Adult Programs

Adult Cardio, Ages 18+

An ultimate, high-energy tennis class featuring drills to give players a dynamic workout for Level 3.5-4.0 players.

Adult Tennis 101, Ages 18+

For beginner adults that have no experience and are wanting to learn the basics of tennis.

Adult Tennis 201, Ages 18+

For intermediate adults that are ready for game base drills and point play.

Adult Pickleball, Ages 18+

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sport in America. The game combines elements of tennis, ping-pong, and badminton. The rules are simple, and the game is easy for beginners to learn but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

Youth Programs

Elementary Class, Ages 5-10 For beginner or intermediate players. Players will have a blast learning basic strokes, while intermediate players begin playing for points and keeping score. Middle School Class, Ages 11-14 For beginner or intermediate players. Beginner players will learn the basic strokes and a jump start into match play. Intermediate Players will do advancing strokes to the next level and developing point strategies while transitioning into the High Performance Program. High Performance Tennis, Ages 5-18 BY INVITATION ONLY Evaluations are required and athlete must be playing in tournaments. There are 4 different levels which are NOT determined by age or grade. Players will learn how to build point, manage emotions, and develop different levels of conditioning and leadership roles.

Homeschool Programs

Home School Tennis Players will learn basic strokes, scoring, and the history of tennis in this comprehensive program suited for players of all ages and ability level. Players will be taught by a USTA certified tennis pro.

PICKLEBALL

The fastest growing sport!

Pickleball is an indoor or outdoor paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

The game was invented in 1965 by three enterprising dads for their children who were bored with their usual activites.

Pickleball grew in 2021 to 4.8 million players in the US, according to the 2022 Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) Single Sport Report on Pickleball.

Indoor court times and locations

Mondays & Fridays 11 - 1 p.m. Denia Recreation Center Gym

Tuesdays and Thursdays Noon - 3 p.m. North Lakes Recreation Center Gym Daily or Yearly Rec Pass Required

Court Rules and Facts

The tennis courts are open on a first-come first-serve basis! The clubhouse is closed to the public. No more than four people per court. Bring your own water and hand sanitizer.

Hours of Operation 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

All City of Denton tennis programs and tournaments have priority to the courts over open play. Tennis Tournaments will be all-day events.

Tennis Classes Held Monday through Thursday 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Inclement Weather Courts will close for rainy weather, wind chill, or temperature below 38 degrees.

Site rules are posted at each of the locations.
