Carlson Construction Group increases industrial construction capability with acquisition of Aligned Industrial Services Inc.

In March, Carlson Construction Group Inc. (Carlson) announced the acquisition of Aligned Industrial Services Inc. (Aligned), a BC-based full-service mechanical and structural contractor providing installation and maintenance services for industrial facilities including processing, manufacturing, distribution, and transportation infrastructure. Aligned are specialists in complex piping, welding, equipment, and structural steel installations.

Aligned increases Carlson’s industrial construction capability − which already includes Brymark Installations Group Inc. (Brymark) and Corwest Fabrications Ltd. (Corwest) − and expands its industrial service offerings and position as a sought-after specialty contractor. Aligned’s General Manager Brad Dumont and Construction Manager Garey Carlson each bring over 20 years of experience in the industrial field and business leadership and previously worked at Brymark.

Gordon W. Carlson, Founder and Chairman of Carlson states: “Aligned Industrial brings added offerings and expanded future potential to our organization. Its key senior management of Brad Dumont and Garey Carlson are excellent additions to our leadership team.”

Effective March 16, 2022, Brad Dumont has been promoted and will serve as General Manager of all Carlson industrial operating companies including Aligned, Brymark and Corwest. Garey Carlson will continue as Construction Manager for Aligned.

Carlson, a family-owned and operated company, is a leading specialist contractor that is trusted by its clients to build and maintain their most challenging heavy civil, marine, and industrial projects. This year marks Carlson’s 50th year in business as a regional contractor. Carlson now includes Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd., Brymark Installations Group Inc., Corwest Fabrications Ltd., and Aligned Industrial Services Inc., which together have more than 250 years of operating experience. l
