College Uniform
With our iconic blue and gold blazers, the De La Salle College uniform is well-recognised in the community and worn with pride by all Year 5 to 12 students. The uniform is an important part of our identity as a Lasallian College.
Students are expected to wear clothing which is clean, tidy and well maintained. All items of clothing should be clearly marked with the student’s name.
Footwear
All students are required to wear clean black leather school shoes with the school uniform (there are no exceptions).
Hair Hair must be well groomed, clean, neat and tidy. Hair must be off the face and above the eyebrows and collar. Extreme hairstyles, including colouring, will not be permitted.
Accessories Visible jewellery and tattoos are not permitted.
Grooming Facial hair is not permitted. Students are required to be clean shaven.
Students who fail to meet College expectations regarding appearance and uniform may be sent home by the Deputy Principal – Students or Directors of Students/Head of Campus.

Winter Uniform
The full school uniform is the winter uniform, which must be worn in Terms 2 and 3. Students must wear their winter shirt tucked in with tie and blazer but can wear shorts rather than trousers if they prefer. In Terms 1 and 4, students have the option of wearing the full summer uniform.
Shirt White, long sleeve shirt. It is to be worn with the College tie and tucked in at all times.
Trousers Grey trousers - trousers must not be excessively baggy or oversized and should be worn with a black belt
Jumper Navy blue monogrammed pullover The school jumper may be worn in winter or summer however it is not to be worn as an outer garment
Blazer The College blazer is the external garment to be worn to and from school and to all assemblies
Socks Grey or black socks
Shoes Black leather shoes
Where students choose to wear shorts with the winter uniform, the following applies:
Shorts Navy blue walk shorts
Socks Blue marle school socks
NB. The spray jacket is part of the sports uniform and is not an alternative to the College blazer. It may be worn over the blazer when travelling to and from school, when raining, and must be removed when the student is at school.
Summer Uniform
Shirt Short sleeve, white monogrammed school shirt. The short sleeve shirt may be worn outside the shorts. As an alternative, students are permitted to wear their winter shirt with tie and blazer, with the shirt tucked in.
Shorts Navy blue walk shorts
Jumper Navy blue monogrammed pullover The school jumper may be worn in winter or summer however it is not to be worn as an outer garment
Socks Blue marle school socks
Shoes Black leather shoes
Hat Blue College cap or wide brimmed hat (compulsory for primary students)
NB. The only garments that should be worn on the outside to and from school are either the short sleeve monogrammed shirt or the College blazer. The College spray jacket can be worn as stated on page 4
Sports Uniform
The sports uniform consists of the following:
• College polo shirt
• Navy blue monogrammed shorts or tracksuit pants
• Monogrammed rugby top
• White socks
• Runners or cross-trainers (street, skate and casual shoes are not permitted)
• College spray jacket
Tiverton Campus - Students are permitted to wear the sports uniform only on days when they have timetabled PE classes.
Holy Eucharist Campus - Students are permitted to wear the sports uniform only on days when they have a double period within Discovery which will be allocated to Physical Education.
Kinnoull Campus - Year 10 students are permitted to wear the sports uniform when they have their timetabled PE classes. Year 11 and 12 students are permitted to wear their sports uniform on Wednesdays to attend Internal or ACC Sport. The sports uniform is not to be worn to or from school by any other student.
House T-Shirt
The House T-Shirt is to be worn to special House events including carnivals and is not part of the regular sport uniform.
School Bag & Hat
Only the official De La Salle school bag is acceptable.
The College cap or wide brimmed hat is compulsory for primary school students in Term 1 and Term 4 and is encouraged at all Y ear Levels.
Beanie and Scarf - only the College branded beanie and scarf may be worn during Terms 2 and 3.
Uniform Suppliers
Our uniform supplier is Dobsons. Uniform can be purchased directly from the Dobsons store in Hawthorn, where they offer professional shoe fitting and clothing alterations.
Secondhand Uniform, Books etc: The Uniform Swapshop is a convenient way to buy and sell school resources. The service is free to register and search with no commissions to be paid. It deals in uniforms, textbooks, instruments, sports equipment etc.
