze with ‘Cobalt Blue’ Print
White Glaze with ‘Black/Dark Grey’ Print
These designs are screen printed directly onto the hand made tile while the clay is still damp using either black or white clay ‘slip’. A white slip wash is used as a base for the black print. The tile is then coated in either a yellow or green earthenware glaze before being fired.
The ‘Contemporary’ range have an ‘Onglaze’ colour design screen printed over an opaque white glaze. During the firing, the onglaze melts into the white background to create a seamless finish. The white glaze also reveals the terracotta colour on the edges of the tile.

Coasters
Each coaster measures approximately 97x97x10mm and have protective cork pads on the underside. A set consists of four coasters of the same design and finish and comes in a presentation box which measures 102x102x55mm. Each box is labelled with a contents sticker for easy identification and care instructions on the inside.
