Donors to Delta State have a direct influence on a student’s life by ensuring much-needed scholarships and financial aid are available. An endowment gift of $200,000 today would relieve the annual loan burden for one student.
An endowment gift of $150,000 today would offset one year of tuition for one student.
An annual gift of $12,500 would provide a full scholarship for one year for one student.
Scholarships help Delta State be more competitive in the recruitment and retainment of outstanding students. They are critical in order to attract bright, talented, creative and deserving applicants, thus enhancing Delta State’s reputation and elevating the intellectual climate on campus. Merit scholarships are awarded for academic achievement. Talent scholarships are offered to students in the areas of music and art. Athletic scholarships provide key support for the Statesmen and Lady Statesmen athletic programs.

$15 Million for Scholarships Scholarship support has never been more important to Delta State and the talented and deserving students who want to be a part of the Delta State family. Scholarships have taken a huge load off my parents. I am the youngest of five, and scholarship assistance helps with tuition and prevents me from going deep into debt.

Many students with financial need enroll at Delta State. Even if they receive financial aid, they often must balance multiple jobs, heavy academic loads and other demands to reach graduation.
