01 Porta Puente
Hybrid Multimodal Transport Hub for the Bedroom Community of Bacoor City COMPREHENSIVE DESIGN PROJECT
PORTA PUENTE, A HYBRID MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT HUB IN THE HEART OF THE BEDROOM COMMUNITY OF BACOOR CITY is the product of thorough study of demographic behavior and needs of the community in which creates a transformative, transcendent, and connective comprehensive design project.
7
Bedroom communities like Bacoor suffer with poor mass transit design amidst continuously growing population inside and job opportunities outside the city. Hence, the proposal of a multi-modal transport hub with cultural and social amenities becomes an anchor that takes advantage of all these traits in order to create a healthy and thriving community. 8
The project includes a multi-modal hub of various inter-city and intra-city transport modes, connected with the proposed LRT-6 station at Niog and a park-and-ride facility, and decorated with cultural spaces that promote social activities and tourism.

02 Dap-ayan ti Kaigorotan
Modern Day Dap-ay for Self-determined Sustainable Development of the Kaigorotan of Cordillera DESIGN PROJECT
Developments in the indigenous lands should, first and foremost, be for and by the people. Modernization that is inclusive of the people’s interests inspires favorable responses and creates collaborative design that pushes forward our understanding of the built and natural environment to a whole new frontier.
17
This project takes inspiration from the dap-ay, a sociopolitical institution and structure that represents the Igorot’s capability of self-determination.

Utilizing the typology of a community center and merging it with local concepts and themes of community-building creates the Dap-ayan ti Kaigorotan that celebrates the diverse culture and traditions of a unified people of Cordillera.

03 Pauli
A Materials Recovery Facility of Tanaw de Rizal CONCEPT PROJECT
in collaboration with James Edward Olegario
Pauli derives its name from the word pauli-uli, referring to the back-andforth flow of the stream around the area. This back-and-forth concept has been the inspiration and context in which this project has been designed as it attempts to mark the barrio’s name on the map with its commitment to materials recovery. 23
The main challenge with this project is to integrate tropical design principles into the design and to find a way to utilize PET bottles in its construction.
24
It is located on top of the mountainous terrain of the ecopark, offering a vista overlooking Mount San Cristobal. It also includes spaces for recreation including a lecture hall and a souvenir shop.
