Established in 1945 by the master Giuseppe Ostuni, Oluce is the oldest Italian lighting design company that is still active today. In fact, before the war there existed only Gino Sarfatti's Arteluce, which disappeared in the late '90s, while 1948 saw the birth of Azucena and Lamperti, followed by Arredoluce and Stilnovo in 1950. But for many years it was chiefly Arteluce, Azucena and Oluce that dominated the Italian scene, creating a hub for the designers - strongly engaged first in the reconstruction and later in the birth of series production - who animated the Milanese forum: Vittoriano Viganò and BBPR, Gigi Caccia Dominioni and Ignazio Gardella, Marco Zanuso and Joe Colombo.

For fifty years we have been crafting objects of light and shedding brightness on generations of dreams. For us, light is the substance for expressing new ideas and illuminating unexplored emotions. We write the future, reading our past and expressing the present, in a continuity of positive challenges and bold choices that have shaped our image and identity. Our history has taught us to fan the flames of provocation with research into new poetic notions of functionality. Trusting our intuition has always allowed us to create products that become icons, establishing new typologies and innovative archetypes. Connecting with masters of design. Discovering new talents. Commanding high technical and technological status. Staying tuned into mass culture. These qualities always place us at the cutting edge. Experimentation opens the way for us to use revolutionary materials - as in the past with Cocoon and hi-tech solutions, today represented by OLEDs and eco-sustainable materials. Our lamps, of yesterday and today, never fail to be serious about their sense of play and irony. On the fine line that divides and unites art and design, craftsmanship and industry, the limited edition and larger scale manufacturing, an individual’s idea and the collective imagination. That’s our place. That’s where you’ll find us.
When Nani founded the company in 1987, she was driven by a single desire: wanting to design rugs. With more than 25 years of history, now the company focuses on offering its rugs to a world that is interested in creativity, quality and innovation. And its companions on this journey are the sector's best designers and most enthusiastic craftspeople. Design was always very important in the Marquina household. Rafael Marquina, Nani's father and the creator of the famous Marquina oil cruet, which won him the first FAD prize in 1961, was one of the pioneers of design in Spain. This made a deep impression on Nani, who knew from a young age that she wanted to follow in her father's footsteps and draw on the family gift – creating. At that time contemporary rugs were non-existent in Spain, so it was a good idea and the first pieces were well-received. The project was soon shared with other designers who were leading figures in the Spanish design scene of the '80s, driving exports and generating a need for the company to reinvent itself to satisfy these new markets. This is what led nanimarquina to throw itself into the adventure of moving production to India, where it discovered the country's craftsmanship, its unlimited possibilities and the cultural value of rugs. nanimarquina is a family firm with a motivated team. Nani's daughter, Maria Piera, is her righthand woman in managing the business. Pierre Armengaud, Maria's husband, deals with sales and internationalisation. Carlota Marquina, Nani's sister, has lovingly cared for the brand's image since the beginning as Art Director. And Gerard Piera, Maria's father, is in charge of the company's finances. Now, the company focuses on offering its rugs to a world that is interested in creativity, quality and innovation. And its companions on this journey are the sector's best designers and most enthusiastic craftspeople

It’s now a company with extensive experience, which is s1ll oriented towards the iden1fica1on of cuTng-‐edge research solu1ons always original and highly crea1ve, that each 1me draws inspira1on from different worlds. History The design is Italian, the rest is produc1on. And in Italy, design companies bear the names of the families that founded the brands. Like Tacchini, created in 1965 by Antonio, when produc1on, too, was almost en1rely Italian, and the most poe1c and soul-‐s1rring passages in the story of design were wrimen. Naturally in 1me the children become the heirs, and the new founders, in a ra1onale of con1nuous upda1ng and redefini1on of the underlying idea, and that is what is actually handed down. Equally naturally, those who frequent the family become a part of it: team members, consultants, suppliers, employees, workers and clients. S1ll today, in this family, the strength of the idea is central to every crea1ve process, in a logical process of evolu1on, from the analysis of the idea to the three dimensions of the object, before ul1mately becoming the essence of living. This ongoing process ensures a sense of connec1on with contemporary style, which is then further enhanced by the choice of quality materials and leading-‐edge technology, and always referencing an all-‐important tradi1on, so as to avoid the danger of confusing style with flee1ng fashions and design with simple mass produc1on.
Since it was set up in 2004, spHaus has focused most of its resources on the interna1onal supply segment. Thanks to collabora1ons with important design studios and renowned contract agencies, the company made its mark in just a few years following its par1cipa1on in numerous interna1onal tenders where its products became dis1nc1ve parts of various projects. We have furnished restaurants, hotel lobbies, bars, lounge areas, wai1ng rooms of managerial complexes, airport wai1ng areas, clothing stores and showrooms, gym relax areas, spas, schools and universi1es all over the world. The products that have stood out the most are found in the upholstery category, which represents the company’s core business. However, we have always supported them with our complementary furniture: tables, coffee tables, lamps, containers, and clothes stands. Our standard produc1on is flanked by various degrees of product customiza1on: from the use of colors and fabrics upon the customer’s request to the crea1on of contract products. Our company boasts high-‐level manufacturing quality. All working processes, both industrial and craomade, are 100% Made in Italy, with 80% located in the produc1on hub of Brianza, famous for being the loca1on of many historical design brands. This guarantee of superior finishing levels is only comparable to companies of similar origins.
