Wat gebeurt er als je kunst in vele handen legt? Wat als burgers, kunstenaars en verenigingen samen in de cockpit van een kunstenfestival gaan zitten? Krijg je een droom die langzaam opborrelt en waar een stad naar toe leeft? Overbruggen we de kloof tussen kunstenaars, cultuurprofessionals en burgers? Trekken we nieuwe culturele registers open? Ontstaat er een nieuwe canon? Wordt het een (gedeeltelijk) succes of stranden we? We willen het weten, dus doen we het. Van 26 tot en met 29 april 2018 organiseert Dēmos de vierde editie van het participatieve en multidisciplinaire kunstenfestival ENTER in Brussel. ENTER Festival BXL gaat parallel door in vier zones van het Brussels gewest en wordt gerealiseerd in samenwerking met de stad Brussel (Brussel Stad, Haren, Laken), de gemeente Sint-Pieters-Woluwe, de Brusselse gemeenschapscentra van de VGC en per zone een veelheid aan verenigingen, organisaties en instellingen. We infiltreren het Brusselse cultuurlandschap met een concreet participatief concept: een blauwdruk voor een kunstenfestival dat zich ent op de sociale en maatschappelijke realiteit van de stad.

De projecten in deze catalogus zijn allen geproduceerd in of na 2016 en kunnen geboekt worden in het seizoen 2018-2019. ENTER Festival BXL lanceerde in juni 2017 een drietalige open call en zette een ruim net uit. We gingen op zoek naar artistieke producties die burgers betrekken in het creatieproces. Én we zochten vers Brussels talent dat meer podiumkansen verdient. Een achttien-koppige redactieraad * van Vlaamse en Brusselse actoren uit de artistieke verfijnde het totaal van 209 ingezonden projecten tot de 80 in deze catalogus. De catalogus die voorligt, was een werkinstrument voor bewoners in de vier festivalzones om hun versie van het festival bij elkaar te puzzelen. Met een programmatiebudget selecteerden zij de producties die ze relevant vinden om in hun wijk te tonen. We sturen deze catalogus ook de wijde wereld in omdat we deze 80 projecten mee willen uitdragen. Omdat we ze treffend vinden. Omdat ze een uniek proces hebben teweeggebracht bij de niet-professionele deelnemers. Omdathet kunstpraktijken zijn die een ruimer, diverser publiek verdienen. ENTER Festival BXL is een statement en experimenteel format rond participatief en divers creëren, programmeren en organiseren. Et si on rendait l’art à monsieur tout le monde? Que se passe-til quand les citoyens, les artistes et les associations rejoignent la direction d’un festival artistique? Est-ce que tout doucement apparaitrait un rêve vers lequel peut tendre la ville? Et si nous comblions l’écart entre artistes, travailleurs culturels et citoyens? Et si nous ouvrions de nouvelles pages culturelles? Renversions les dogmes? Serions-nous voués au succès ou à l’échec?

18 personnalités culturelles flamandes et bruxelloises a reçu plus de 200 projets. Ce catalogue rassemble les 80 propositions qui ont retenu leur attention. Ce catalogue fut ensuite présenté aux habitants des quatres zones urbaines concernées pour leur permettre de composer leur propre version du festival. Pourvus de leur propre budget de programmation, ils ont pu décider des projets à même d’être présentés dans leur quartier. Nous mettons également ce catalogue à la disposition du grand public, dans une volonté de promotion de ces 80 projets. Parce que nous les trouvons pointus. Parce qu’ils ont été à la base d’un processus unique chez les participants non-professionnels. Parce que nous estimons qu’il s’agit de pratiques artistiques qui méritent un public plus large et plus divers.

On veut savoir, alors on tente! Du 26 au 29 avril 2018, Dēmos organise la quatrième édition du festival artistique participatif et multidisciplinaire ENTER à Bruxelles. ENTER Festival BXL se déroule parallèlement dans quatre zones de la région bruxelloise et est réalisé en collaboration avec la Ville de Bruxelles (Bruxelles-Ville, Haren, Laeken), la commune de Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, les centres communautaires bruxellois de la VGC mais aussi une multitude d’associations et d’organismes divers dans ces différentes zones. Nous infiltrons le riche paysage culturel bruxellois avec un concept participatif concret: le projet d’un festival artistique participatif se greffant sur la réalité sociale et sociétale de la ville. What happens if you put art in many hands? What happens when citizens, artists and associations team up in the cockpit of an arts festival? Will it be a dream that slowly takes form and makes a city longing for? Are we bridging the gap between artists, cultural professionals and citizens? Do we open new cultural registers? Does a new canon arise? Will we succeed or do we fail? We were curious, so we just did it. From 26th to 29th of April 2018 Demos is organising the fourth edition of the participatory and multidisciplinary arts festival ENTER in Brussels. ENTER Festival BXL is taking place in four zones in the Brussels region at the same time and is realised in collaboration with the city of Brussels (Brussels City, Haren, Laken), the commune of Sint-Pieters-Woluwe, the community centres of the VGC and per zone a multitude of associations, organisations and institutions. We infiltrate the rich cultural landscape of Brussels with a specific participatory concept: a blueprint for a participatory arts festival that focuses on the social (and communal/civil) reality of the city.

ENTER Festival BXL launched a trilingual open call in June 2017 and threw a large net. We searched for artistic productions that involve citizens in the creative process. Also, we went looking for fresh Brussels talent that deserves more stage opportunities. With an eighteen-person editorial board * of Flemish and Brussels artistic actors, we reduced the catch of 209 projects to 80 in this catalog. The catalog is a tool for residents in the four festival zones to compile their version of the festival. With a programming budget they selected which productions are relevant to show today in their neighbourhood. We also send this catalog to the broader world because we want to spread these 80 projects. Because we find them cutting-edge. Because they have created a unique process among the non-professional participants. Because we believe these art practices deserve a broader, more diverse audience. Eén van de meest prangende uitdagingen voor de cultuursector is hoe men de veelheid aan culturele referentiekaders die een wijk, een stad, een land rijk is kan tonen, zonder daarbij mensen te reduceren tot hun etnische, culturele of religieuze achtergrond.

One of the most pressing challenges for the cultural sector is how to reveal the multitude of cultural reference frameworks that a neighborhood, a city or a land is rich, without reducing people to their ethnic, cultural or religious background.

Het is ook een (werk)plaats voor nieuwkomers-kunstenaars en een alternatieve presentatieplek.

zone d’air an@globearoma.be Ademruimte is een tentoonstelling met 17 kunstenaars waarbij de ruimte centraal staat, het is de ruimte die hen verbindt. Ademruimte is een moment van rust, een moment waarop we niet meer werken, wanneer alles klaar is en we een pauze nemen. Dit is wat de tentoonstellingsruimte betekent binnen het leven van een kunstenaar. Er is ook de ademruimte die kunstencentrum Globe Aroma biedt in het woelige leven van veel kunstenaars. Het is een plaats om met kunst bezig te zijn en even niet te denken aan alles wat zich buiten afspeelt.

Zone d’air est une exposition de 17 artistes, où l’espace est au centre, c’est l’espace qui les relie. Zone d’air est un moment de repos, un moment où on peut s’arrêter de travailler et prendre une pause. Zone d’air nous invite à comprendre ce que signifie l’espace d’exposition dans la vie d’un artiste. Il y a également la zone d’air que Globe Aroma constitue dans la vie turbulente de nombreux artistes. C’est un lieu pour penser son art, le temps d’un instant à l’abri des tribulations extérieures. Ademruimte or ‘breathing space’ is an exhibition of 17 artists in which space is the central theme, because it is the space which connects them. Ademruimte is a moment of rest, a moment when we no longer work, when everything is ready and when we take a break. This is what the exhibition space means within the life of an artist, the moment when you can take a breath. There is also the breathing space that the organisation Globe Aroma creates in the turbulent life of many artists. It is a place to be occupied with art and not to think about the pressures of the outside world.

Kaa m’isole Kāā m’isole est un groupe de cinq musiciens qui se sont réunis par l’envie de créer de nouveaux sons. Ils chantent en anglais et en français, mais recourent souvent à des langages mystérieux qu’eux seuls semblent pouvoir comprendre. Ils mélangent des compositions acoustiques, rock et progressives à des sonorités electro et trip-hop et créent un univers musical particulier.

La musique de Kāā m’isole sonne comme le sifflement d’un serpent, d’où la référence au célèbre serpent Kāā. Leur musique a un effet hypnotisant, est mystérieuse, insaisissable et éphémère. Les textes poétiques zigzaguent, se faufilent entre les accords des guitares, du tombonne, des basses et des percussions.

De muziek van Kāā m’isole klinkt als het gesis van een slang, van waar hun naam ook, die refereert aan de beruchte slang Kāā… Hun muziek werkt hypnotiserend, klinkt mysterieus en ongrijpbaar. Poëtische teksten zigzaggen, kronkelen en sluipen tussen de akkoorden van hun gitaren, de trombone, bastonen, en percussiegeroffel. The music of Kāā m’isole sounds like the hissing of a snake, hence the reference to the famous serpent Kāā. Their music has a mesmerizing effect, is mysterious and elusive, ephemeral. The poetic texts zigzag, meander and weave between the chords of their guitars, the trombone, the bass and percussions.

Bixas

Bixas est un collectif d’artistes-performeurs créé en septembre 2014 à la suite du spectacle Batucada du chorégraphe brésilien Marcelo ‘Evelin & Demolition Inc’ pour le Kunstenfestivaldesarts à Bruxelles: ‘Nous avons réuni nos différents savoir-faire comme la danse contemporaine, la danse africaine, le contact-improvisation, le théâtre, la performance et la scénographie. En partageant ces expériences, mais aussi différentes cultures, nous nous sommes enrichis de nos singularités.’ Bixas travaille sur ‘le construire ensemble’, sur le partage et la négociation, ainsi que la notion d’interstice, d’espace entre les choses. ‘Nos sources d’inspiration sont des faits sociétaux, mettant en jeu la liberté de circulation et les flux de population.’

doors brusselsbixas@gmail.com Cinq portes nomades vous feront voyager à travers le quartier, des lieux les plus emblématiques aux endroits du quotidien les plus anonymes. En détournant les portes de leur usage habituel, les artistes interrogent le rapport de l’homme à la ville. C’est un parcours urbain totalement inhabituel, qui proposera au spectateur d’inventer de nouvelles interactions avec son environnement quotidien.

Vijf nomadische poorten voeren je mee naar bijzondere plekken in de wijk, plekken die van groot belang zijn voor de wijk, of net die plekken waar zomaar aan voorbij gegaan wordt. Door de deur uit haar dagelijkse context te halen, stellen de makers de relatie tussen mensen en hun stad in vraag. Het publiek wordt uitgenodigd tot interactie met hun buurt tijdens deze ongebruikelijke wandeling. Five nomadic doors are dispersed among symbolically strong but otherwise harmless places of the district. Diverting the preconception of daily use of a door, the artists question the relationship of people to their city. The public is invited to interact in this unusual walk.

De Vélo is een zelfstandige theatergroep en een muziekspektakel gegroeid uit de sociaal-artistieke samenwerking tussen gemeenschapscentrum De Markten (Forsiti’A) en Hobo, een dagcentrum voor thuislozen. De voorstelling werd geselecteerd voor Het Theaterfestival in 2016; het eerste sociaal-artistieke project dat die eer te beurt viel. Het productiehuis De Chinezen volgde De Vélo voor een Canvas reportage en de koorleden kwamen wekelijks aan bod in het tv-programma Iedereen Beroemd.

De Vélo présente une fable qui va vous faire chaud au coeur: Une histoire de notre capitale, une lumière dans la nuit dans ces temps un peu sombres. De Vélo réunit des bruxellois de tous horizons autour d’un projet artistique commun. Sans-abris, réfugiés, mères-enfants, ex-toxicomanes, nouveaux belges ou presque Belges: un petit choeur d’hommes fragiles mais soudés, chacun avec son bagage et ses étiquettes collées à la peau, vous raconte et vous chante leurs histoires. With a colourful mix of people, De Vélo brings us a heartwarming story from our capital. This performance is a boost in frightened days, a bright spot in the darkness! De Vélo brings together Brussels residents from all corners of the world around a common artistic project. Homeless people, refugees, teenage mothers, former addicts, new Belgians, almost-Belgians, people with luggage and a label are united in a small choir that sings their fragile stories.

Drie cyborgs zijn op zoek naar hun identiteit en hun plaats in de wereld van vandaag. Ze zijn het resultaat van een laboratorium gespecialiseerd in genetica en cybernetica, en ze zijn ontsnapt uit hun glazen gevangenis. Langzaamaan ontdekken ze een complexe wereld waar het organische en mechanische zich vermengen en onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden geraken. This performance symbolizes a fight in a world where man and technology are inseparably connected, to the point where the question rises about the unity of man and machine. en route En Route is een talentvolle groep Afghaanse, niet-begeleide minderjarigen die vertellen over hun vertrek uit Afghanistan en hun aankomst in België. Door middel van theater, muziek en beeld komen thema’s als verbanning, identiteitsverlies, liefde en scheiding aan bod. De initiatiefnemers vertrokken zelf als jongeren uit Iran. Verbanning is het essentiële thema van hun artistieke creatie.

Het verleden is verloren, het heden bestaat uit wachten. De jongeren van En Route tonen een wereld die gewelddadig en wreed kan zijn. Samen met het publiek gooien ze zich in een onzichtbare, ontastbare toekomst. Wiegend op hun dromen van vrijheid en de muziek uit Afghanistan, delen ze hun ontgoochelingen en hun hoop, soms in hun Perzische moedertaal, soms in het Frans.

Hier n’est plus, demain pas encore là. Ces jeunes de En route nous dévoilent un monde parfois violent et cruel. Avec le public ils se jettent dans un futur incertain. Bercés de leurs rêves de liberté et par la musique de leur enfance en Afghanistan, ils partagent leurs espoirs et leurs désillusions en partie dans leur langue maternelle, le farsi, et en partie en français. The past is lost, the present consists of waiting. These young people show us a world that is sometimes violent and cruel. Together with the audience they throw themselves into an invisible, intangible future. Inspired by their dreams of freedom and the music from their childhood in Afghanistan, they share their disappointments and their hopes in their native Persian language, and sometimes in French.

Het Nieuwstedelijk

& Lucas Derycke Lucas Derycke is een jonge radiomaker die zich toelegt op verhalende radio. Geen pure geluidskunst, maar audio als middel om te zeggen wat hij te zeggen heeft. Hij maakt documentaires voor de Nederlandse omroep, mockumentaries voor Radio 1 en radiofictie voor de Duitse omroep. Voor het audiowerkstuk Screener kreeg hij de Hörspielpreis der Kriegsblinden, de belangrijkste Duitse prijs voor hoorspelen. Een jaar lang maakt Lucas als jonge maker deel uit van Het Nieuwstedelijk. Het gezelschap wil audio een centrale rol geven in haar artistieke plannen. PODIUM 70' NL

Noord-Griekenland. Jasmin en Hanna gaan als vrijwilliger aan de slag in een vluchtelingenkamp. Ze ontfermen zich over achthonderd Syrische vluchtelingen. Met een klein team van vrijwilligers hopen ze het verschil te maken, maar ze stoten al snel op de grenzen van hun mogelijkheden. Lucas Derycke plaatst het verhaal van Jasmin en Hanna naast dat van een oude Esperantist, die heimwee heeft naar de tijd dat zijn ideaal nog springlevend was.

Lucas Derycke met l’histoire de Jasmin et Hanna à côté de celle d’un vieil espérantiste, nostalgique d’une époque ou ces idéaux étaient encore vivants. Northern Greece. Jasmin and Hanna go to work as volunteers in a refugee camp. They take care of eight hundred Syrian refugees. With a small team of volunteers, they ensure that the donations – which come from all over Europe – are distributed fairly. They hope to make the difference, but are quickly confronted with the limits of their possibilities. Lucas Derycke places the story of Jasmin and Hanna next to that of an old Esperantist, who is nostalgic for the time when his ideal was still alive.

Aan de hand van ontmoetingen met experts, kunstenaars, kinderen en bejaarden keerden ze de kwestie gedurende twee jaar binnenstebuiten. De voorstelling is geen pleidooi voor of tegen, maar een verbeelding over hoe de dood er theatraal uit ziet. Un cas parmi leurs proches a incité Barbara et Stefanie Claes à poser le débat de l’euthanasie: pendant deux ans, elles ont rencontré des experts, des artistes, des enfants et des personnes âgées pour étudier la question sous tous ses angles. Il ne s’agit pas d’un plaidoyer pour ou contre, mais plutôt de poser cette question de la fin de vie sous une forme théâtrale: un regard coloré, musical et dansant. Euthanasia in their immediate surroundings caused artists Barbara and Stefanie Claes to reflect on this controversial subject. Through encounters with experts, artists, children and the elderly, they turned the issue inside out over a period of two years. The result is a performance which is not a plea for or against euthanasia, but rather an imagining about what death looks like. In a colourful, visual and dancing way, they seek the moment of silence.

Lost between the 70’s and now, somewhere between the Bronx and their scene. They are two, one plus one, but they are also millions. With aerial straps and an aerial hoop they constuct an identity.Or maybe they are still looking for it, sharing this hip hop corporality and singling themselves out by circus tricks. The movement brings them to an existential pleasure, developed over several sequences. Five to be precise; like the five components of hip-hop: human beat box, rap, DJing, B-boying and graffiti.

Verloren tussen de jaren ‘70 en vandaag, ergens tussen de Bronx en hun podium. Ze zijn met twee, één plus één, maar ze zijn ook met miljoenen. Met hun circusdoeken en hoepels ontwikkelen ze een eigen identiteit, die ze permanent in vraag stellen en uitbouwen. Weg van het klassieke circusnummer, verkennen ze bewegingen geïnspireerd op de hip-hop. Hun acts ademen een existentiële vrolijkheid uit, geïnspireerd op verschillende componenten uit de hiphopwereld: menselijke beatbox, rap, DJ’ing, B-boing en graffiti. Perdus entre les années ‘70 et maintenant, quelque part entre les Bronx et leur scène. Ils sont deux, un plus un, mais aussi des millions. Ils se sont construit une identité artistique au moyen de leurs sangles aériennes et de leur cerceau aérien. Une identité qu’ils interrogent et construisent en permanence, loin du classique numéro de cirque en développant une corporalité inspirée de l’univers hip-hop. Une véritable jubilation existentielle jaillit de leurs mouvements, à travers des différentes séquences du hip-hop: human beat box, rap, DJ’ing, B-boing, graffiti.

Genderless. A tale of memories maakt deel uit van Genderless, een multimediaal onderzoek dat Maryam in 2015 opstartte. Het is een video-installatie waarin ze op zoek gaat naar nieuwe interpretaties voor gender: we ontmoeten een diverse groep mensen die ons meevoeren doorheen hun gedachten en verhalen uit hun kinderjaren. De verhalen tonen de kracht en impact van beeld, vertelling en herinneringen op de constructie van gender & identiteit.

Genderless. A tale of memories fait partie de Genderless, une recherche multimédiale lancée par Maryam en 2015. Une installation vidéo qui questionnait les différents concepts entourant la notion de genre. On y rencontre un groupe hétéroclite de personnes qui partagent avec nous leurs pensées et histoires sur leur chemin de l’enfance. Ces histoires nous montrent toute la force et l’impact que peuvent avoir les images, les récits et les souvenirs dans la construction du genre et de l’identité. Genderless. Great White Death Great White Death est formé à Bruxelles en 2012, par Jean-Stéphane Therasse et Dalila De Waele. Formé à l’origine autour d’un projet initial indie-rock aux accents folks, l’arrivée d’une seconde fratrie a posé le défi du lien entre électronique et organique. Aujourd’hui Great White Death tente de faire vivre une incandescence hybride entre ces deux termes. Le groupe a sorti son premier EP, totalement autoproduit en 2015 et vient de sortir son deuxième EP en octobre 2017.

fleur k Hani Fleur Khani is een Brusselse muzikante, theatermaakster en actrice. Ze studeerde theater aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Antwerpen en vervolmaakte haar eigen artistieke taal in het postgraduaat programma a.pass (Advanced Performance and Scenography Studies) in Brussel. Dilan loopt hier op aarde rond en houdt halt op plaatsen waar ze haar ukulele Froufrou en haar karakteristieke stem kan laten klinken. Ze speelt dan covers en eigen liedjes, in het Frans, geïnspireerd door al wat ze op haar pad is tegengekomen. Dilan is strolling around planet Earth and stops at all the places she wants to make her ukulele Froufrou and her particular voice heard. Inspired by what she has come across along her path, she plays covers in her own distinctive way combined with her own songs, in French.

Diba mounir Diba Mounir, de son vrai nom Diba Mounirou est un chanteur et compositeur de Pop, Afro pop, RnB, World, né à Nouakchott (capitale de la Mauritanie). Diba Mounir commença sa carrière musicale en 2010 à Bruxelles. A l’academie de musique d’Ixelles il prend des cours de chant et de solfège. Tout seul, il apprend à composer. Une quête absurde et hilarante de six humains confrontés à tous les paradoxes jalonnant la route d’un meilleur vivre ensemble.

Een heel bijzonder gebouw, zes krappe ruimtes, zes kleurrijke huurders. Allegorie van een wereld waarin iedereen onhandig zijn plek wil vinden, maar niemand lijkt te weten hoe het moet. De huurders kruisen elkaar, kijken elkaar aan en zoeken elkaar op, maar telkens missen ze elkaar. Een absurde en hilarische zoektocht van zes mensen die geconfronteerd worden met alle paradoxen op weg naar beter samenleven. In a singular building, there are six cramped spaces with six colourful tenants. Collectif Hold Up is an allegory of a world where everyone clumsily wants to find their place but where nobody seems to know how to do it. They examine at each other and search for each other but, each time they fail to connect. An absurd and hilarious quest of six humans confronted with all the paradoxes punctuating the journey to discover a better way to live together.

Welke superheld zou kunnen beletten dat idealen vervagen en hun schoonheid verliezen? Dat spontane verbondenheid verdwijnt en dat een teveel aan goede bedoelingen de geschiedenis niet steeds doet herhalen: dat Aphrodite wordt vermoord, liefde zich laat digitaliseren, en we allen liefst zélf de superheld zijn.

Quel superhéros pourrait éviter que nos idéaux se fanent et que leur beauté ne s’envole. Comment pourrait-il garantir qu’un excès de bonnes intentions ne fasse que l’histoire ne se répète encore et encore: Aphrodite assassinée, amour digitalisé, des hommes qui préfèrent des superhéros que chacun de leur côté… Which superhero can prevent their ideals from fading and their beauty from being ravaged? How can they guarantee that an investment in good intentions will always ensure that history will not repeat itself, and that solidarity still matters? In the current state of the world we see Aphrodite being murdered, love becoming digitised, and we all prefer to be the superhero ourselves.

Dans le cadre du contrat de quartier Jonction Marolles (2015–2018), MET-X a développé un projet musical participatif à grande échelle: interculturel, intergénérationnel et interdisciplinaire. Sous la gestion d’artistes expérimentés du monde du jazz et de la musique du monde, des fanfares, des chœurs, des groupes de percussion, des majorettes, des danseurs et des solistes – tant professionnels qu’amateurs – présentent une aventure musicale et visuelle hors du commun. Une symphonie urbaine remplie de grooves envoûtants, de solos fragiles et de mégaphones.

Gjovalin a la musique traditionnelle dans le sang. Ses morceaux trouvent leurs origines en Albanie, en Roumanie, en Bulgarie, en Hongrie… Sa musique est jouée et dansée dans les mariages ou autres fêtes diverses. Balkan Sound Machine nous promet à nouveau une grande fête en musique. This group of five virtuosos has the pleasure of playing Balkan music in the traditional way, thanks to the compositions and arrangements of musician Gjovalin Nonaj. He is an accordionist and singer of Albanian origin with traditional music in his blood. The pieces of music have their origins in Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary. Traditionally this music is played and danced to at weddings and at festivals. The band ensures a wonderful show and a successful concert.

Chems Deddine et Yohan Bondo ont grandi dans la Gare du Nord, ce qui fait qu’ils ont appris à lire et à manipuler la ville d’une toute autre perspective. Avec No(o)rd, ils souhaitent examiner comment ils peuvent traduire cette underground vibe sur scène. Chems Deddine and Yohan Bondo grew up in the neighbourhood of Brussels North Station, where they learned to read and play the city from a completely different perspective. Il s’agit d’une réflexion personnel sur la difficulté à dépasser les barrières linguistiques et les préjugés, et sur l’envie de tisser des liens.

La Compagnia Atipica Randagia est une compagnie qui réalise des créations de spectacle vivant originales et inédites. Elisa De Angelis est écrivain, diplômée en Arts du spectacle vivant à l’Université Libre de Bruxelles. Passionnée par la culture en tous ses aspects, elle a toujours combiné sa pratique de l’écriture et de la dramaturgie à d’autres formes d’art, notamment le théâtre et la danse orientale. Lucia Lerendegui est comédienne, musicienne et danseuse. Diplômée du Conservatoire de théâtre de Buenos Aires et de l’Institut Vocationnel d’Art, Lucia développe son travail en tant qu’artiste dans des différents projets qui combinent la danse, la musique, le théâtre et le cinéma. Ronin is een 16-koppig danscollectief uit de Brusselse scene. Ze mixen de meest uiteenlopende dansstijlen tot een eigen, herkenbare taal. Nadat leden van de groep de wedstrijd 1000 pieces Puzzle van Zinnema wonnen, wagen ze zich nu als collectief aan een artistieke creatie. De voorstelling is gebaseerd op een Manga en onderzoekt energieën aan de hand van zes verschillende dans frases. Ronin is a 16-person dance collective from Brussels. They mix the most diverse dance styles into their own recognisable dance language. After several members of the collective won the 1000 pieces Puzzle contest at Zinnema, they will commence once again to throw themselves into an artistic creation as a collective. The performance is based on a Manga comic and explores energies through six different dance phrases.

Naast eigen songs, werkten verschillende muzikanten ook samen aan het nummer Tous des frères, een hommage aan de gelijkheid tussen mensen, waar later ook een clip van uitkomt. Ter promotie van het album, kan je de muzikanten nu ook boeken.

En 2018, la maison des arts bruxelloise Globe Aroma, sort la compilation Se Lal Bum à la demande de ses artistes. A côté de leurs chansons propres, les différents musiciens ont collaboré au numéro Tous des frères. Un hommage à l’égalité entre les hommes, dont un clip est attendu prochainement. En promotion de l’album, il est déjà possible de programmer les musiciens. In 2018, at the request of its artists, Brussels open art house Globe Aroma will release the compilation album Se Lal Bum. Dat beeld wordt geïnterpreteerd en omgezet in live muziek.

Cette image est ensuite interprétée et transformée en musique live. When making an image of the human environment and our relation to our humankind, what does this sound like? SoundWaves is an interactive, audiovisual performance in which participants take place at a projector to tell a visual story with their bodies, liquids, objects, herbs, air,... Bixas est un collectif d’artistes-performeurs créé en septembre 2014 à la suite du spectacle Batucada du chorégraphe brésilien Marcelo Evelin & Demolition Inc pour le Kunstenfestivaldesarts à Bruxelles: ‘Nous avons réuni nos différents savoir-faire comme la danse contemporaine, la danse africaine, le contact-improvisation, le théâtre, la performance et la scénographie. En partageant ces expériences, mais aussi différentes cultures, nous nous sommes enrichis de nos singularités.’ Bixas travaille sur ‘le construire ensemble’, sur le partage et la négociation, ainsi que la notion d’interstice, d’espace entre les choses. ‘Nos sources d’inspiration sont des faits sociétaux, mettant en jeu la liberté de circulation et les flux de population.’

System_D on tour is een spin-off van het Filmfestival System_D, tweejaarlijks georganiseerd onder leiding van Citylab Pianofabriek. Het filmfestival selecteert Brusselse films op basis van volgende criteria: De makers zijn jong van geest, genoten geen filmopleiding en hun film, video of clip is gemaakt in Brussel of door Brusselaars. Op basis hiervan oogst System_D al drie edities lang een nieuwe visuele taal die de rauwe, ongecensureerde poëzie van de grootstad verbeeldt vanuit het perspectief van mensen die nauwelijks het woord krijgen in de mainstream kanalen van het publiek debat.

Sur base de ces critères, System_D récolte depuis 3 éditions déjà un nouveau langage visuel qui met en scène la poésie crue et non-censurée de la mégapole, du point de vue de personnes dont la voix n’est quasi jamais portée par les médias mainstream du débat public. Dans System_D on tour, une offre de films sur mesure sera composée en collaboration avec les programmateurs sur base des thèmes d’actualité et des archives vidéo étendus de System D. System_D On Tour is a spin-off of the Film Festival System_D, organised every two years under the direction of Citylab Pianofabriek. The film festival selects Brussels films based on three criteria: The makers are young at heart, they did not enjoy film school and the film or video clip was made in Brussels or by people from Brussels. Based on these criteria, System_D has been harvesting a new visual language for three editions that portrays the raw, uncensored poetry of the metropolis from the perspective of people who barely get the floor in the mainstream channels of the public debate. Through collaboration with the programmers, a tailor-made film selection is compiled based on current themes and the extensive video archive of System_D.

Renée Goethijn & Dries Gijsels Renée en Dries leerden elkaar kennen tijdens hun regieopleiding aan het RITCS en zijn beide stichtend lid van de Brusselse K.A.K. Totally is hun tweede voorstelling samen, na het enthousiast ontvangen No use for binoculars. Ze zijn gefascineerd door het imperfecte, het absurde en het irrationele. In hun werk proberen ze het publiek met andere ogen naar de werkelijkheid te laten kijken, door die werkelijkheid te deconstrueren en met haken en ogen weer in elkaar te zetten.

In Totally proberen twee theatermakers een voorstelling te maken waarin niets mis kan gaan. Met alles houden ze rekening: de mogelijkheid van een lege zaal, een vergeten lap tekst die de hele betekenis verandert, een brand, de slappe lach krijgen tijdens een liefdesscène, het overlijden van een acteur op scène,… Met behulp van preventieve maatregelen willen ze alle onzekerheden en gevaren uit de toekomst bannen, maar hun doorgeslagen controledrang verandert langzaam in een neurotische nachtmerrie.

Dans Totally, deux créateurs de théâtre essaient de créer un spectacle où rien ne peut mal se passer. Ils tiennent compte de tout: la possibilité d’une salle vide, une partie de texte oubliée qui change tout le sens, le feu, un fou rire lors d’une scène d’amour, le décès d’un acteur en scène,… En prenant mille précautions ils veulent bannir toutes les incertitudes et les dangers du futur, mais leur envie de contrôle démesurée se change lentement en un cauchemar névrotique. In Totally two theater directors attempt to create a performance in which nothing can go wrong. They take everything into account: the possibility of an empty room, fire, getting the giggles during a love scene, the death of an actor on stage... together they strive to ban all uncertainties and dangers from the future but their compulsive control slowly turns into a neurotic nightmare.

Tributes creëert een universum vol excentrieke popsterren. David Bowie, George Michael, Prince,… Overleden monumenten. Iedereen kent hun muziek, hun alter ego’s en hun uitstraling. Een verhaal van extase, verlangen, eenzaamheid... Een verhaal dat iedereen raakt.

De Genoten zijn een twintigtal dansende mannen van alle leeftijden uit heel België. Sinds 2011 maken ze samen, onder leiding van Jo Heyvaert, voorstellingen voor de publieke ruimte waarin improvisatie en spelplezier centraal staan. Hun nieuwe voorstelling is Tributes, een creatie van Katie Vickers. Katie Vickers is een Amerikaanse kunstenares die in Brussel is blijvenwonen na haar afstuderen in 2014 aan P.A.R.T.S. Ze danste voor en met Daniel Linehan, Martin Nachbar, Benjamin Vandewalle, Vera Tussing. Ze danste recent mee in Figure a Sea van Deborah Hay voor het Cullberg Ballet.

Youri De Gussem a commencé la danse hip hop à l’âge de 11 ans. Par la suite il s’est formé à la danse contemporaine et à la danse classique à l’Athénée Royal des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles. Il a obtenu son bachelor en danse contemporaine au Conservatoire Royal d’Anvers. Il finalise ses études à P.A.R.T.S en 2013. Depuis Youri travaille avec de nombreux chorégraphes; Willi Dorner, Ricardo Ambrosio, Sarah Baltzinger… Parallèlement, il trouve le temps de se consacrer à ses propres projets. Sa dernière création est Zemiata qui a eu sa première dans le théâtre Bruxellois Cité Culture en janvier 2017.

Nous sommes des créatures sociales faites pour vivre ensemble. Les sociétés et les cultures se sont construites au fil du temps sur la base de cette idéologie. Aujourd’hui, dans un monde qui devient plus multiculturel et conflictuel, Zemiata tente, à travers le concept du rituel, de nous rapprocher de notre nature humaine.

Het ritueel is een praktijk die zo oud is als de mens op aarde rondloopt. Het is een middel om uit te drukken, te vereren, eer te betuigen en vooral om mensen te verenigen. Wij zijn sociale wezens, gemaakt om samen te leven. Samenlevingen en culturen zijn in de loop van de tijd gebouwd op basis van deze ideologie. Vandaag probeert Zemiata, in een multiculturele en confronterende wereld, via het concept ritueel dichter bij onze menselijke natuur te komen. Rituals are as old as man on Earth. They allow us to express, to venerate and especially to unite human beings. We are social creatures made to live together. Societies and cultures have been built over time based on this ideology. Today, in a world that becomes more multicultural and confrontational, Zemiata tries, through the concept of the ritual, to get closer to our human nature.

De plaatselijke bewoners spelen de echte Sioux, die zich nooit gewonnen gaven. Samen zullen ze zich engageren, galopperen en op de barricades staan voor een betere wereld. Madam Fortuna werkt daarbij altijd met een mix van sociaal en etnisch diverse mensen. Ze bieden hen een veilige, creatieve ruimte en begeleiding door professionelen uit de sociale en artistieke sector. Hun drijfveer: uit de eigen comfortzone treden, elkaar stimuleren en zo meewerken aan een actieve participatie in de samenleving. Het resultaat is even belangrijk als de weg er naartoe.

Corinne heyrman Corinne en Tijmen studeerden samen Woordkunst aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen. Corinne Heyrman heeft al veel ervaring met sociaal artistieke voorstellingen: voor haar afstudeerproject werkte ze samen met de bewoners uit de wijk Luchtbal, ze liep stage bij Tutti Fratelli en maakte This trumpet, een voorstelling waarvoor ze met een trompet door Antwerpen trok. Haar voorstellingen brengen steeds muziek, tekst en mensen samen. Tijmen Govaerts (De Nijverheid), richt(te) zich voornamelijk op theaterdat ontstaat uit hemzelf en niet uit andere mensen, daar wil hij nu verandering in brengen. PERFOR MANCE

De voorstelling begint in de brievenbussen van de wijk. Daarin stoppen de makers kaartjes met een duidelijke vraag: ‘Welke herinnering zou je nog één keer opnieuw willen beleven, mocht je daarna niet meer verder leven?’. Tegelijk is het kaartje een uitnodiging om de vraag te komen beantwoorden op één bepaalde dag en plek in de wijk.

Le spectacle commence dans les boîtes aux lettres du quartier. Les créateurs y mettront des cartes avec une question pertinente: ‘Quelle est le souvenir que vous souhaiteriez revivre, si vous deviez mourrir juste après?’ Sur ces cartes figurent également une proposition de rendez-vous, pour revenir répondre à cette question dans un lieu spécifique du quartier. The performance starts early, in the mailboxes of the neighbourhood. In it the makers put cards with a clear question: ‘Which memory would you want to experience again, if you would not continue to live afterwards?’. On the cards there is also an invitation for the people to come answer the question on one specific day, in the neighbourhood.

De Karavaan is een intercultureel muziekproject waarbij de ontmoeting tussen Romamuzikanten en muzikanten met een andere culturele achtergrond centraal staat. In Antwerpen en Gent repeteren twee muzikantengroepen en het concert brengt hun nieuwe repertoire van funky balkan grooves.

De Karavaan est un projet musical interculturel où des musiciens roms se mélangent à d’autres influences musicales. A Anvers et à Gand, deux groupes de musiciens répètent et lors du concert, ils présenteront leurs dernières créations. Au menu: du ‘funky balkan groove’. De Karavaan is an intercultural music project in which the encounter between Roma musicians and musicians with a different cultural background is key. Two groups of musicians are rehearsing in Antwerp and Ghent. The concert brings us their combined repertoire of funky balkan grooves.

Theater StAp Theater Stap is een professioneel theatergezelschap dat voorstellingen maakt waarin mensen met een mentale handicap centraal staan. In 2015 maakte Theater Stap De Bank. De voorstelling werd zeer enthousiast onthaald door pers en publiek en werd geselecteerd voor Het Theaterfestival. Paul Verrept schreef een vervolg op De Bank: De Wereld is het tweede luik van het verhaal over een moedige zoektocht naar geluk. Luc Nuyens en Frank Dierens gaan opnieuw aan de slag met de Stapspelers.

Neelke Jacobs & Annet Nooijen Neelke Jacobs en Annet Nooijen zijn beeldende kunstenaars die graag werken met groepen mensen, van schoolkinderen tot buurtbewoners. Annet is een actieve maker, die blij wordt van een goed verhaal en woordgrappen. Neelke is een ware denker, die blij wordt van lastige vragen en werken met hoofd, hart en handen. Samen zijn zij een ijzersterk duo, dat weer en wind, p ur-schuim en beton, potlood en zaag, niet schuwt.

Voor Kasper Demeulemeester is fotografie meer dan het maken van beelden. Fotografie biedt de mogelijkheid om mensen met elkaar te verbinden. Het maken van een foto kan een aanleiding zijn voor een gesprek en legitimeert soms ook een aantal daden (een vreemde aanspreken, stilstaan bij een moment) die anders – onterecht? – als ongepast of nutteloos worden beschouwd. Kasper werd in Brussel geboren en woont er nog steeds. Hij studeerde geschiedenis, filosofie en American Studies in de hoop zijn werk als fotograaf met antwoorden te onderbouwen. Dat viel tegen! Hoe meer ze tellen en op hun stappen letten, hoe dieper ze graven onderde oppervlakte, van de wijk en van zichzelf. Gaandeweg worden de foto’s een middel en een reden, niet langer een doel.

Avec vous, le photographe Kasper Demeulemeester compose une équipe de Reporters Inconscients pour se promener et faire des images de leur quartier comme jamais avant. Plus ils comptent et font attention à leurs pas, plus ils creusent en profondeur sous la surface, du quartier et d’eux-mêmes. Petit à petit, les photos deviennent un moyen et une raison, et non plus un objectif en soi.

Together with photographer Kasper Demeulemeester, participants will assemble a team of ‘Subconscious Reporters’. These reporters will set off to reveal their neighbourhood like no one else could. The more they count their steps, the deeper they dig under the surface of the neighbourhood and of themselves. Gradually the photos become a means and no longer simply a goal.

Thiago Antunes Thiago Antunes is a Brazilian artist based in Amsterdam with a background in theatre, contemporary dance and performance. During his post-master research at A.P.A.S.S. (Advanced Performance and Scenography Studies) in Brussels, he started developing participatory performances inspired by immigration laws, which incorporate bondage, role-playing and escape games.

Through the immersive elements of an actual escape game, the audience will play the role of newcomers who arrive on a planet where an integration exam is mandatory for acquiring the permission to stay. Losing the game implies being permanently expelled.

Via de meeslepende elementen van een escape game, krijgt het publiek de rol van de nieuwkomers die aankomen op een planeet waar een inburgeringexamen verplicht is voor een verblijfsvergunning. Wie het spel verliest, wordt permanent verbannen. Inburgering in M est un jeu d’échappée inspiré des examens d’entrée sur le territoire qu’imposent certains pays aux migrants. Ultima Vez & Seppe Baeyens Seppe Baeyens started out as a young dancer with fABULEUS and later turned up as a performer with the Kopergietery, Kabinet k, Productiehuis Brabant, Ontroerend Goed, Miet Warlop and others. Since the start of his career as a performing artist, Baeyens considers intergenerational work essential to show dance in it’s most human and vulnerable form. Sinds 2011 is danser en choreograaf Seppe Baeyens nauw verbonden aan de werking van Ultima Vez. Hij creëerde met hen zijn eerste grootschalige dansvoorstelling Tornar met een intergenerationele cast van niet-professionele en professionele dansers. Tornar oogstte veel lof in binnen- en buitenland en werd geselecteerd voor Het Theaterfestival 2015. Seppe Baeyens’ nieuwe inclusieve voorstelling in 2018 komt er na intensief onderzoek naar (podium)ruimte en co-auteurschap binnen de hedendaagse dans.

Since 2011, dancer and choreographer Seppe Baeyens has been closely linked with dance company Ultima Vez. In 2015, under the wings of the company of Wim Vandekeybus, he created his first large-scale dance performance Tornar with an intergenerational cast of non-professional and professional dancers. Seppe Baeyens’ new performance in 2018 comes after intensive research into theatre space and co-authorship in contemporary dance.

Pendant quelques semaines deux comédiennes explorent un quartier, interrogent habitants, passants et commerçants... Plus tard deux personnages vous invitent à les suivre au travers des rues dans une réalité Extra-Ordinaire, un rêve éveillé, une quête du quotidien dont vous êtes – peut-être – le héro.

Le PigeonS project est né de la rencontre de Mbalou Arnould et Blanche Tirtiaux, toutes deux comédiennes, musiciennes et metteurs en scène, autour de l’envie de faire du théâtre pour et avec les habitant.e.s d’un quartier, dans leurs lieux de vie. Une première série de rencontres – ateliers dans le quartier de Saint-Guidon (Anderlecht) abouti à la création de Mirages Urbains – Itinéraire d’un passant voyageur. Une deuxième série est lancée depuis l’automne 2017. Et sur le côté, Blanche Tirtiaux et Mbalou Arnould travaillent sur d’autres projets destinés à l’espace public tels que Les Fêlés, ou Strings.

Mathilde Laroque Mathilde Laroque a étudié l’art chorégraphique, la biologie et la médiation culturelle en France. Elle rejoint Bruxelles sous l’impulsion de la créativité et des rencontres artistiques. Depuis plus de dix ans, elle développe différents projets pluridisciplinaires et des ateliers envers différents publics. Avec l’artiste visuel Elen Sylla, elle co-fonde l’ASBL made with heART. & Emma Baes De Batterie is een participatieve kunstpraktijk die projecten ontwikkelt in Vlaanderen en Brussel. Met deelnemers vanuit alle hoeken, culturen en lagen van de maatschappij zet de Batterie langdurige en intensieve artistieke trajecten op touw. In samenwerking met professionele kunstenaars wil de Batterie kinderen, jongeren en volwassenen een stem geven. De Batterie start voor elk project vanuit een nieuwe context of omgeving en zoekt met hen naar een beeldtaal om in communicatie te treden met de wereld waarin we leven.

over buren Verhalen uit Nieuwenhove katrien@debatterie.be Wie zijn de personages van de Nieuwenhove wijk en wie zijn hun buren? Vier maanden verbleven vzw de Batterie en filmmaakster Emma Baes in de Brugse Mettenstraat in Oostkamp. Samen met enthousiaste buurtbewoners trokken ze met de filmbus de wijk in, op zoek naar verhalen. Het resultaat is een boeiend portret van een kleurrijke buurt gemaakt door Emma Baes met en over de bewoners van Nieuwenhove.

Qui sont les personnages du quartier Nieuwenhove et qui sont leurs voisins? L’asbl de Batterie et la cinéaste Emma Baes ont séjourné pendant quatre mois dans le ‘Brugse Mettenstraat’ à Oostkamp (Bruges). laura Vandewynckel Laura Vandewynckel maakte in 2013 haar eerste stop-motion poppenfilm What’s On. In 2014 studeerde ze af met Het Paradijs, een lichtvoetige, doch kritische reflectie op de ethiek van het toerisme. De film werd geselecteerd voor en won prijzen op internationale filmfestivals. Haar eerste professionele film Pharmakos, een fictiefilm met live geanimeerde poppen, kwam tot stand met de steun van de Cinéfondation en het Griekse Film Centrum. Momenteel werkt ze als onafhankelijk filmmaker, acteur, grafisch ontwerper, animator en decorbouwer voor film en televisie.

Het operculum is het dekseltje waarmee de slak de opening van zijn schelp afsluit als hij bedreigd wordt. Opercula (de slakkeninvasie) is een kritische reflectie op de neiging van mensen om bij dreiging muren op te trekken. Twee weken lang wordt aan reuzenslakken gebouwd die guerrilla-gewijs in de stad worden neergezet, als een visuele alarmbel. Opercula is een participatief kunstproject op de snijlijn tussen beeldhouwkunst, ruimtelijke performance en videokunst.

L’opercule est cette forme de petit couverclepar lequel escargot ferme l’ouverture de sa coquille quand ils se sent menacé. Opercula est une réflexion critique sur sur ce réflexe que nous avons de nous dresser des murs à la moindre menace. Pendant deux semaines, nous construirons des escargots géants comme autant de sonnettes d’alarme: une guérilla visuelle. Opercula est un projet artistique participatif au croisement de la sculpture, la performance spatiale et l’art de la vidéo dans l’espace urbain. Opercula (the snail invasion) is a participatory art project and fusion of sculpture, spatial performance and video art. In nature, the operculum is a lid with which the snail seals the opening of its shell when the conditions are not favorable for its survival. Opercula is a critical reflection of our own tendency to build walls and to encapsulate our identity in difficult times. For two weeks participants will build giant snails and place them guerrilla style throughout the city as a visual alarm.

Action malaise Action Malaise was al gekend van hun opmerkelijke theaterproducties. In 2015 ontstond de kiem voor het opzetten van een reizend sociaal-artistiek theatergezelschap. Vorig jaar maakte ze Petit Espace I; het eerste deel van wat een trilogie moet worden. Doel is om met een tweetalig sociaal-artistiek theatergezelschap op tour te gaan. Geen grote decors, geen grote lichtshows, maar maximale aandacht op spel, inhoud, taboes én humor. Action Malaise brengt theater vertrekkend van eigen tekstmateriaal of bewerkingen, met een voorliefde voor pijnplekken en ver-van-mijn-bedproblemen die zich eigenlijk onder onze neus afspelen.

Petit Espace I aborde avec humour agacements quotidiens, de la sexualité et du manque de dialogue. Des personnes diverses entre en conflit et outrepassent dans les situations les plus quotidiennes: dans une sandwicherie,dans le bus ou chez le psychiatre. May I ask for a sample in a Belgian store? Should I follow the rules the bus driver imposes? Do I tolerate that my husband wants to kiss me in public? Petit Espace I talks about irritations, sexuality and incomprehension – with a sense of humour. Alexa Wright Alexa Wright is an artist based in London. She uses a wide range of media, including photography, video, sound, interactive installation, performance and book works to explore narratives of otherness through the personal stories of people whose life experiences place them at the limit of what is acceptably human. Many of Alexa’s projects involve collaborations with medical scientists and or people with medical conditions or disabilities. Working at the intersection of art and medical science, her works explore human inter-subjectivity through qualities like vulnerability and empathy.

In 2015–16 Alexa Wright spent nine months as Artist in Residence at two NHS Foundation Trust recovery centres in London, UK. These centres promote recovery for people who have been in a state of crisis during an acute period of mental ill-health. Weekly workshops at each centre offered people from a range of social, ethnic and economic backgrounds a non-judgmental context where they could find a visual language to communicate their personal experiences of mental ill-health by creating collages from magazine cuttings.

In 2015–16 verbleef artieste Alexa Wright negen maanden in twee revalidatiecentra van NHS Foundation Trust in Londen. Die centra ijveren voor het herstel van mensen die een crisis doormaakten door mentale ziekte. De wekelijkse workshops in die centra boden mensen van diverse sociale, etnische en economische achtergronden een onbevooroordeelde omgeving waarin ze via een visuele taal hun persoonlijke ervaringen van mentale ziekte konden uiten door collages uit magazines. En 2015–16, Alexa Wright a passé neuf mois en tant qu’artiste en résidence à deux centres de rétablissement NHS Foundation Trust à Londres, GB. Ces centres s’occupent du rétablissement de personnes qui on vécu un moment de crise lors de troubles mentaux ponctuels. Des workshops hebdomadaires dans chaque centre y offraient aux personnes d’horizons variés sur le plan social, éthique et économique un contexte de non-jugement où ils ont pu trouver un langage visuel pour communiquer sur leurs expériences personnelles de maladie mentale en créant des collages avec des magazines.

The set-up of a temporary Post-Labouratory office gives citizens the possibility to have consultations on how to automate their labour. First prototypes of machines, robots and software that can perform their labour and prepare them for a post-labour future are collectively developped. Post-Labouratory is an answer to the rapid automations of labour en questions our work ethics by exploring an alternative future.

Het tijdelijk Post-Labouratory kantoor adviseert de burger bij het ontwerpen van prototypes van machines, robots, software en artificiële intelligentie die hun werk automatiseren. De deelnemers weten als de beste hoe de robots zouden moeten functioneren. Post-Labouratory is een antwoord op het snelle automatiseren van de samenleving en stelt tegelijk onze werk ethiek in vraag. Le bureau éphémère Post-Labouratory propose aux citoyens de développer des prototypes de machines, robots ou logiciels qui pourraient effectuer leur travail et pour préparer un futur posttravail. Les participants sauront mieux que personne comment les robots fonctionnent. Post-Labouratory est une réponse à l’automatisation gallopant de la société et interroge notre éthique de travail.

Tint is een jong theatergezelschap dat sinds 5 jaar artistieke theatervoorstellingen maakt met jongeren in Brussel. Ze vertrekken vanuit hun leefwereld om te komen tot zeer uiteenlopende voorstellingen. Tint, het theatergezelschap van Eline George en Elke Gryson, wil zich als een web over Brussel uitspannen en gaat daarbij altijd op zoek naar nieuwe boeiende samenwerkingen. Eline George is stafmedewerkster Theater bij WISPER. Ze studeerde aan de toneelacademie Maastricht af als theatermaker/theaterdocent. Elke Gryson studeerde aan de Luca School of Arts af als actrice/ theaterdocent.

It is like an island in the city with it’s high-rise buildings, maze of social housing, football squares and narrow back alleys. Ted Oonk & Initia Ted Oonk is een Nederlandse kunstenaar die in België woont. Haar artistieke praktijk omvat vooral fotografie en video. Concepten die vaak terugkeren in haar werk zijn normaliteit, classificatie en stereotypen. Het werk van Ted Oonk werd reeds nationaal en internationaal tentoongesteld. Jan Knops is artistiek en zakelijk leider van Initia in Brussel. Als curator en praktisch filosoof heeft hij de afgelopen jaren diverse projecten en publicaties gerealiseerd.

For three weeks we will follow the routines of people, places and objects of your neighborhood. While listening to its legends and rumors, we will create new ones, based on our encounters in the streets. In the end, we will share a personal and unique portrait of the area, offering the opportunity to rediscover what we thought we knew.

Gedurende drie weken volgen we de gewoontes van mensen, plaatsen en voorwerpen in een buurt. Terwijl we luisteren naar oude legendes en geruchten, creëren we nieuwe, gebaseerd op onze ontmoetingen op straat. Op het einde delen we een persoonlijk en uniek portret van de buurt, waarbij we de kans bieden om al wat we dachten te kennen, te herontdekken. Pendant trois semaines, suivrons la vie quotidienne de personnes, de lieux et d’objets de votre quartier. De Conventie Vzw De Conventie is een kunsteducatieve organisatie die zich op het brandpunt bevindt tussen welzijn, cultuur en onderwijs. Vzw De Conventie heeft als missie het aanbieden van dans en theater aan zo veel mogelijk kinderen en jongeren, en hun begeleiders. Als werkplek, met een bijzondere focus op kwetsbare kinderen, wil de organisatie de eerste stap zijn in de artistieke ontwikkeling van kinderen en jongeren. De Conventie zet trajecten op in het buitengewoon onderwijs. Daarnaast organiseert het o.a. theaterkampen voor kinderen van asielzoekers en werkt het samen met jongerenpsychiatrie Caritas.

de wereld info@deconventie.be In VTS3 Sint-Niklaas zitten zes jongeren samen in één klas met elk hun eigen problematiek. Het is niet altijd eenvoudig om hun plek te vinden, maar ze worden daarbij geholpen door hun attente juf. Op een dag komt de directrice binnen en zegt dat de juf voor onbepaalde tijd niet aanwezig zal zijn, en er vervanging gezocht zal worden. De jongeren zijn overstuur en één van hen vertelt over een legende die zou hebben plaatsgevonden op school.

En VTS3 à Saint-Nicolas, six jeunes sont dans la même classe chacun avec ses problèmes. Ce n’est pas toujours évident de trouver sa place, mais ils sont entourés de l’attention de leur professeure attentionnée. Un jour, la directrice entre en disant que la prof sera absente pour une durée indéterminée et qu’on cherchera un remplaçant. Les jeunes sont contrariés. L’un d’eux se met à raconter une légendre à propos de l’école. In VTS3 Sint-Niklaas, six young students form one class but each come with their own problems. It is not always easy to find their place, but they are helped by their attentive teacher. One day the principal informs them their teacher will be absent indefinitely, and replacement will be sought. The youth are upset by this integral change in their lives and one of them tells a legend that takes place at their school.

Moving Ground Moving Ground is een jong gezelschap uit Antwerpen-Noord. In hun voorstellingen en sociaal-artistieke projecten proberen ze grenzen tussen mensen te vervagen door middel van dans, maar ook de grenzen binnen de dans te verbreken. De performances van Moving Ground maken dans(en) zeer laagdrempelig. Moving Ground creëert ook kansen voor (toekomstige) performers uit kwetsbare groepen. Zo coachten ze Theater Bonkitasi van armoedewerking Erm in Erm, en organiseerden ze een workshopreeks bij Theater Tartaar.

Of vluchten. Met We all speak in poems probeert Moving Ground op publieke plaatsen elkaars poëzie te horen en zo samen tot beweging te komen.

Notre corps parle une langue. Une langue qui hurle en silence. Si on se voit souvent, on n’entend pas pour autant notre poésie. Ceci mène parfois à des conflits. Ou à des coups. Ou à la fuite. Avec We all speak in poems, Moving Ground essaie d’écouter la poésie des autres à des endroits publics pour ensuite se mettre en marche ensemble. Our body speaks a language. A language that screams in silence. We often see each other, but we do not hear each other’s poetry. This sometimes makes us crash. Or push. Or flee. With We all speak in poems, Moving Ground tries to hear each other’s poetry in public places and to move together.

Het spel Wie is er bang van Fatima Sultan? is het resultaat van een participatief traject met vormgeefster Sara Dykmans en een groep Afghaanse vrouwen. Ze komen samen vanuit een gedeelde liefde voor textiele ambachten. Tijdens de handwerksessies worden vaak openhartige gesprekken gevoerd over thema’s zoals vrouw-zijn, identiteit, cultuur, emancipatie en relaties. Anyuta wiazemsky Anyuta Wiazemsky is een jonge Russisch-Belgische kunstenaar. Ze studeerde af aan de rechtenacademie in Moskou voordat ze besloot een artistieke carrière na te streven. Ze studeerde Fine Arts aan de Koninklijke Kunstacademie in Gent, België. Ze werkt in verschillende media en formaten, waaronder fotografie, performance, installatie en participatieve sociale artistieke projecten.

In dit project worden alle wijkbewoners uitgenodigd om mee te doen aan de creatie van een kunstwerk dat de identiteit van de wijk naar de andere wijken toe zal weergeven. De wijktotem heeft een eigen symbolische betekenis die de energie en dynamiek van de wijk uitstraalt en waarmee de inwoners van de wijk zich sterk verbonden voelen.

Dans ce projet, tous les résidents d’un quartier sont invités participer à la création d’une œuvre d’art qui montre l’identité du quartier aux autres quartiers. Le totem du quartier a sa propre signification symbolique qui irradie l’énergie et le dynamisme du quartier et avec laquelle les habitants du quartier se sentent fortement connectés. In this project all neighborhood residents are invited to participate in the creation of a work of art that reflects the identity from the neighborhood towards the other neighborhoods. The district totem has its own symbolic meaning that radiates the energy and dynamism of the neighborhood and with which the inhabitants of the neighborhood feel strongly connected.

The creation takes 2 months.

Victoria Deluxe Victoria Deluxe is uit de moederschoot van theaterproductiehuis Victoria geboren. In 2004 werd Victoria Deluxe een zelfstandig sociaal-artistiek werkplatform binnen de stedelijke context van Gent. Via een artistiek werkproces geeft Victoria Deluxe diverse, kwetsbare mensen en groepen uit de stad een ‘stem’ en laat ze tot ‘verhaal’ komen. Hierdoor ontstaan er andere en nieuwe perspectieven op onze complexe werkelijkheid. Ze vertrekken daarbij steeds vanuit de kwaliteiten en sterktes van de deelnemers.

Jong Talent aan zet! liesbethmaene@victoriadeluxe.be YOUnited9000 is een artistiek platform voor talentontwikkeling dat jong talent wil opsporen. Jongeren tussen 15 en 25 jaar kunnen wekelijks op Victoria Deluxe terecht in een theater-, dans- of muziekatelier. Inspirerende kunstenaars begeleiden de ateliers en de jongeren in hun artistieke ontplooiing. Na zes maanden eindigt elk traject in een toonmoment op één van de podia van Vooruit, NTGent of De Centrale.

Toutes les semaines, les jeunes entre 15 et 25 ans sont invités à Victoria Deluxe pour un atelier de théâtre, de danse ou de musique. Des artistes inspirants, animent les ateliers. Ils coachent les jeunes dans leur développement artistique. Après six mois, chaque trajet termine par une présentation sur l’une des scènes du Vooruit, NTGent ou De Centrale. Les jeunes ayant du talent et de l’ambition reçoivent l’opportunité de se développer par après par le biais de trajets de coaching et de perfectionnement. YOUnited9000 is an artistic platform for talent development that wants to discover young talent. Every week young people aged between 15 and 25 are welcomed at Victoria Deluxe in their theater, dance and music studios. Inspiring artists supervise the three workshops and coach the young people in their artistic development. After six months, each route culminates with a showcase on one of stages in Vooruit, NTGent or De Centrale. Young people with talent and ambition are given the opportunity to further develop themselves through coaching and career advancement.

plus tot te laat Het beeld van de stad en wie de stad maakt bepaalt de producties van PTTL.Burgers worden producenten, kijkers worden makers, taal en vorm stellen vraagtekens bij de maatschappij, PPTL richt zich naar iedereen die geïnteresseerd is in de Brusselse stedelijkheid. Axel Claes is oprichter en kernlid van kunstenplatform PTTL; hij is stencildrukker; hij was ook onafhankelijk filmmaker bij ateliers urbains/werkplaats stad. Ooit engageerde hij zich voor het sociaal statuut voor kunstenaars. Al decennia geeft hij vorm aan de strijd in de stad.

ChezRosi is het riso-atelier van Plus tôt te Laat. Hier wordt het drukwerk van het ENTER Festival BXL verzorgd. Ook hier kiezen we voor collectiviteit en een DIY-aanpak. Risografie kan je vergelijken met zeefdruk: je kan er zowel tekst als tekeningen en foto’s mee drukken. Het eindresultaat lijkt handgemaakt, ver weg van glanzend reclamedrukwerk. Het papier voelt meestal ruw aan en de soja-inkten zijn helder en transparant.

ChezRosi est l’atelier d’impression risographique du Plus tôt te Laat. C’est l’imprimeur du Enter Festival BXL. Un choix tourné vers la collectivité et une approche DIY. Pour les petits budgets, ChezRosi organise des ateliers et des formations qui permettent d’imprimer et d’assembler des livres ou fanzines de manière relativement indépendante. ChezRosi is the riso-workshop that is part of Plus Tôt Te Laat. They print all the Enterfestival Brussels stuff. Again this is a choice for collectivity and a DIY approach.

Garage64 zijn de vormgevers van het festival en gieten de Enteruitgangspunten in een vorm: rekbaar en kwetsbaar en buigzaam en sterk. Garage64 dat is de cine-typo-grafische speeltuin van Maaike en Fairuz. Ze experimenteren met stilstaande en bewegende beelden. Het tastbare haalt het vaak van het virtuele; dat vertaalt zich in een eigen alfabet, een roadmovie, een hand gezet verhaal, een gepapte tekstfilm en een stapel druksels. Ze vertellen verhalen, het liefst samen met anderen en houden van een ongepolijste esthetiek.

Garage64 is the cine-typo-graphic playground of Maaike and Fairuz. They experiment with still and moving images; silk screened posters, a box of rubber stamps, an impossible to print magazine and sketches on super8. They tell stories, together with others and love no nonsense aesthetics. Garage64 est un atelier ciné-typo-graphique pour tous vos dépannages communicatives. Elles experimentents avec des images (im)mobiles; des affiches artisanales, des croquis sur pellicule, un salon des formes, un magazine interactif. On aime raconter des histoires, surtout si c’est avec des personnes qu’on ne connaît pas encore. Nous kiffons une pratique non-industrielle.
