Whether you are a copywriter or an art director, your employer hires you based on the advertising work which you produce. But for me this goes beyond just thinking of great ideas. Its you: the way you write that makes you stand out from the thousands of other people in our industry.
As an advertising agency, we often get asked, ‘should we do a viral ad?’ Unfortunately, you can’t really plan something ‘to go viral’; viral is just that, creative that needs to get into the veins of consumers’ social networks and email address books. And it won’t do that unless it’s worth spreading.
