Olowalu Village is a quaint community on west Maui with less than 100 residents. Many long time Maui families have lived here for several generations. The village consists of a general store, fruit stand, and the celebrated “Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop”. The Olowalu Cultural Center is located in Olowalu Valley which cultivates taro, sweet potato, breadfruit and other indigenous plants. They maintain the trail that runs along the Olowalu Stream for several hiking miles. There are also several family farms in Olowalu Village.

An antique Joglo adorns the great room ceiling, which is a type of traditional vernacular structure of the Javanese people. It refers to the shape of the roof. The great room was designed to maximize the experience of tropical living. Custom lighting and teak details are found throughout the home. Custom designed limestone banana tree reliefs lead you down the exterior corridors. Etched marble floors are throughout the interior and exterior.
