“There’s a lot of good people out here who are just hungry. The food is always great at the Mission!” – Pockets, dinner guest
“We would go hungry without the Mission,” says Bonnie. “I like the chapel services because they keep me connected to my faith,” says Tim. – Tim and Bonnie, married dinner guests
“Fort Collins needs this Mission to reach out to the homeless. If the Mission weren’t here, I would be in bad shape, and certainly not sober. It’s helped me get back on my feet and put a smile on my face.” – Greg, shelter guest and program participant
Fr om t he C EO Dear Friends, It all begins with a meal. When you are hungry it is hard to think about much of anything else. So when someone is hungry, we feed them. If they need a warm and dry place to stay, we provide a bed. Once a person has had these important but simple needs met, they are often ready to talk about change. Change from living on the street, change from a life of addiction or poor choices or tough circumstances. Change is never easy, so it is important that people know we are serious about helping them. This is why it all starts with a meal. In providing a meal at the Fort Collins Rescue Mission, we show those who come to us seeking help that God loves
them and that we can be trusted to care about them. It is the way we begin our relationship. I know it may not seem like much, but it is so important to leading people toward a changed life, toward the path of becoming a productive, self-sufficient citizen. Thank you for your help, which allows us to provide that valuable meal where healing begins. God Bless,
Brad Meuli, President/CEO Denver Rescue Mission/Fort Collins Rescue Mission

Our desire is for each person who comes through our doors to find their purpose in Christ, and self-sufficiency in life. These may seem like lofty goals, but we believe in them. We also believe that in order for our guests to take steps forward, we need to meet their basic needs. A satisfying meal, dry clothes and a warm bed can give them the peace of mind they need to begin making life-changing decisions.
