M6/M6T Airborne Small-Size Target
Mission
The M6/M6T airborne small-size target is designed to simulate an aerial target for heatseeking and radar-guided weapon systems.

The airborne target can be used to evaluate combat effectiveness of different air defence systems and air-to-air guided missiles, as well as to support training of air defence and air force personnel.

This decoy is airdropped from carrieraircraft. The air target is simulated during the M6/M6T descent on the parachute thanks to reflections of radars' electromagnetic energy and heat/light generation for heat-seeking missiles.
The M6/M6T small-size target can be detected and tracked in flight visually and with radars and cine-theodolites.
