COME & HELP US CELEBRATE OUR 184TH YEAR OF BUSINESS! Growing and selling wonderful apples is Gunnison’s specialty! They offer an abundant variety of the northeast’s bountiful fruits: Fugi, Northern Spy, Honey Crisp, Gala, Empire, Cortland, Red Delicious, and the local favorite that never fails, McIntosh. In the Gift Shop located next to the year round apple warehouse, Gunnison’s also has a special refrigeration room that can keep apples at their freshest for months. The bakery is also another wonderful addition to the orchard. After taking your family for a trip to the orchard to pick apples, stop in and have Gunnison’s amazing fresh cider and take home a freshly baked pie made that morning. The bakery also has homemade cider donuts made daily (cinnamon sugar is a favorite). The Gift Shop has Adirondack décor, local consignment crafts and an assortment of honey and maple syrup products. A trip to Gunnison’s is a must! Bakery & Gift Shop open from late spring until Christmas. Apple storage is open until mid-June.

Every Wed. & Fri. from 9 - 10:15 am The theme this year is “Reclaiming the River.” Participants do a craft project while learning fun ways to help keep our lakes and rivers cleaner. Wednesday, July 7 LaChute Spider - Create your own spider to help catch insects that may live along the river. Friday, July 9 Painting with Soil - Using native soils and watercolors, participants will make a picture. Wednesday, July 14 “Mother Earth” - This joint program with the Ticonderoga Festival Guild presents Kitty Jones as “Mother Earth.” “Mother” presents good ecological practices in a fun way. Friday, July 16 Thumb Print Fish - Create a unique school of fish with your thumbprints. Wednesday, July 21 Boats - Make your own boat to sail on the LaChute, Lake George, or Lake Champlain. Friday, July 23 Carp Wind Sock - Find out which way the wind is blowing by building your own wind sock.
