Artist Bio

David began his formal glass art training in 1999 when he attended the Pilchuck glass school founded by Dale Chihuly. There he studied the art of shaping and polishing glass under Mark Taylor. It was here that David developed a unique style of cutting glass derived from his experience working with crystal, and his observations of ice formations. These new techniques enhanced the light in his creations, and thus began his

While attending college he began evolving his style, and showing his work in West Coast galleries. After graduation in 2004, David attended Pilchuk again, and continued improving his sculpture techniques. His style was becoming more detailed and precise. Shortly thereafter, David got his big break. The founders of Google commissioned him to construct a five-foot glass sculpture of the Google logo in his unique style. This enabled him to move to San Diego, and open up a studio.

Once in San Diego, David began focusing on smaller sculptures such as candle holders and paperweights. At a farmers market in May 2005, a young lady asked David to transform one of the custom paperweights into a pendant, and when she put it on, David had a lightbulb moment. From then on he evolved his signature techniques into the creation of his LeightWorks Crystal Jewelry line. David’s desire to create unique, custom, wearable art can be seen in the pieces he creates today.

His award winning jewelry is now sold throughout the world in museums, galleries, airports, casinos, cruise ships, gift shops, and other retail locations. LeightWorks has been seen on FOX,

HowMit’sade

Using original techniques, LeightWorks is made with unique crystal and sterling silver designs. Each piece is cut into a custom shape, polished or frosted, then layered with thin precious metals inside which make the stones glow from within.

This color technology, developed by NASA, in combination with our crystal designs produces a beautiful prismatic glow of color on your skin. It glows in the daylight; changes color with the movement, and even reflects the colors of your outfit.

LeightWorks crystal pieces are set in sterling silver and the color is layered inside meaning it will never fade; they're also durable, waterproof and easy to clean.

Each piece is designed for adventure; bringing light and color, original style, simple elegance and a fantastic eye-catching quality to all who wear them.

LeightWorks crystals are available in six vibrant colors and two finishes.

We suggest you order our best selling styles in each of our top 3 colors in either polished or frosted finish, or both for variety. Our top colors are blue, green and fire.

You will sell twice as many blues and greens, so order a larger quantity of these. It’s also very important to brighten the display with splashes of fire, a unique vibrant color that adds a pop and catches the eye.

The heart pendants and earrings are popular in pink, and the violet is a great color to have on hand in smaller quantities. To further fill the display, we suggest you add aqua, which is in-between blue and green.

Aqua is consistently one of the best selling colors for our coastal accounts.

Our Colors

POLISHED FROSTED

POLISHED

Polished crystals are backed with clear glass. Their luminous colors seem to change when seen from different angles. These colors shift depending on the light, your skin tone, and the color of your clothing.

Frosted crystals are backed with black glass. These maintain their primary color, however change slightly depending on the angle. They appear lit from within and glow on any background.

ROCKY AND SHELLS

Rocky and Shell crystals are polished with texture. The colors appear to shift in and out of light and shadow. The light catches the angles on the irregularities of the texture creating dimension.
